51 Ch.51 Love is always worth the pain. Pt.2

A few weeks have passed since that day and I have never felt worse in my life. My body is in constant pain, I feel weak, and my mind is always thinking of them. I want to meet them but I can't bring myself to do it. I had switched off my phone for some time now.

I haven't been going to school, and that's good cause it was December. I was lying on my bed and was thinking about them and by this time I was used to the pain. As I was doing this I heard the door busting wide open; I stood up and I saw it was Bella.

I sighed and laid down again and said, "Get out, man."

She walked towards me, and she saw the mess I made in the room. She carefully stepped and made her way to my bed and said, "Come, I need you."

I sighed and said, "Not interested."

She folded her arms and said, "Are you busy or something?"

I hummed and said, "Now get out."

She sighed and said, "Come on Chris, I need your help with the lights. Dad is off to work. I need your help. I can't find the ladder or anything."

I said, "Christmas is still a few days away."

She said, "Yeah, but this year I wanted to do it." She smiled and said, "And god knows you need to get out of your room, for once."

I sighed and said, "I don't care."

She sighed and said, "Fine, don't help." She walked away and said, "At least tidy up your room." She slammed the door and walked downstairs.

I sighed and closed my eyes, but after a few minutes I heard a crashing noise. I sighed and said, "I am not going, I am not going, I am not going, I am not going."

She shouted, "Chris!"

I cursed and got up and said, "Every damn time."

I walked downstairs, and I saw she was lying on the ground with the ladder and the lights. I exhaled and got that off of her and I pulled her up and asked, "You okay?"

She nodded and then grunted and said, "See, that's why I asked for your help."

I sighed, and I erected the ladder and I said, "Get up."

She smiled and got on the ladder, then kissed me on the cheek and said, "Thanks Chris." She went to the roof, and she lay out the lights and she asked, "So how is the whole pain situation?"

I nonchalantly said, "He destroyed the leaf?"

She was confused and said, "What?"

I sighed and said, "Still there…"

She sighed and nodded and said, "You sure this thing is worth holding on to?"

I looked at her and asked, "What do you mean?"

She said, "The grudge you are holding for them, is it worth it?"

I scoffed and she said, "Maybe you should forgive them?"

I looked at her and said, "You know nothing of what I am feeling… it's easy for people to say, oh forget about them, it's not worth holding a grudge, if any of it happened to you, if Edwards was to leave you… you would know a fraction of what I feel."

She looked at me and nodded and said, "You are correct, I don't know any of it. You know why?" I looked at her and she said, "Because you stood up for me… you straightened up Edward when he wanted to leave me in the name of keeping me safe… so let me do the same for you, let me straighten you up."

I looked down, and she walked down the ladder and said, "The hate you hold for what they did is nothing but a fraction of the love you have for them." She cupped my chin and said, "When you love someone, when you open up, you are bound to get hurt. The pain you feel is nothing but a proof of the love you felt. In the end, it is still worth it."

I looked at her and I had tears in my eyes and she wiped them away and said, "You think your love story has ended, but it's just the beginning and what good is a story if it doesn't have a few road bumps."

I sniffed, and I nodded, and, and she hugged me, and I let go of it. We are immortal things like these will be pointless one day… I am happy that I will get to spend my eternity with the people I love. I let go of Bella and I said, "I need to make some phone calls."

She smiled, and I walked into the house to my room and I again heard her fall and she called out to me, but I didn't go. I said, "Sorry sis."

I got to my room, and I unlocked my phone and I texted Alice and Emily and asked them for some favours. They agreed when they heard my plan.

(Cat Pov)

Alice and Rose had dragged me out of the house suddenly today. Alice wanted to do a Christmas Party. But she said she didn't have a dress, so she dragged me out of the house to go shopping with her.

We were in the same shop where I got my prom dress. As we got inside the shop, I saw Leah and Emily, her cousin, they were shopping as well. She saw me and I wanted to leave after what happened. I just couldn't do it, but before we could leave, Alice called out to Leah, "Hey, Leah, Emily."

I smiled and nodded, and so did Emily. Emily asked, "What are you guys here for?"

Alice said, "I am throwing a Christmas Party." She looked at Leah and then said, "You guys should come."

Leah shook her head but Emily said, "Of course, how can we decline when you are so politely asking us?" Leah threw glares at her but she just shot her down.

Alice asked, "Why are you here?"

Emily scoffed and said, "It's Seth, he bought a suit here before he went hulk and now I need to return it."

Alice and Emily walked away while talking, and Leah said, "There is definitely something going on here."

I looked at Leah and she looked at me and we both said "I am sorry."

We both sighed, and I asked, "How are you doing?"

Leah sighed, and I said, "I assume the same as me?" She nodded, and we shopped for dresses and she said, "Have you heard from Bella?"

I nodded and said, "He is getting worse. He doesn't eat, shower, irregular sleep and that constant pain in his heart."

Leah had tears in her eyes and I tried to console her but she just grabbed me and hugged me. She hugged me tighter and I tapped on her arm and said, "You are crushing me."

She let go and apologised. We both were down and cheer up by shopping. As the shopping ended, I asked her to come home with me. At least we could dwell in sorrow together. She reluctantly agreed. We reached home, and I saw the house was completely dark and no one was there and they covered my house in lights and Christmas carols were going on.

I asked Alice "What's going on?"

She smiled and said, "You'll find out when you get in. Merry Christmas?"

Leah and I got out of the car, and we smelled hot cocoa and cinnamon coming from home. We walked up to the door and opened it. As we walked inside, we saw that the entire house was decorated and we also got a familiar smell.

As we walked into the living room, we saw him.

I hopped up from the seat and I saw those two. The look on their faces was incredible. I smiled and said, "Merry Christmas."

They were confused, and I said, "I thought we could celebrate an early Christmas together." They walked towards me and Cat asked, "What is all this? I don't get it?"

I sighed, and I hugged her and she was still confused but she hugged me back and cried and I saw Leah and she was in tears as well. I opened my arms to her as well. We all cried a little, but then Leah asked, "Does this mean you forgive us?"

I chuckled and said, "Yeah." She squealed and hugged me again. We were hugging for sometime but then I pulled back, resulting in some pouts, and I said, "Since it's Christmas, I have some presents."

Cat smiled and said, "You forgave us. That's enough."

I shrugged and said, "I have bought it so…" I got the two small boxes from the sofa and I gave it to them. They took it and shook it and unwrapped it. And they saw a ring box, and they both screamed, they said, "Oh my god, no! It's too soon!" But their voice was filled with excitement.

I smiled and said, "Just open it." they both slowly opened it and all the excitement was gone.

They said, "It's empty." But they didn't find me, they looked down, and I was on my knee holding two rings both of which had teardrop halo shaped gems and I said, "It's a promise ring, I couldn't get something like what Edward got… so. Would you two like to marry me someday?"

They both were in tears and they nodded and said, "Yes!" and tackled me. They both landed kisses on me and I chuckled and said, "I love you two."

They said, "I love you too." I put the rings on them and I kissed them.
