Chapter 4

Semone suddenly realized that the boy had a lightning bolt on his forehead. "Is that lightning bolt a tattoo?" He asked.

"This thing? Nah mate, I was born with this, my brother got the lame triangle ahahaha."

"I see.. Well, can't you tell me what this place is?"

"Hm, I think I'll leave the explaining to someone else, but come follow me I'll bring you to the village. Oh and by the way the names Bolt."

He followed the neko-boy to a gate, where Bolt pressed his paw on a keyhole, opening it.

They entered the gate, and there were several odd looking buildings. There was an entire underground village there, full of the Nekos. Semone stared at his surroundings in awe as Bolt led him through the village. Semone noticed a lot of stares towards him, which made him realize that he was out of place.

"So.. where are we going?" Semone quietly asked.

"Huh? The village center of course!" He said, ignoring the fact Semone was trying to avoid attention.

Bolt opened the door to a large building, it looked very important and was well-kept. Inside, there was a reception desk with a middle-aged neko man. He asked for IDs, Bolt proceeded to hand him a card as Semone looked, unsure of what to do. Bolt was allowed to go, but the man didn't let Semone go in, Bolt tried explaining he was a visitor but the man refused to let Semone in. Semone noticed an old man walk up to me, he said, "Let this young man in, Nicolas."

"But Sir h-"

"Please let him in."

"As you wish.."

"Thanks, Village Elder!" Bolt exclaimed.

"Ah.. it's nothing, your here to meet me after all." He responded.

We proceeded into a room, it looked like a normal meeting room for a company. We talked for a long time before the elder finally led us to a room higher up in the building, he told us that's where Sierra and the others were. As we walked in Semone noticed something was wrong, there was only Sierra and the cat. "Um.. where's our mother?" He asked.

"Your mother?" The Elder asked.

"There was no one else with them."

Semone's heart dropped and he began breathing heavily, he realized that his mother was still there. "We have to go back now!"

"We can't.." Sierra said, her voice cracking as tears came from her face.

"Why not? We c-"

"No, Semone.. sh-she's.."

Everyone looked down at their feet, but Semone was confused and didn't understand.

"She's what? It dosent matter as long as we can st-"Semone, she's gone. They.. they killed her.."

Semone was filled with anger, gilt and sadness as he swore revenge, tears falling from his face.

"I-I don't believe it! Why would they do such a thing?!"

"Calm down, there's nothing we can do now, we have sent a letter to your father, while we wait we are going to allow you to take residence here." The Elder stated.

"We don't need your help! We are old enough to take care of ourselves!" Semone yelled.

"Semone.. we are only five years old!"

"So what? We can-"

"Semone please.. we need to stay here, it's what mother would have wanted.."

Semone walked to the corner of the room and sat silently until he fell asleep. Sierra went to sleep as well and the nekos left the room.

*Neko - A person with some features and behaviors of a cat, for reference search up "neko!"
