Ryan groaned as he woke the next morning, he hated his new smelling for reasons like this, even if he was all the way upstairs he could smell the food his mother was currently burning in the kitchen. "Shit, this is not edible. Why can't I get this right." He heard her whisper from where he laid.

Unconsciously a small smile was on his face.

Swinging out of bed he made his way out the room and to his own, getting dressed he grabbed his backpack before heading down stairs where the smell of things burning were getting more intense then before. Entering the kitchen he saw his mother standing near the stove, she was in a panic as the flames on the pan increased causing her to be startled, his father was no where in sight.

"Oh shit!" She shouted waving the fanning flame around as she tried to figure out how to put it out.

Ryan rolled his eyes as he took some flour and snuffed out the flames, "Mom, why are you trying to cook?"

"I...I just wanted to make you something, then I realized that I am a terrible cook. So, it did not go as planned." She laughed depressingly at the end.

Ryan sighed while setting the pan under cold water, "You don't need to make me breakfast mom, not that I don't appreciate it. I just don't always eat it."

"Oh...well I guess I will see you after school?" She asked hesitantly.

He shrugged whole grabbing his lunch and filling his backpack, "You should, I don't have anything else other then practice."

"Okay..... Shouldn't you be taking off?" She asked curious as he just took a seat at the counter and took out his phone.

Ryan waved it away as he began replying to Leah who had been messaging him since last night, "Maybe, but I haven't been to a full first period class since last year. It honestly doesn't matter at this point."

"I feel like I should address this, but nothing I say will change it will it?" She asked with a raised brow.

"No, nothing will. Trust me they already had a whole meeting about me, still didn't change anything. Not even when they threatened to expel me or not let me graduate." He offhandedly mentioned as he replied to an angry message from Leah.

"Huh...well alright then."

Ryan eyes snapped up as he smelled the familiar smell of his weed, "Umm, mom, what is that?"

She held a big puff in her mouth while speaking, "What? I might not be the best mom, but if my son is going to grow weed then I am going to smoke it, I do pay the bills for the house."

Ryan didn't say anything, mainly because he was still shocked from his mom smoking his weed, and since he hasn't checked it out he didn't know if she was smoking something that was stronger then need be. He took a moment to think before leaving it as is, there was no point in checking, if it was something super strong the most it would do is have her stuck somewhere for some hours.

"Where's dad?" He asked after being in the kitchen for ten minutes and still not seeing the man.

"Ummmmmmm," she blinked, and blinked again even from where he sat he could see her dilated pupils, "Your Father?"

He chuckled, "Yeah mom, your husband, where is he?"

"Hmmm, do you mind if I eat something you cooked, I know I will think better if I have eaten." She said with a silly smile on her face.

He chuckled, "Yeah go ahead mom."

She clapped happily and went to grab three prepaid meals that he had in there, he would just need to make more when he had the time. Standing he shouldered his bag as he would be making it to school as first period ended, "Well enjoy the high mom, I am going to go to school now."

"Hehe He's here, He's there, He's Every Fucking Where, Ryan Robins! Ryan Robins!" She started chanting as he was making his way to the garage.

He didn't even know she had watched Ted Lasso, taking his helmet he got his motorcycle and drove out, his mom would most likely be using her own today...maybe so he didn't want to take it. As he pulled out the rain pelted him, it was so bad that as a normal human he wouldn't have even thought to ride it, but he no longer had that worry.

Driving to school he cruised, he didn't hear the rain in his house so he didn't actually know it was that bad, thunder boomed overhead as he pulled into the parking lot, he rushed inside as his pants were beginning to be soaked. Shaking the water out his hair he walked into the halls, with five minutes to spare for the next class he just decided to head there.

Ryan froze seeing that, he stopped not because of the first mission, but because of the second it honestly did not make sense to him, what was he not seeing exactly. His life had pretty much been everything he predicted, there really was nothing that stood out to him, but seeing the penalty made him pause.

Rubbing a hand over his face he didn't worry about it, for now, instead he focused on the first mission, it was something way easier for him to finish anyway. He would just go hunting this week and find who he needed to kill, it would give him some time away from home too, while he was coming to not mind his mom, his father was a whole of thing.

Sighing he walked into his next class before it was even over, the bell rang as he made it to his seat though so all the other students cleared out as he took a seat. His head was so lost in thought he didn't notice class starting or Rosalie who took a seat next to him worrying her lip thinking he was ignoring her.
