Twin Soul

There are many universes. Each universe contained countless realms. Each realm contained several planets. Some planets have different races of humans containing different skin and hair colors, different magical creatures, or different types of Demi-Humans. Some planets specialized in martial arts training while other planets specialized in magic spells casting. In the World of Toria Continents, where all humans have blonde hair. Magic casters and Demi-Humans exist. Only one in every ten thousand people was born with an Elemental Soul, which helped them to be able to learn and cast magic spells. There are Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Wind, Angelic, Demonic, and Conjurer Souls. One in every million people is born with a Twin Soul that allows them to learn Blood Magic and another type of magic of their choice, whether it is Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Wind, Light, Black, or Conjuration Magic. However, the magic casters born with Twin Soul were forced to train Blood Magic if they wanted to level up in other Elemental Magic as well. Blood Magic required human blood for training. Animals' blood, magical creatures' blood, or the blood of Demi-humans can't be used. Toria Continents were once greatly suffered under an evil level 100 Saint-tier magic caster that used Blood and Fire Magics. The evil Saint-tier Blood Mage was defeated after a deadly battle between her and another two thousand Saint-tier magic casters. Over eighteen hundred Saint-tier Mages were lost in this battle but they later found out that they didn't actually defeat that Blood Mage because she somehow revived herself after being killed. The history book was written that evil Saint Blood Mage can create two extra versions of herself. As two versions were killed in the battle, the third version escaped and later revived the other two versions.

Chapter 4 (6/8)

At this time, a male magic caster wearing a black robe approached them and said, "Drew Kreel and Margry Cromdor, what brings you here? Isn't that Kain Almos? Kain, I am looking for you."

"Our High Priest would like to speak with... Kain Almos? We-"

"Alright, y'all can leave."

"Executioner Bodwyn, we have-"

"This is the official business of the Mages Council. Tell your High Priest to back off, or else."

"Executioner? Screw me... maybe I should go with the soldiers." Kain thought to himself.

Executioners are powerful magic casters who work for the Mages Council. Most of them are Legend-tier magic casters. They do have some powerful Saint-tiers in their division. Their only objective is to hunt and kill the 'bad' mages. Magic casters went rouge and disobeyed Mages Council's laws will be treated the same as Blood Mages. In another way to put this, they will be killed on sight without any kind of fair trial.

"We just wanted to say we have made a mistake. We are waiting for Arthur Castillon, not Kain Almos. We apologized for this mistake."

"Haha, no problem. Carry on then."

"Ah shit. Now I'm truly f**ked." Kain thought to himself.

David Bodwyn, level 50 Legend Black Mage. David was born in the year 414,938 of the 48th calendar. He is eight hundred ninety (890) years old now and has been serving the Mages Council for the past eight hundred twenty (820) years. David had tried many times but could not break through level 50 to advance into Saint-tier. However, he is still young. There are another eleven hundred years left in his life. David could feel his power is peaking at the maximum stage and will surely break through within the next three hundred years.

Advancing into Saint-tier in magic casting is very hard and not all Legend Mages can break through the barriers of level 50 to become level 51. While Legend Mages and tenth-tier warriors can live up to two thousand years old, Saint Mages and Saint Warriors are ageless and could live for eternity. Achieving Saint-tier isn't just a goal, but the ultimate dream of all beings in the lower realms.

Kain followed David like a puppy following its mother. All Mages, students or graduates, are under the command of the Mages Council. Kain had no reason to refuse not to follow David and dared not to. David Bodwyn is either on par if not stronger compared to Master Whistler. The last time Kain checked, Andrella Whistler was still at level 45. However, if Andrella uses Blood Magic combined with Light Magic, even three of David Bodwyn won't be able to stand a chance of survival fighting with her.

Kain followed David into the Mages Council's temple. They passed through three hallways and entered a dark alley where no one was nearby. David said, "I have been watching your battles today. Being a Blood Mage sure has an advantage, isn't it?"

"Hmm...? Executioner Bodwyn, I don't think I understand."

"It's okay, I'm also a Blood Mage."

Until exposed as a Blood Mage, Kain had all basic rights just like any other magic caster have. These basic rights will protect him from the Executioners for unreasonable searches, illegally detained, or execution without a fair trial.

"Are you really a Blood Mage? Why didn't you use the code words to verify yourself? Thinking you can trick me? You are a stupid idiot." Kain thought to himself.

Kain laughed and said, "Executioner Bodwyn, if you are investigating me, then you are wasting your time."

"Is that so? A level 25 Conjurer Mage defeated a level 30 Light Mage, a level 27 Fire Mage, and another level 30 Conjurer Mage. Interesting..."

"The weaklings in my matches today have lost because they were careless. Except for Eoran Elian, he put all his efforts into the fight and truly earned my respect. Are we done now? If yes, allow me to excuse myself."

"Kain, if you continue to lie then it will be too late. Hand me the Blood Pendant so I can hide it for you before the others find it."

"Executioner Bodwyn, you are starting to piss me off. I will excuse myself now! Farewell."

Kain walked away but was quickly held back by David. "My apology. I was just making sure. Kain, the Lord of Gray is waiting. You don't want to upset him, do you?"

There are two powerful groups under the command of the Mages Council, Colors and Executioners. Only seven colors are Purple, Red, Black, Brown, White, Blue, and Gray.

Gray is the color that stands for the Conjurer Mages Division. The Lord of Gray is the strongest Conjurer of the Mages Council. Kain had learned about the background of this leader. His name is Noe Clerico. He had lived for calendars (millions of years). One of the history books described Noe as a level 100 Conjurer Mage, the highest level of the Saint-tier. If Noe breakthroughs to the barriers of level 100, he will become a God and travel to the higher realms.

Kain did not want to anger someone like that. Especially not when he was still weak and played the role of Kain Almos. Kain scratched his head and said, "I sure don't. Executioner Bodwyn, please lead the way."

Kain reacted the way that he should have done. David nodded in agreement and continued leading Kain toward the assigned room. David explained to Kain that he will have to wait until Noe is ready to see him.

"A..hole, I thought you said he was waiting for me." Kain thought to himself while saying, "My pleasure."

Kain sat on a chair for ten minutes. He saw the bed nearby and decided to take a quick nap. Three hours later, a maid came in and woke him up. Kain opened his eyes, saw the maid, and asked, "Is Mr. Clerico ready to see me?"

"Yes, but first you will have to take a shower. I have prepared new clothes for you."

Kain looked around and found the shower room nearby. He nodded and said, "Thank you. You may leave."

"I was assigned to bathe you. Please take off your clothes."

"No need, leave."

Kain was not shy, he just did not want anyone to see his Blood Pendant.

"How many ways to avoid death? Yet no salvation comes to Blood Mages."

"You?"

"Yes, I will hide your Blood Pendant and return it to Rogal Caligarus. Take off your clothes now and let me bathe you."

Kain was suspicious at first but after the maid named Rogal Caligarus was the owner of the Blood Pendant, he had no other reason to not believe. Kain quickly undressed and gave the Blood Pendant to the maid and allowed her to bathe him.

Kain thought that the Blood Mage went undercover in the Mages Council and possessed some kind of title that could protect him in the long term. He was so wrong, she was just a maid.

The maid was bathing Kain but then suddenly David opened the door and rushed in. The maid quickly sprinted to David's location and handed him the Blood Pendant.

David laughed and said, "I got you, Blood Mage."
