80 From another place

"Over eighty days ago humanity was executed, the righteous and sinners were judged equally and with equal pain depending on their situation, many managed to hide from the spread of the virus that started it all."

"Some managed to save themselves from becoming an undead or something else, who would know what the hell is out there right? With a lot of luck and skills apparently many managed to survive, after all it's impossible for humans to perish completely in this hellhole where many say it was sent by God."

"But that's just unjustified bullshit to evade the guilt humans have in playing with a force more powerful than they could control, now we suffer the consequences of those decisions that were out of our hands."

"But within all this hell I see a great opportunity, this opportunity gives us the possibility to choose our path and make our own decisions in one order. No more powers or authorities laying their hands on human development, there will be no two sides to follow later and the best thing for everyone is for one to lead the future of humanity."

"This will be worth it, slowly pursuing our survival, we will learn to work in this land stained with walkers and rot. I have one wish and that is that with determination and help we can move forward together from this point."

Inside a large building, a man with messy hair and covered in black tactical gear held a pair of binoculars. With his movements slow, he carefully observed all that lay ahead and his tone of voice became increasingly disappointed.

"I thought that when he mentioned that this group was invincible, it was not to be trifled with and the only thing we should do is to retreat and it made me think that the other side was a group of another category, a level far superior to what my eyes are seeing."

"Mr. Airon, if you let me explain, they attacked us unexpectedly, we were not prepared to defend ourselves..."

"Shh!" Looking at the group behind him with nervous expressions, Airon smiled slightly and pointed, "This group of people should be the one with the most control in this part of the city, right?"

"That's right!" An old man named Jeffrey entered the room and looked at Airon with a grim expression. "The leader they call him Dmitry, and his aggressiveness is originally as I thought. He doesn't care about people at all, just when he finds a shelter he takes the weapons, more than half the food and keeps doing it for a long time."

"That group just set up shop, we don't know much about them but they are extremely dangerous, we were thinking of leaving this place until those bastards took a lot of our people to keep us from leaving this place."

As the two spoke, noisy footsteps were heard from the hallway outside the door, and then the door opened and a group of Persians dressed the same way as Airon entered.

"Sir, we have split up according to your instructions, this place houses about 150 people and surely if we leave this place they will die." At that moment, Elias approached with a serious expression and reported the situation to Airon.

Throughout this time, Airon continued to scour the city of Atlanta in search of important areas and essential resources. His main objective was to see if he could create a shelter somewhere in the city and from that point obtain more land.

It wasn't long after they ran into problems, in addition to solving these problems, they also took in some survivors and continued to move forward.

But not more than a month ago, Airon and his large group that until now had been moving around Atlanta, came across Jeffrey's large group that by his words, had recently been attacked by a group led by Dmitry.

When Airon looked at this opportunity, he was definitely interested in having this group of people on his side. This was the perfect time to be able to open a group on the side of the city of Atlanta.

"Hmm, the time has come for you to make up your mind Jeffrey, will you and your people agree to join us or would you otherwise prefer to remain people oppressed by another group?"

Airon's eyes quickly swept over Jeffrey along with the people next to him who should be the ones helping him lead his group, and he said, "They probably don't know me and that's to be expected, many of my group are experienced soldiers and we are still working to slowly rebuild a new beginning within all that we have been suffering through so far."

"Are you from the army?" Hearing this, the eyes of a woman next to her shone with some vigilance and she looked at Airon in surprise, but soon realized that she had asked a bit of a silly question, if these highly equipped people and apparently in a very good condition, what makes you think that these people are not lying or something like that?

"You all seem to come from a place where you are not suffering like the others, that at least assures me that you are not lying. But what do you gain by helping us?"

"What do you mean?" As soon as this question came out, Airon frowned, stared at this woman and said, "Well, our goal is to expand and help people who still want to survive, it wouldn't hurt us at all to expand our ground to the city of Atlanta."

"I understand, I never thought that after all this time there is a group like yours that still cares about people."

The woman named Anna looked at Airon's nonchalant expression and this proved to her that the other party was not lying, she could see no trace of a lie or a hidden desire in his words and immediately realized that he could be trusted to accept his words.

"Difficult times have made people distrustful of others, today who could be certain of what the other party is up to?"

Hearing the difficulties of this group, Airon simply did not move from his seat, he looked at Anna and said, "It is a pity that you have no more options, but I assure you that my intentions are good and very soon my actions will speak louder than my words."

"You have a point..."

After sitting for a long time, Airon gradually sorted out his thoughts and what he could do in his situation. So far it had been about two months since he left the prison, but by the words of his people everything was going on in order.

During all this time, besides being traveling as a nomad and facing many terrible things that the end of the world has to offer, especially how terrible people can be, the probability of facing people and dying is higher than with walkers.

He unconsciously touched his chin and then muttered the words, "How do you see it Elias?"

"It definitely won't be a problem sir, we have over thirty troops and thirteen more in reserve not counting the people in this group, seeing the difference in experience and the way we move we'll be able to do it without calling for reinforcements."

"I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a direct confrontation with these people, they are definitely well armed." After lingering for a moment, Anna said, "But if they are willing to take out that man's group, many will participate without hesitation."

"Okay, I understand that." Airon said as he thought about whether it was a good idea to have a second refuge of people in the city. There definitely aren't many walkers due to the fact that many people left the city and this caused the walkers as well, but that doesn't indicate that it's safe.

Seeing that the conversation stopped, Jeffrey looked at Anna and said, "Can you come out first? I will tell you in detail all the information we know about Dmitry's group, everything will be faster as long as not many people are in this room."

"Yes, I understand." Anna nodded and left the room.

"I don't really like the idea of thinking about trusting ex-servicemen, before all this started I watched with my own eyes how many of the soldiers killed everyone no matter if they were infected or not." Jeffrey said in a frank voice.

When Airon heard Jeffrey's words, he nodded with understanding. Many of the soldiers even if they didn't want them followed the cobalt operation even though it didn't bring results to the uncontrollable situation.

"But we have no options, your eyes tell me you are not someone evil, I hope I am right about this. Well, the place where that man named Dmitry's group is located is that building you looked at, he has a lot of people under his orders and they are not someone to be trifled with."

"It's a big facility, definitely that group has a lot of important resources in their hands that others don't. I'm still doubting if we'll be able to take down their group, I think our forces won't be enough."

Immediately thinking about the possibilities, Airon smiled slightly and said, "That shouldn't be a problem, if they are such a troublesome group we should definitely wipe them all out and take their place to establish a new shelter from that point."

"I see that at least your men fully trust your words, I hope to at least fight to get all these people inside my shelter in a better place." Jeffrey said with a somewhat thoughtful look.

"Well, you know all about our group and what we have sacrificed to survive. If you are willing to eliminate Dmitry's group, all of us will do our best to support you."

"There's nothing to be afraid of, I'm sure my people would love to eliminate that group quickly. The problem will be the walkers, the people of this community will have to work to clear the terrain of walkers that will hinder our mobility."

Teas saying this, Airon looked at Elias and they left the room. If you consider the resources that Dmitry's group has, this will be more than enough to wipe out that group. But there were many benefits to taking out that group, not only will he be able to create a new safe haven in Atlanta, but also all the survivors in this whole place.
