(Bella POV)
She was nervous, nervous but excited, there was a bunch of bubbles or something akin to the same thing in her stomach as she started up her 'new' truck, she was starting her new school today. Although it was awkward seeing her dad when she first arrived she eventually got over it, she knew it was just his personality in a new situation, she was the same way after all so she could relate.
She released a breath as she pulled up to the school ten minutes later, as her car backfired she cringed some noticing even more stares then before falling on her, it was embarrassing. With what little confidence she had she got it grabbing her backpack and stepping out, the amount of people staring at her seemed to increase as she walked across the parking lot.
'This is going to be a long day.' she thought to herself as Eric introduced himself, which was a lot.

Scanning the cafeteria she spotted Mike and the rest and joined them as they gave her no choice really, besides Angela the rest all seemed to want to know every little aspect of her life. While she was flattered she was also getting kind of annoyed, yes she was the new girl but they needed to let her settle in some.
As she thought that her eyes caught the door to the side opening up letting in a group of beautiful students, "Who are they?" She asked her curiosity getting the best of her.
They all followed her line of sight but it was Jessica who spoke first, "Oh those are the Cullens, Dr. And Mrs. Cullens adoptive children, they are like together together." She stated before pointing them out, "The two in front are Emmett and Edythe the first couple, they are nice enough but we don't really talk much. After them are Alice who is basically a pixie, plus she has the greatest wardrobe like ever, I really want to see her closet.
Her boyfriend is Jasper the one who looks like he is in pain, I heard from Ryan that her just has real bad headaches sometimes."
Bella followed her every word but her eyes were drawn back to the door as three last people walked in, "And them?" Her eyes kept switching between the brooding brunette who looked permanently annoyed and the blonde who honestly looked high out his mind a goofy smile in his face.
Jessica seemed to perk up some earning amused looks from Angela while the guys at the table grumbled, all of them, "Well the girl is Rosalie, obviously very beautiful but she is kind of cold to everyone, and yes I mean everyone. Most people don't ever even hear her voice, but she has her moments.
Walking in front of her is her brother Edward, the brooding one, handsome but obviously nobody here is good enough for him."
Bella looked to the named Edward and watched him a moment, he took his seat and their eyes met, she blinked then looked back over to the blonde who wasn't introduced, "What about the goofy smile one, you didn't say who he was."
Jessica's smile went dreamy and a longing look went on her face, Bella didn't say anything but she knew the girl harbored some form of affection for the guy, "That's Ryan Robins, star of the basketball team," that got some discontentment from the other guys, "Pothead and all around hunk. He moved here last year and has been the most sought after guy since. Though I was sad to hear that his parents just divorced, I really wanted to go and comfort him...."
Bella smiled slightly as Jessica went off in a rant, she only half listened as most of it was basically the girl worshipping the guy, she looked over to Ryan and saw him digging into a share sized bag of chips. She watched his every movement and could see that even if he was eating like a pig it was graceful, as if feeling her eyes he looked up right at her.
Bela felt her breath rush out of her as she looked at his hypnotizing red eyes, she couldn't look away at all, he titled his head to the side and she looked away. She could feel the blush that was covering her cheeks, while in that state she missed the curious looks she was getting from Edward who was staring hard at her.
"What Jessica is trying to say is that Ryan is the silent type, well he was until the Cullens arrived." Angela said bringing her back to the conversation at the table.
"Isn't that what I said?" Jessica said and Bella could see that she was genuinely confused as if she hadn't said that.
It got a laugh from Angela, "No Jess you didn't, you spoke about everything but that."
"Oh, well overall you should just know he is amazing." Jessica said brightly.
"You seem to really like him, why haven't you tried going out with him?" Bella asked curious.
This seemed to deflate Jessica some as she sunk down some, "I wish I could, he is dating someone else though, and I could swear that he is also interested in Rosalie too, I mean come on look at them."
Bella followed her and Angela's line of sight and saw what she was talking about, at the moment Rosalie had wiggled into his arms as he was still eating his chips, she had her head rested against his chest, "They....aren't together?" Bella's asked confused.
Jessica shook her head, "I know right, you would assume they were with the way they are all against one another like that, but noo. He is dating a girl named Leah, she is, damn I hate to say it but, Leah is also very beautiful."
"I just think he is collecting beautiful girls to be honest." Angela said with a chuckle.
Jessica nodded agreeing, "Could be since he has all of them fawning for him."
Bella watched the interactions between Rosalie and Ryan, she completely missed Edwards stares, she was so caught up watching them that she missed lunch too as she had her eyes glued to him the entire time. She didn't even look away when he seemed to look back over at her either.

(Ryan POV)
"She is staring hard." Rosalie said bluntly from where she lay on his chest.
Ryan chuckled, "Yeah she is. Not even blushing anymore when I look over at her either, and can hold eye contact."
He noticed Rosalie also look over at her, "Looks like you have another admirer."
Ryan didn't say anything to that, he could see Edward watching her, he also knew that if nothing was changed to much then what it already was they would be sitting next to each other by their last class. So her attention might fully be shifted to him when he acts weird, at the moment Ryan was wondering a lot of different things.
Like when New Moon happened and it was Bella's birthday, wasn't Jasper attacking mainly all Edwards fault?
Like honestly she was his blood singer, making it where more then anyone he craved her blood, and seeing the frenzy that Jasper worked up into wasn't it his fault as his desire was projected to him. Rosalie and Carlisle had the best control when it came to blood, so they shouldn't have been the cause of a lot of bloodlust, but Edward should have been dying to drink her.
That combined with him already knowing the taste from when he helped her with the venom, then it was more then enough that he pushed Jaspers emotions more then anyone else.
This also made him look at Alice funny, because shouldn't she have seen everything that was going to happen at the baseball game?
She had seen James along with his coven coming to them, shouldn't she have been able to see him wanting to hunt her too when he caught a whiff of Bella's scent, there was no way she couldn't have. That would have been something that James decided the moment he caught the scent, there would have been no way to avoid it in the vision.
"What's wrong?" Rosalie asked having caught the look on his face.
Ryan hummed, "Nothing. Just thinking."
He wasn't about to tell her that he was suspecting that Alice might have set up Bella being hunted, while Edward basically setting Bella up to have to turn into a vampire as he was most likely doing everything on purpose. He sighed as he once again got back into the mind set that he shouldn't be around the Cullens, the more he thought it over they seemed like bad news.
Feeling slightly uncomfortable he motioned for Rosalie to get off of him, sending her a smile that wasn't a smile he walked off, he needed to get high to get his thoughts in order. As he took out a blunt to smoke Leah called him, "Hey shortstack."
"What's wrong?" She said quickly into the phone making him raise a brow.
"What do you mean?" He asked but internally he was surprised that she could detect something in his tone. He had hid it well.
"Don't play dumb, your my best friend, and despite you trying to hide it from me I have always been able to hear that tone you hide." She stated confidently.
Ryan chuckled there was a fond smile on his face, "Well it is nothing serious to worry about, just thinking about colleges. I have applied to basically all of them."
He couldn't tell her about what he was really thinking, being reborn as he was he had to carry the burden of knowing what was to come, this was something he wouldn't tell anyone else.
"Oh, yeah I have sent mine in. I need a way to thank you though for that help with studying for the S.A.T and A.C.T." she said her voice taking on a flirtatious hue to it.
Ryan chuckled, "That was all you shortstack."
Ryan was proud of her, she had gotten a 1450 on the SAT and a 22 on the ACT, that allowed her to apply to colleges that she wouldn't even think of before, she was in the top 15% when it came to test takers. There was no need to talk about his own, he had only missed one question on both test, which he did as a joke as he wasn't taking them seriously at all.
They talked some.mkre as he got higher and higher, finally the bell rang for lunch to be over, Ryan saw Rosalie look at him before he walked off to her next class seeing that he wouldn't be joining her. Ryan felt like a dick for it, but at the same time his intrusive thoughts had gotten him to question a lot of things.
Like for one, Would he be in the same boat if not for the system and his knowledge.
Because without the two Rosalie saw him as a mate, who was to say that she didn't draw him in the same way that Bella was drawn in by Edward, what would have happened to his life then?
Shaking the thought off he walked down the halls taking his time getting to basketball, they were just watching game footage again so he didn't need to rush there for practice. Turning the corner he was just going with the motions, which is why he didn't notice the person who was sharply turning the corner.
Their bodies collided and Ryan stood tall as the other person fell to the ground, looking down he raised a brow as he saw that it was Bella who was at the moment picking up the paper she had dropped. Was this the meet-cute thing that happened in movies and TV shows?
"Sorry." He offered but didn't help her to her feet or anything as he moved around her to leave while she was getting back up.
"Wait!" She shouted catching his arm right as he moved past her, he was a little shocked by how bold she was being, "That's it? A simple sorry and then you just walk away?"
He did not expect her to be this outspoken, from the books and movies to his knowledge she was shy and kind of introverted, but then again he didn't believe that much. She did just walk into a school and dated who by far was the most sought after guy, and there was the fact that Bella wasn't bad looking.
She was a version of Kristen Stewart that seemed to have it all figured out, sure she was still a teenager, but even he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was under the awkwardness she seemed to put out there.
"I'm sorry? Should I have done something more other then apologizing?" He asked brow raised he made no move to leave.
She scoffed releasing his arm as she crossed her own, "I don't know, maybe help me up. The girls here seem to worship you for being..."
"For being what?" He cut her off with a chuckle, "I haven't spoken to any other then Jessica Stanley and Rosalie Hale, who could possibly have anything else to say about my personality other then them? Here's a word of advice Isabella, don't believe rumors."
He could see her bristling as she poked his chest seconds later, "You could still be more then the ass you seem and helped me up, you did knock me down! And my name is Bella!"
He chuckled moving away from her, "Whatever you say Isabella."
