Future perception

No matter how heavy his heart currently felt, he had to sacrifice it all for the greater cause.

Young Yichen was intelligent enough to know it and hence, he simply took the black core and stored it away inside his pocket.

While he was doing it, the elder send a little bit of his prowess to quickly tested out Yichen's strength but was unexpectedly forced back without letting him get a hint of his strength. Furthermore, he felt an incredibly strong beast aura coming off him. It was no simple beast in any way.

Intimidated by it, he immediately stopped there.

Lord Guotin could see through his act but since the mortal was in a much-intimidated state; he felt it was unnecessary to alert young Yichen. Therefore, he just let it slide.

By then, the elder already knew that the man before him was wearing something valuable and was hiding his strength and appearance at the same time. There was much more to him than meets the eye.

Since it came to this, he didn't pry further as everything was all for the matter of business and the man before him was doing it clean, so, he just left things as it was and pretended as if nothing happened.

When Yichen turned to him, he beamed pretentiously and spoke surely: "I am sure that young mister must have wanted to keep his identity a secret but how about we go by a nickname? With this, the guild will be able to identify mister right away when he comes back later?"

Yichen gave deep thought to it.

It was expected for the elder to suggest it.

After all, the Red Sun Guild was the type to do strict and cautious business. This time he had come up to them with the much more valuable sky-tier yellow cactus flower, therefore, they must already assumed his background to be much influential and wanted to be on good terms with him. This way, the later transactions were deemed to turn out good.

It was also a great situation for him, as shortly he might be frequent in his visit to the guild.

With the thought in mind, he just noted in a cool composure: "Cheeky chick will do."

The elder was a bit taken aback by it. He never thought that the calm and composed-looking man would come up with such a saucy name.

"Ick! Kid, what was that for?! How could you bring up that chick in your nickname?! You could have bring up something cool and mighty like a Black tiger? Wild Hero?!"

Lord Guotin poured out his frustration in a go. He was very much annoyed by it.

The very word, 'chick' had triggered him greatly. It was a kind of taboo word to him.

While he was complaining, the elder replied with a quick amusing comeback: "Heh. Fine...as expected of the young man. Even the nickname you came up with is quite..uhh....fantastic!"

He flashed in awkwardness.

Yichen beamed at it and soon walked out from there.

Along the way, he grins devilishly and started to tease: "Eh...Master, ain't the nickname quite good? Even that white hair elder just praise that it was fantastic? Besides that, Yichen couldn't help to think of any other name. Cheeky chick..is quite a good nickname. Eh?"

He was having it all the fun teasing his master and Lord Guotin on the side was left so soured. He was so done with this brat disciple of his.

His cute fluffy head turned away much annoyed. He was so disgruntled with the just now cheeky conduct of this rascal disciple.

Though it was much annoying; he must hold onto it and remind this brat disciple of his, the more important task.

With it, he sighed heavily as he spoke up in a somewhat tight tone: "Well, kid, ain't it time for you to fix that divine pendant as well? This master is also very much tired to go in and out of your pocket? I am pretty sure that this big guild must have the suitable neck chain to put your pendant into."

He then turned and watched around in vigilance.

"Mn..aahhh..that..."

Yichen directly stopped at it.

It was good that his master had reminded him at just the right time.

It was quite a task for him as well to carry around the pendant in his pocket. Instead, it would be good if it could be restored into something wearable so that he didn't have to check and look after his pocket every time.

With the thought in mind, he walked forth to the counter.

Seeing him returning to him; the elder inquired amused: "Oh? Is there anything else that the Cheeky chick wishes to buy?"

"Heh..!"

Yichen sniggered at it. Though he named it himself to tease his master; it was quite awkward when someone called him by that name.

"I just uh... needed something like a necklace where I can put my pendant and wears it."

As he stated his needs; the elder was left paused for a while.

"Mn....something like a pendant necklace. Then....."

He shortly moved around and opened up one of the drawers. From there he took out the purple tier spatial ring.

From it, he summoned all the men's necklaces that were inside it.

There were several shapes and sizes of various neck chains that were displayed on the table. Some were made from precious metals like moon gold while some were made from the skin of the profound beast silver cobra; the skin of the profound beast horned crocodile.

What stood out from the rest was the black colour neck chain made from the black devil flying snake.

This neck chain was hard like leather with the breadth of an earthworm and was approximately 56cm in length. It comes with clasp closure. Yichen could fix the plum-sized jade pendant on it easily and wear it as a simple neck chain.

The black colour chain and his green phoenix jade pendant would go well together as well.

Enticed by it, he grabbed the necklace made from the skin of the black devil flying snake and observed it closely.

The elder smiled at it and spoke up livelily: "Heh. Mister Cheeky chick has quite a unique taste. This necklace is made from the soul beast black devil flying snake and is rather unique. This rare soul beast is quite difficult to find and stayed at the moistest place.

Because of its rarity, this is the only piece we have got here, furthermore, the leather made from the beast skin is quite tough and firm which will make it able to stand the test of times and weathers."

From the looks of it, what the mortal had said was pretty much convincing, moreover, Yichen seemed to like it.

Since it was only to put the divine pendant and wore it as an accessory, therefore, Lord Guotin didn't have much to say about it.

The mortal's just now words proved the leather to be quite tough and good for a long time used.

Therefore, he turned to Yichen and noted consciously: "Looks like you have found your taste. It's good to take it, furthermore, it's only a soul beast, so, the price wouldn't be much."

Yichen nodded his head at it and turned to the elder: "How much for this?"

"This is the necklace made from the soul beast, therefore, the price is only five yellow cards..."

Just as he said it, Yichen's face instantly darkened.

He didn't believe that the neck chain made from soul beasts would cost him five yellow cards?! Forget about five, he didn't even have a single yellow card with him right now!

Seeing the pale face of this young man, the elder continued with a knowing grin: "But..considering the good deals we just made, our guild would like to cut off some amount and give our valuable customer a much lower price that is only a hundred gold coins."

Yichen's eyes grew widened by it: 'Holy crap!'

'What the heck just happened?!'

Just when he thought that he won't be able to buy the neckwear; the elder just ridiculously reduced the price at a much more affordable rate. It was quite unexpected!

But then thinking it through, this good favour, the guild was only foreseeing the good deals that were going to be made in the later future. The elder had already perceived the long term. Since it was the case then he might as well concedes to it.

With a calm composure, Yichen smiled and said merrily: "Then...so be it. The favour done by the guild, Cheeky chick will remember."

With it, he took out the pouch which contained the hundred gold coins and kept it on the table.

The elder counted it carefully and noted: "Fine, all hundred coins. The red sun guild is very much happy to meet the admirable customer. We hope all our future transactions will be much more glorious."

Yichen smiled at it and cupped his fist: "Sure."

He soon grabbed the neckwear and walked out from there.
