12 Chapter 12 - I Have Never Felt So Angry...!
They kept pulling on her clothes and touching her as they surrounded her. The girl was clearly trying to run out of there and cover her body parts, but they continued to follow and lead her out of Ethan's sight.
"I'm going to the bathroom, and I'll be right back. If you want to ask for anything else, you can ask. I'll be right back!". Enid said, getting up from her chair and walking to the bathroom.
Ethan waited for his mother to be a little further away and quickly got up, leaving the cafeteria.
As he stepped out of the restaurant, due to the darkness of the night, he felt his speed increase, running faster than he normally ran. Ethan ran across the street and as he approached the group, he realized he knew the girl.
- Jessica! JESSICA! - He thought, widening his eyes and accelerating speed.
He got close to the girl and pulled her by the arm, behind his body, while with the other hand, he pushed the guys away.
"Ethan?" Jessica said, startled.
The girl's hands were shaking, she seemed to be terrified of the situation.
"Get the fuck out of here!" Ethan yelled, pissed off at the guys trying to molest the girl.
They looked to be at least 20 years old. They were tall and fat, but still had a height difference between the two. If they wanted to, they could kill Ethan with just one punch.
"Oh, what was it? Don't want to join us? The little bitch puts up with all of us." One of them, the shorter one, said laughing, touching Jessica's hair, who had tears in her eyes and was hiding behind Ethan.
"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what I said? Go away!". Ethan pushed the guy's hand away, making him angry.
"How it is?". The guy responded indignantly.
"Who do you think you're talking to, man?" The taller guy walked up to Ethan, puffing out his chest. "Do you want to be beaten too, fagot?".
"Ethan, just let's go, please!" Jessica said in a shaky voice, squeezing Ethan's arm tightly.
"Fuck off, you piece of shit!" Ethan said, raising his voice.
Then, the shorter guy raised his hand to punch Ethan in the face, who quickly grabbed the guy's hand, stopping him, but before he could do anything, the taller guy hit him with a punch in the eye, leaving him without strength.
"ETHAN!" Jessica screamed, pulling away in fright as she saw him closing his eyes in pain.
Ethan felt his head go dizzy and his vision blur as he felt uncontrolled rage take over his body.
The other shorter guy took the hand Ethan was holding and pushed him to the ground, causing Ethan to just dismount, still stunned from the punch.
The two big guys started kicking Ethan to the ground, who put his arm around his head to protect himself. With each kick he took, he felt the anger rising in his body, as if it were the sensation of energy, but it was different. It was hot and went up like shocks through the whole body.
Jessica, desperate, threw herself on the ground, on top of Ethan's body, trying to protect him from the guys' kicks.
"Please stop, please!" Jessica said, while crying and hugging Ethan's body tightly.
Seeing this, they looked at each other and, realizing that Ethan wasn't going to get up anymore, they grabbed Jessica by the arm, hard, and pushed her from side to side. One of them held the girl's arms tightly behind her, so the other could touch her, in front of Ethan.
Jessica was crying desperately and trying to move, very afraid of what was happening.
When he saw that, Ethan felt his body shudder, as if he was fully charged. The anger he felt at that completely freaked him out.
He got up with difficulty, but still fast and started walking quickly towards the guys, like an enraged bull. He got close enough to push one of the guys with his arms far enough away from Jessica while the other still held her.
The guy turned to Ethan, extremely annoyed, and when he turned to punch him in the face again, he ended up looking into Ethan's eyes, which were glowing a bright red.
The guy crashed. He couldn't move as he stared at Ethan. The guy turned white with fear and felt his own body shudder. He felt an inexplicable sense of fear. It felt like Ethan had gotten inside the guy's mind.
The other, who was still holding Jessica, turned to his friend and asked, confused:
"What's up? What's wrong with you?".
The guy Ethan was staring at started slowly backing away, unable to speak without stuttering, and said:
"Bro, let's just get out of here, now, man!".
"What are you talking about, bro?". The other guy asked confused.
"FUCK, LET'S JUST GET OUT OF HERE." He shouted, pulling his friend by the arm and accelerating the pace, leaving close to the two.
A few short seconds later, Ethan took two dazed steps back as he put a hand to his head. A strong pain dominated his head and he could hardly see anything.
"Are you okay? What was that?". Jessica hugged Ethan, trying to keep him from falling to the floor.
She then lifted his head and tried to wipe Ethan's face, which was bloody from the punch, with a napkin she had kept in her pocket.
"Why are you here alone, Jessica? Crap!". Ethan said irritably. "Didn't you say you were going out with your friends? Why are you alone? He completed, irritated.
"I…I'm sorry, Ethan. I went out with them, but I said I didn't need a ride, that I was going back alone to…". Before she could finish speaking, Ethan hugged her tightly, placing the girl's head on his chest.
"You are an idiot". He said, frustrated.
"Ethan, what the fuck is going on?". Ethan's mother appears desperate. "I go to the bathroom for 5 minutes and you disappear? What's going on with you?" she says, enraged.
"Ms. Coleman!" Jessica says, pulling away from Ethan.
Ethan held his napkin to his forehead and said,
"Mom, don't worry. I just…".
"Oh my god, Ethan, you're bleeding!". Enid said, pulling his head closer to her face. "Not worry? Did you get it?".
"Sorry, Mrs. Coleman! I was on my way home and some guys started following me. Ethan was just protecting me. It was my fault!". Jessica said shyly as she held her hands in front of her.
"Some guys? Are you well?". Enid asked, worrying about Jessica. "Look, it's late. I'll drop you off at home, but tomorrow I want you to go with Ethan to the police station to talk about what happened, okay?" She completed, seriously.
"Okay, Mrs. Coleman!" Jessica replied, ducking her head.
