48 A day in the park

Early the next morning

Zeus left Abyss Island, flying back to Dress Ross with extreme speed. Bonney and Persephone were on his shoulders as usual. Bonney was going to come and Persephone was taking a stroll when she saw Zeus and insisted on coming.

And so

Zeus continued his journey along with two women in animals forms. Zeus was wearing Bonney's Cloak and mask for now, but he had his hat on under his hood.

He finally arrived at Dress Rosa and swiped a bunch of newspapers from the newsgulls flying around, stacking them in his cloud. He must've had hundreds. Bonney and Persephone were confused about why he was taking all the newspapers but Zeus gave them a mysterious smile and said "You'll see~"

After collecting an absurd amount of newspapers

Zeus flashed into the palace and found Riku eating breakfast. Zeus wasn't polite and directly sat at the table, Riku was startled and said "Oh Hey!" Zeus grinned and said "Hey, did you think about it?" Riku nodded and said "Since the people agreed, I accept."

Zeus clapped happily and pulled out the map he had been working on, he unrolled it on the table and showed Riku his plans. Riku looked at the plans and was stunned. The was simply the most beautiful set of plans he had ever seen. There was even a Colosseum!

Riku looked at the plans and said "When are they going to start?" Zeus said "They should arrive tomorrow and start immediately after. I told them to bring even more than last time, and they had hundreds last time. All the materials and expenses are provided by me of course."

Riku nodded and Viola came running in saying "Dad! Look at the newspap-" she choked her words back and looked at Zeus, startled. Riku looked at the newspaper before chuckling and saying "I already knew. Come look at these plans."

Viola came over and gasped "So beautiful!" Zeus said proudly "Made 'em myself!" Viola smirked and said "Oh yeah? Do you have a girlfriend?" Zeus turned green and Bonney and Persephone growled at Viola.

Zeus coughed and said "Please, are you trying to kill me?" Viola covered her mouth and giggled before turning around and kicking a rock saying "Good thing I don't have to clean!" the rock flew through the window and hit a man walking on the street.

A woman held him in her arms and screamed "It happened again! WHY GOD, WHY!"

Viola ignored them and skipped away happily. Zeus swallowed his saliva and looked at Riku, who shrugged with a helpless expression. Zeus shook his head and forgot about it, getting back to business as he said "When do you want to clear out of Dress Rosa? I suggest you at least wait a day or two for the marines to leave."

Riku nodded and said "That's what I was thinking.. Oh right, where is it by the way?" Zeus chuckled and said "Abyss Island. Not far at all." Riku was startled and said incredulously "You?!" Zeus nodded and said "Everything."

Riku sucked in a cold breath and said "Impressive!" Zeus chuckled and nodded before saying "I'll tell the architects to build the palace last so you can put whatever secret entrances you want inside." Riku rubbed his chin and nodded when a guard ran in saying "King! It's bad! Lucy kidnapped the Princess!"

Riku wasn't too worried and waved him off saying "She'll be back, relax. Go do something." the guard was stunned and just walked away with a confused expression. Zeus burst out laughing, Riku sneered and said "What are you laughing at? Your brother is going to be my grandson-in-law."

Zeus choked back his laughter and coughed as he said "What!?" Riku chuckled and said "That little Rebecca likes your brother. I wouldn't be surprised if she really does run away with him."

Zeus looked at Riku before smirking and saying "You realize Luffy has no idea about things between a man and woman right?" Riku's face turned ugly, almost as if he'd swallowed a fly and Zeus started laughing again before standing up and saying "I'll see you in a few days Riku. I have people to see!" Riku waved quickly, still thinking about his future grandson-in-law's poor education.

Zeus chuckled and blurred before disappearing completely. He passed Viola on the way out and grinned as he slapped her ass before disappearing while laughing, Viola grabbed her bottom and glared at the sky snarling "You bastard!" she kicked a rock near her and his another man.

His brother held him in his arms and cried "OH GOD! HE WAS SO YOUNG!"

Viola grinded her teeth and muttered "Damn perverted bastard. I'll get you one day!"

Zeus was already gone and getting pecked and scratched on his neck from both Bonney and Persephone. He didn't care at all, he was ecstatic right now, Bonney and Persephone both felt his emotions but were still peeved, even though it purely playfulness from Zeus.

Zeus hummed as he flew along in the air. He saw Issho moving rubble over to the attacking pirates, allowing the Straw Hats and others to escape as he couldn't kill the citizens that were on the dock.

Zeus flashed next to Issho and said "Thank you Issho. You're a good man. If I was still a marine, we could've been friends." Zeus sighed and disappeared before Issho could speak. Issho smiled slightly and shook his head saying "Once a marine, always a marine... Zeus.. I will remember you."

Zeus flashed to the crow's nest on the Yonta Maria and saw the Gladiators offering son's cups to Luffy. Zeus grinned and said "You both ready for the show?" Bonney and Persephone had an idea, putting the pieces together. Bonney covered her eyes and said "You're so embarrassing!"

Persephone just sighed and covered her eyes with her tail.

Zeus laughed and whistled.

Everybody on the ship looked up at the laughter and saw a giant cloud rolling in. The cloud hovered above them before dropping hundreds of newspapers, Zeus twitched his fingers and created a wind to let the newspapers flutter open while scattering as they fell onto the deck.

Everybody looked at the newspapers before gasping and hearing a thump. The crews looked at the newspapers and their eyes widened before turning around at the noise.

Zeus was standing on the railing of the upper deck and said "You can't have a fleet being born without me!" he chuckled and pulled the cloak off along with the mask and vaporizing them both in mid-air, revealing his face and hat.

Zeus looked at the crew and grinned "Long time no see."

The crew teared up and Luffy shouted "ZEUS!" and cried while lunging at him, wrapping his arms and legs around him and crying loudly "You're aliiveee!!!!!!" Robin snapped her fingers and said "Of course!" before wiping her eyes with a big smile.

Zoro grinned and turned away with red eyes.

Usopp was stunned silly and shouted "A ghost!" Franky was crying loudly and said "It's SUPER great to see you! Waaaaaah!"

Zeus hugged Luffy tightly and said "I missed you Luffy.." Luffy cried harder and said "I thought you were dead!" Zeus chuckled and patted his head with tears in his eyes as well. Luffy let go and said "What happene-" Zeus clamped his lips and said "You have a thing going on right now." Luffy turned to the others and said "Oh yeah! I refuse. I don't want to command anybody, I just want to be the Pirate King!"

Zeus choked and the 7 tilted their heads at Luffy before saying "Whatever, we're going to follow you anyway." Zeus shouted "Hold on! We're missing one more!" everyone was confused and Zeus looked at the crew and winked before shouting "Scar! Killer!"

Suddenly

The sea next to the Yonta Maria bubbled up and a ship surfaced. The flag had a Dugong face with a Straw Hat on it's head with a sword and a lightning bolt behind the head. Zeus chuckled and said "Let me introduce you to the Dugong division of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

The other 7 captains were startled and Scar jumped from the deck and used Geppo in the air before landing on the Yonta Maria, next to the other 7. Zeus whistled and a red cup fell from the sky, landing right in front of Scar.

Zeus snapped his fingers and the Sake bottle poured itself.

Everybody was still stunned to see the Dugongs and their ship. Zeus sat down and crossed one leg while letting the other one loose, he rested his elbow on his crossed knee and his head in his hand. Persephone jumped from the leaned shoulder onto his head and laid down to watch.

Bonney uncovered her eyes and watched as all 8 of them drank their son's cups. Zoro grinned and drank from the Father cup before saying "Good Sake!" Zeus smiled and Luffy said "You don't need to follow me! I just want to be the freest person on the seas! If you have a problem call me, and we'll come help you right away!"

The 8 smiled and cheered "Party!" Zeus grinned before he was dragged down by the crew to a table.

They surrounded him and grinned viciously as they said "So you were alive the whole time huh?" Zeus started to sweat and stammered to say anything. Robin touched her chin and said "Seems like I was right. You were following us again." Usopp nodded and said "I knew you looked familiar on Sabaody!"

Luffy punched his palm and said "IT WAS YOU ON RUSUKAINA!" Franky grinned and his arms turned black as he said "You took away Pink!" Zoro didn't say anything but he had a demonic grin on his face.

Zeus was really sweating now, suddenly a bunch of gladiators and Cavendish scrambled up and offered drinks to Zeus saying "Master please drink with us!" the crew was startled and Zeus found an escape, he said "Of course my disciples! Let's go!"

Zeus grabbed Cavendish and ran away, the gladiators following him and the crew stunned over the events. When they recovered they looked at each other with wry smiles before going to find Zeus.

When they found him, his face had a blush running across it and he was lecturing the gladiators and Cavendish "To be so handsome, it takes a lot of hard work and training! When I was younger I wasn't as handsome as even some of you!" Zeus held his fist up and said with emotion "Now, with effort and a constant grind, I've become the handsome man you see today!"

The gladiators and Cavendish were in awe, Zeus put one foot on the chair and drained his whole mug before smashing it on the ground and saying mightily "With unmatched charisma!"

The disciples cheered "In all the seas!"

Zeus shouted louder with a fist in the air "With the most perfect looks!"

The disciples cheered louder "In all the lands!"

Zeus screamed and spread his arms out "In all worlds!"

The disciples threw their hands up and screamed "I'M INVINCIBLE!"

Zeus cheered and picked up another mug before saying "SEARCHING NEAR AND FAR!"

The disciples and now Luffy raised their glasses and finished "UNABLE TO FIND AN OPPONENT! HOORAHHH"

Zeus and the disciples all drained their mugs and threw them on the ground cheering and laughing.

The crew watched this and felt their legs go soft. Robin slapped her forehead and said "He hasn't changed at all..." the looked and noticed Luffy already joined in on the cheering and laughing. The rest of the crew felt black lines appear on their foreheads.

A voice came over and said "He's always like this." the crew looked over and saw Bonney and Persephone eating and drinking, watching Zeus parade himself along with his disciples.

Robin said "You are?" Bonney raised her left hand and flashed a diamond ring, stunning the crew and getting a bitter look from Persephone, who drank and looked at Zeus instead. The crew stumbled over and looked at the ring in shock, then looked at Zeus, who currently had his arms around Luffy and Cavendish's shoulders and doing a dance.

Needless to say, they were unable to put the two pictures together.

Robin said "It's beautiful! Congratulations!" Bonney smiled sweetly and said "Thank you." It really was, Zeus contacted Crocodile to get him the best pink diamond and purest gold he could find before making it himself. It was a solid gold ring and Zeus had cut the diamond himself into the shape of a phoenix, the shape of the gold ring was a dragon and the head and tail were keeping the Phoenix diamond in place.

The gold didn't take too much time with Zeus' control over his lightning but the diamond was extremely tough, he spent a few nights making it while Bonney was asleep. He finally gave it to her last night before they spent the night together.

Persephone was a bit irk'd when she found out but not too much. For her, just being with him was good enough. She smiled warmly as she watched him fool around, she was happy, he was happy everything was fine. She rested her chin on her palm and watched him as something more than like developed in her eyes and memories resurfaced.

This was the man that saved her from hell gave her a place to belong and accepted her into his family. She couldn't move on to someone else even if she tried, it was too much. His shadow had already been firmly engraved into her heart without him having to do anything. Even if he heartlessly rejected her she wouldn't find someone else and just live alone.

a memory she didn't even know she had resurfaced suddenly.

Persephone was just a child but she had strange clothes on. She heard the words "Put your snowsuit on Honey, were going to be late!" Persephone scrambled to but her show suit on before grabbing a sled and running after a woman, the woman turned around and smiled warmly and giggling "Persephone honey, you have your mittens on the wrong hands. Come let mommy fix you up."

Persephone's mother switched her mittens around and scratched her nose saying "Silly girl, excited for the park?" Persephone nodded excitedly and said "I'm going to ride my sled super fast!" Persephone's mother patted Persephone's head and said "Okay honey let's go."

She brought Persephone to a strange machine with wheels, she opened the door and Persephone climbed in, clutching the sled, that was bigger than her, tight.

After a while

Persephone and her mother arrived at the park and Persephone hopped out of the car and ran to the hill excitedly. Persephone's mother sighed and said "Persephone honey, wait for mommy." Persephone stopped and pouted "Mommy's too slow~"

Persephone's mother tapped her forehead and said "I'll have you know, your mother is the fastest mother out there!" Persephone giggled and spat out her tongue saying "Mommy's a big liar!" Persephone's mother giggled and brought Persephone to the hill top.

Persephone said seriously "Mommy, I want to go alone." Persephone's mother sighed and held her heart saying "My baby is growing up so fast! Mommy's sad!" Persephone patted her chest and said "Don't worry Mommy! I'll protect you from the bad guys!"

Persephone's mother laughed and rubbed Persephone's head, messing up her hair, much to Persephone's annoyance. Persephone patted her hair and mumbled "Bad mommy.." Persephone's mother pinched her cheeks and said "Go have fun sweetheart, bad mommy is going to watch."

Persephone blushed, obviously she had been heard! Persephone turned to go sledding but there was a boy in front of her. Persephone pointed and said "Hey! I was going to sled there!"

The boy turned around and said "Huh?" The boy strangely resembled Zeus, before he got hit by the truck.

The boy harrumphed and said "You can sled somewhere else!" Persephone got angry and said "But I want to sled here!" The boy spit out his tongue and said "Sometimes you don't get what you want." his eyes flashed with sadness before he turned around and ignored Persephone.

Persephone snorted and planted her sled right next to his and lifted her chin in the air, purposely making an effort to show him how much she was ignoring him. She pushed off and the boy pushed off too, their hands touched and Persephone turned red before taking her hand back.

Their sleds went down the hill but Persephone's sled hit a bump of ice and veered towards a tree. The boy looked over and saw the tree, Persephone saw the tree and was stunned, completely frozen.

The boy pushed his hand into the snow and veered towards her, Persephone was about to crash into the tree and closed her eyes. She felt something hit her hard in the side and she flew off the sled and landed in the snow.

When Persephone opened her eyes she saw the boy's face. He looked anxious and he said "Are you okay?!" Persephone nodded dumbly and was silent, obviously this boy must be a super hero and saved herself! Persephone's cheeks reddened and her thoughts were a mess 'Is he super man in disguise?' 'What if he wants to get married? Should I say yes?'

The boy said quickly "Are you okay? You're all red!" Persephone was brought back to reality and nodded softly saying "En." The boy let of a sigh of relief and sat down, his heart was still beating fast in his chest.

The boy stood up and helped Persephone up saying "Um your sled is broken." Persephone didn't say anything and looked at her hand that the boy was holding. Her mind spun 'He's holding my hand! Am I gonna get pregnant now?!'

The boy brought her to his plastic sled and said "We can ride mine if you want." Persephone just nodded absentmindedly and the boy smiled before bring his sled in one hand and holding Persephone's in the other.

He positioned his sled on the hill and sat Persephone down before sitting behind her and pushing off. They slid down the hill and got off. The boy looked at Persephone and said "Do you want to go again?" Persephone nodded gently with a small smile and the boy smiled before grabbing her hand and was about to walk back up when a voice sounded "Persephone, Honey! Are you okay?!"

Persephone and the boy looked up to see Persephone's mother, she crouched down and checked Persephone for any injuries before sighing in relief and saying "Let's go home honey, we'll come back another day with your father, okay?"

Persephone struggled and said "But.." she looked at the boy, who let go of her hand and stood off to the side. Persephone's mother looked over and smiled "You made a new friend?" Persephone nodded and said "He s-"

The boy bowed and said "Hello." Persephone's mother smiled and said "Aren't you just the cutest! Where's your parents? Maybe we could have a play date."

Zeus' eye flashed with fear and an angry voice called out "Where's that little bastard!" Zeus trembled and said "Here!" before running towards a man, who was smoking a cigarette in an expensive suit.

Persephone said "Wait! What's your name!" The boy stopped and turned around saying "Zeus." before continuing, Persephone firmly engraved the name in her heart, this was her super hero's real name!

Persephone's mother held her hand and brought her away, Persephone looked over her shoulder at Zeus one more time. She was stunned by what she saw.

Zeus stood in front of a man and said "Sorry for being late." the man slapped Zeus to the ground and said "You remember what happens when you're late?" Zeus slowly stood up and said "I waste your time."

The man slapped him again and grabbed the back of his coat before dragging him to the car saying "Exactly. I don't like wasting time. You're late one more time and I'll send you to an orphanage, do you believe it?"

Zeus nodded and said weakly "I believe it."

Persephone heard everything and it was seared into her brain as she left with her mother in a daze.

"Persephone."

"Persephone!"

Persephone woke up from her daze and looked around, she turned her head and saw Bonney looking at her before saying "Are you okay?" Persephone was confused and said "Yeah, why?" Bonney said "You're crying."

Persephone wiped her eyes and said "I am? Weird.." Bonney shook her head and introduced the crew, minus Luffy, to her. Persephone smiled and introduced herself, the crew and the two girls shared stories about Zeus and started laughing, completely moving on from the strangeness.

Persephone mixed in well with Luffy's crew and talked with them a lot but at the back of her mind, she was confused and scared. Who's memories were those, where was it? Who was the boy and why is his name the same as Zeus?
