Feil reached out a paw and tapped the crystal.

"A Spinosaurus egg fossil? It's clearly just a Black Crystal."

Feil checked the time. It was 10:32.

"Forget it, time to sleep." It yawned and took one last glance at the Black Crystal. Then, with a leap, it jumped down from the desk, shook its paws, and burrowed into Lin You's blanket. Half-asleep and in a daze, Lin You stretched out a hand and pressed the light switch.

With a click, the room was suddenly plunged into darkness.

Both human and cat fell deeply into slumberland.
