Maniac laughter
Unlike the four disciples that had engaged him earlier, the talismans swarming around Liu Sumeng posed a lot more of a challenge. They whizzed around the air quickly, creating streaks of gold, weaving past his sword and following the movement of his blade.
Even when he could catch the flapping talismans with the edge of his sword, they proved difficult to cut. Chen Jiang as absolutely relentless, unleashing more and more as he pleased with a burst of maniac laughter high on his lips.
First thing was first, the Ivory Sword Saint had to stop the issue at its roots. Summoning a barrier and a frosty wind, he blew back the talismans and made a path for himself. Icy blue waves of frost kept the talismans away at last temporarily as Liu Sumeng rushed forth, brandishing his blade against Chen Jiang.
