Chapter 6

Waking up the next morning, I feel full of energy, and I sense my soul much stronger, as well as my body.

After absorbing so many souls and sins, it's clear that I would become more powerful. As I'm about to get out of bed, I notice a letter on top of the dresser.

Approaching the letter and reading it, I see that it was written by Mephisto, and its contents leave me in shock.

[Hey, friend,

I'm writing this...

I've never written a damn letter before, so feel honored that I'm writing this crap. Can you imagine? One of the kings of Hell sending a damn letter!

Anyway, considering your recent victory over your past, I started thinking about how I could help you rise even faster, and that's when a brilliant idea came to my beautiful and precious mind!

I'm handsome, you piece of crap!

During the war, I got lucky and obtained a bit of Lucifer's blood essence!

Then I remembered the power I granted you, perfect adaptability! Just imagine if you were to combine that with it. What changes would occur in you?

Of course, it's something very powerful, so there's no reason to hand it over now. This is just a warning for you to try to get stronger and fully master your powers.

I'm looking forward to seeing what changes may occur with the union of the Spirit of Vengeance and the blood of an archangel...

Devil's Smile -

End]

If he's not going to give it to me now, why the hell did he send this letter? Just to make me anxious about it? Pffft. I'm already strong...

But I must admit I'm quite intrigued by the result I'll have when I do it. Will I get wings? I've always wanted to have wings.

Setting fire to the letter, I go downstairs with Sirius by my side to have a cup of coffee before I start or finish packing my things. There are only 3 suitcases, one of them is quite large, just for my jackets... Did I mention there are a lot of them? I'm glad I don't have to go and buy more, and even happier that all of them suit my taste.

I've always been terrible at choosing clothes because I'm very picky. I've spent 1 hour in a store just to choose two shirts...

Having a good cup of coffee and checking the time on my phone, it's 9 in the morning. Uncle Charlie said Isabella arrives in the afternoon, so I have some time until then.

And since today is moving day, I won't go for a run or swim. I slap my forehead as I remember that my grandparents' pool hasn't been used for a long time and must be very dirty.

Finding Uncle Charlie's recorded number, I make a call to him.

He answers, "Good morning Damian, why did you call so early? Is something wrong?" he speaks with concern.

I reply, "It's all right, Uncle Charlie, and it's not that early now. I called because I remembered that the pool at my grandparents' house hasn't been used in a while. So I wanted to ask for your help to find someone to clean it."

He lets out a sigh of relief and responds, "No need to worry about that, I already knew about your morning activities, and I remembered that you've always loved swimming since you were a child. So I asked a friend to clean it this week."

I express my gratitude, "Thank you, Uncle Charlie," and then I tease, "Are you anxious to see Bella today? What a silly question, you must already be sweating just thinking about what to do when she arrives." I speak provocatively.

Charlie chuckles, "Haha, it's not funny, Damian... you know I haven't seen her in a long time. I don't know how to act and if I am or can be a good father," he sighs at the end.

I quickly reassure him, "Uncle Charlie, during the time I was in the hospital, you were a great uncle. If you can be at least 50% of what you were during that time, I do not doubt that everything will be fine."

He thanks me, and after some more conversation, he talks about school: "Everything has been sorted out, and considering everything that happened, they asked you to stay one more week at home before starting to go back to school."

I ponder for a moment and say, "It doesn't need to be that long, I don't want to spend the whole week with nothing to do. How about I start on Wednesday? I think that's enough time for me to prepare well to go back to school."

Charlie responds, "Alright, I'll call the principal and sort it out with him."

After saying goodbye to him, I start packing my things into the suitcase, making sure not to forget the photo albums of my family.

I also clean everything and check if the house is securely closed in all places, like the windows of each room and the basement.

I'll come back here every month to tidy up the place; I don't want this house to be... like a haunted house. Being haunted by memories is more than enough.

Like, for example, at the corner of the kitchen wall, the place where my parents made marks of my growth.

Or the drawing frames, which my mother loved to do on weekends as a family leisure activity.

Drying my eyes, which were getting teary, I start putting the suitcases in the trunk of the Charger.

Now, all that's left is to take a shower, have lunch, and head to the airport to wait for Uncle Charlie and Bella.

Time Jump -

After taking a shower and preparing a good cup of milk coffee, which I pour into a thermos to drink during the trip, and of course, I made tea with milk for Bella... well, actually, I bought it ready-made.

Doing the final checks in the house to make sure I haven't forgotten anything, and looking in each room to make sure everything is closed.

Since the car is already parked outside the house, and the garage is securely locked, I walk out the front door with Sirius by my side.

If it were someone else, they would surely be saying goodbye to friends and neighbors with good relationships... but I never had friends before college in my previous life, and it was the same here.

Mainly because I studied at home until the age of 12; my father preferred this type of education as he feared I might learn from the wrong people.

The only friend I had in this life was Bella and some of the wolves...

I wonder if we will still be friends if I turn out to be the soulmate of a vampire or if I choose to stay by Bella's side even without any vampire soulmate.

Turning on the car and playing some good classical music as always, I can't help but talk to Sirius: "The best thing about this car is that I don't need to pay for gasoline."

He barks in agreement, and I can imagine what he said, 'I hated it when we went to refuel that thing you called a car. I would smell like gasoline for days, and I even missed the chance to impress a good female.'

Laughing at that, I step on the accelerator. I had a Chevrolet pickup that belonged to my grandfather, and I never thought of buying another car since it held all the good memories I ever had.

My phone starts ringing, and it's Uncle Charlie.

Answering, I say, "Hi, Uncle, I'm already on my way to the airport."

Uncle Charlie replies, "Can you pick up Bella for me? I won't be able to go; a serious case happened last night, and I was called to help. I can't stay on the phone much, so I'll hang up. I'll be home before dinner, could you keep Bella until then? I have a gift for her."

I respond, "Of course, Uncle Charlie, no problem at all. See you later!"

He responds with an apologetic tone, "I'm sorry for telling you at the last minute like this. Right after our morning call, I received this call, and I forgot to call you."

I reassure him, "It's alright, Uncle, it's not a problem."

And then he hangs up the phone. I wonder why they called him.

Ah! I forgot that their hideout was in the direction of Forks, maybe that's why they called him. Even though it's still quite far from there...

Even though it's still far away from there, maybe they called him because he's the boss, and they must be having a meeting for some announcement about it.

Accelerating towards the airport, I quickly arrive there, and after finding the car at the spot Uncle Charlie had already arranged to meet Bella, I start waiting.

I must say, all this attention is a bit uncomfortable—me being an incredibly handsome guy, like a Greek god, and with a dog that looks like a bear by my side—it draws a lot of attention.

My appearance alone is enough to dazzle any woman present, not that it's a problem; it's quite nice to receive so much attention.

Before long, I see a girl of medium height, not tall nor short, with very beautiful brown hair, expressive brown eyes, and pale and fair skin, which is one of the marks of our families.

I wave to her, and when she notices me, her eyes light up, and she hastens her steps toward me.

Bella: "Damian!!!"

Today's chapter, tell me where it can improve!

I was going to put a lot more words... I was going to have 3k words, but I left the rest for tomorrow in the next chapter :V

for those who want to know, yes, I'm thinking of making other worlds, this fanfic might have elements of other worlds, and it might have mcu... haven't decided yet.

And I decide to Leah with Jasper, I must say it will be interesting.

for those who don't know, the wolves in Twilight are 'immortal' as long as they keep transforming, as they usually have to imprint with humans, they stop transforming as time goes by. so it's not a problem, and don't forget that mc may end up becoming a king in the future... maybe the Cullen will stop being a vampire and become something else.

and about the thing with a part of Lucifer, it was something already in my plans, but I forgot to put it in the first chapter lmao so not to make you go back there to see it again, I put it now.

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
