7 7. Unexpected Visit

I woke up abruptly sitting up in bed. I looked around and realized I was in my room. I sighed heavily. I was to have such a wonderful life in my beautiful dream...

Again I heard the thud that had awakened me earlier. After a while, it dawned on me that this sound was coming from the real world, and it was not just a figment of my imagination, as I first thought.

With difficulty straining my sleepy mind, I realized that it was my door that made so much noise, or rather the one who was banging on it.

I got up heavily from the bed and was about to head automatically towards the kitchen for a morning dose of my brain when I realized that maybe it be better when I open the door first. But... What if someone wants something from me? Without drinking my morning coffee, I can't comprehend anything... Eh, at most someone will meet with zombies. It means with me when I'm being before drinking my first coffee, which triggers my thought processes.

Slowly and sleepily, I walked to the door and didn't even think about it, to check through the viewfinder who is making so much noise or ask who is there before I opened them. And it was my biggest mistake, although it didn't understand it to me until later.

Outside, behind the door, standing Samael, who seemed to be a little pissed off.

I groaned aloud in torment. What he wants from me again?

Though despite my reluctance to see him, I couldn't deny that he really looked gorgeous in the black leather pants and T-shirt that slightly hugged his muscles, and the leather jacket. I stared at him for a moment and then when he was about to speak, I silenced him with a gesture of my hand.

- Coffee first, then conversation - I said in a hoarse sleepy voice and stepped back slightly so he could enter.

After he did so, I closed the door behind him and went into the kitchen. Samael sat down at the kitchen table, and after a while, with ready coffee, I sat down in front of him, taking the first big sip of salvation. As coffee started to wake my brain, I realized what was happening.

I froze with wide eyes.

Samael is here, at my place, and he sees me... Shit! He sees me! In the morning when I'm sitting here in two-day clothes and when I looking sloppy. When my makeup is all smudged and it is probably breaking through him my complexion, my hideous complexion with scars...

Fuck!

I jumped up from my chair as if it was on fire. Leaving my coffee on the table, and I quickly rushed to the bathroom. Probably just because I acted by surprise, I managed to get there before Samael caught me.

I locked the bathroom door and then leaning my back against it, I slumped to the floor to finally curl up on her in a ball, wrapping my arms around my knees against which I gently pounded my stupid empty head. Now I didn't want to look in the mirror all the more. I felt the coffee I had just drunk tries to retreat from my stomach. This illusory feeling I felt was due to the disgust I felt about my appearance and stupidity.

After a while, a slight knock on the door sounded in silence.

I decided to ignore them. The knocking came again, this time louder. And the third time when I was still am quiet, I heard a faint growl and then rang out a man's voice, a little muffled by the door. It was Samael's voice. A voice so damn deep it shook my whole body a little, permeating them all the way to my bones. I also want to have such a magnetic voice...

- Gabriel, open the door.

Phi, and what else? There's no way I could open this door for him, what is he even thinking? Stupid handsome wolf.

- Gabriel...

- What do you want? - I growled at him, well aware that he would not leave until he got what he came for.

I sighed deeply in a voice full of my inner anguish.

- We need to talk.

In response to his words, I laughed darkly.

The guy is fucked up. First, he talks about partnership, then he ignores me, and now he wants to talk. I would like to disregard him, but my sick curiosity got the better of me.

- If you want to talk, just talk. For what you have come?

- ... I'm not gonna talk through the door. It's childish. Open them up.

I frowned slightly, then stood up abruptly and turned towards the door.

On the one hand, I wanted to open them and shout to him what I thought about him and his behavior, but on the other hand, I was stopped by my inner monster, who whispered hideous words in my ear about the hideous me.

I sighed frustrated and rested my forehead against the door, then said softly.

- If you care so much about this pointless and unnecessary conversation, we can meet later and talk, but now go out.

After my words, there was a silence, brief but strangely meaningful.

- Agreed, let's meet in two hours at the club.

- Nope, I don't agree. Choose a neutral place.

Although it might seem that he gave me control of the situation, in fact, he still wanted to dictate his terms to me. I didn't agree to it, or he would let me really decide or he would never see me again.

I huffed softly and thought sarcastically. Yeah as if he was to see me again after he will tell me what he has to say...

It's strange, but I had a feeling that what's going on here right now is more than it looks, something important that will have an impact on the future. Though I couldn't imagine how this would have anything to do with the future.

Eh, I need more coffee. Because of this idiot, I only had a sip of it, and to this, my sweet dream was interrupted when I just was about to have my wonderful wedding! Grrrr...

- Well, If you don't want to in the club then not. Then maybe we meet in a cafe? There is one not far from here, we can talk quietly there, and it provides at least some privacy compared to the others. And so, preceding your question, one of my pack wolves is leading it.

While the words Samael spoke were important, I focused more on his tone of voice. He seemed strangely tense. But why? I couldn't understand it.

Weird, it's all so fucking weird.

- Leave me the name of this place and its location on a piece of paper on the table next to the coffee, I'll be there.

Saying it, I sighed in resigned.

As soon as the last word came out of my mouth I heard Samael's footsteps walking away and then the sound of the apartment door closing.

He left.

Resigned, I ran my hand through my hair and headed for the kitchen to finish my probably already lukewarm coffee.
