60 Twin Demons Vs Akainu

Akainu looked at Roman who just arrived with a frown as he asked.

"What was that attack?!"

Roman looked coldly at the Admiral as he replied.

"Who knows!"

Akainu just stared at him, still not completely believing what just happened.

[How did he burn me, I'm the lava devil fruit user, not even flames can burn me, yet he burnt me… How did he do it?!]

Orion could guess what was going through his mind, but he didn't care. Right now all Orion was focused on was finding a way to defeat the man in front of him.

Ori and Roman took a quick glance at each other and seeing how they were on the same wave length they made their move.

Orion shifted the wind to increase Roman's speed as he darted towards the lava Admiral. Akainu was caught off guard by Roman's speed but was still able to react. As the downwards swing of the black halberd entered his range Akainu thrust his blackened magma fist to intercept it.

Just as the two attacks were about to meet a pressurized wind beam shot at Akainu's fist like a flash of light sending the attack off track.

"Wind Beam!"

As Akainu's fist went passed Roman's body, Roman's Halberd hacked down, lodging itself no more than a few cm into his lava like shoulder.

Seeing how little damage he was able to do to Akainu made Roman's eyes jump in surprise. Akainu's cold killing intent was focused solely on Roman as his fist shot towards Roman's face.

"Dark Hound!"

Roman didn't seem phased by Akainu's attack, instead he released his aura coating his black halberd in golden aura.

Hiss!

Akainu felt a burning sensation coming from his shoulder but chose to ignore the pain and kill his target. But before the fist managed to meet it's mark Orion appeared between them. In his rear hand was his sword but the other hand was holding a giant roatating silver sphere that was thrust at Akainu's Chest.

"Shredding Wind Sphere!"

As Akainu saw the attack coming he was shocked by the aura he felt emanating from it. As one would expected he felt a large amount of wind compacted into a sphere, but he also felt terrifyingly sharp sword intent coming from it. He could tell instantly that this attack was designed to shred it's opponents into nothing. It was too late to dodge so all he could do was block. His whole body instantly expanded as he turned into a giant lava creature.

When Orion's attack connected with the black lava creature that Akainu had transformed into was sent flying through the air.

Orion saw his chance and refused to let it go. He disappeared into the wind and appeared in the air above Akainu.

"Demonic Sword Wave!"

As he said that he slashed out creating a giant black sword light with a red outline. The killing intent coming from the sword light was so frightening that even Akainu felt a little frightened by it.

He was about to counter with his own attack when the roar of the dragon rang in his head attacking his very soul!

"Roar of the Dragon!"

Akainu started bleeding from his ears and was too shaken to block the incoming attack crashing into the opposite side of the docks away from the crowd.

When he crashed into the ground the lava that had blocked off the civilians had disappeared.

Seeing that, the civilians excitedly tried to jump over each other as they made their escape from this terrifying battle!

"The magma's disappeared… Admiral Akainu lost?"

"Without the Admiral to stop them, the pirates will turn to us next!"

Orion and Roman saw that the lava surrounding the docks had disappeared, but they weren't as delusional as the civilians. They knew that it'd take more than that to defeat someone on Akainu's level.

As the civilians left a giant black lava creature stood on two legs walked out from the rubble towards Roman and Orion who were still stood in the air.

With every step it took the temperature in the area would rise dramatically. The ground started transforming into a sea of lava and the air started to shimmer in the heat.

"You 2 are far stronger than I ever thought… If I don't start getting serious than I won't be able to take your lives today!"

Ori looked at the magma man walking towards him and then the affect he was having on the land around him.

[So this is the power of an awakened logia!]

As Orion was studying the effects something started clicked in him. Although he didn't break through to the awakened stage, he took a step forward.

The wind in the area picked up massively as a tornado formed with Ori and Roman in the centre. The tornado started picking up the water and lava in the vicinity as it moved towards Akainu.

[He's not far from awakening… I can't let him live any longer or he'll damage the justice I've worked so hard for!]

As he thought to there he jumped into the air above the tornado itself and looked down at it coldly.

"Great Magma Imprint!"

As he said that he thrust his palm forwards to the top of the tornado. The already giant black magma hand increased dramatically in size, to the point where it was now larger than the circumference of the tornado.

The inhabitants of Dawn Island could see the hand imprint that managed to blot out the sun creating the effect of a solar eclipse.

Shaya who had just brought Ace and Luffy over to their usual training spot saw Sabo alone crying. When Sabo looked up and saw Shaya with his brothers he ran over to them in tears.

"Shaya…

Please help Ori…

He…

He got injured protecting me whilst fighting an Admiral…

Then he passed me to Roman and stayed to fight the Admiral by himself…

Roman already left to help him, but I don't know if it'll be enough…

They need help!"

Before Shaya could reply, a giant black palm descended from the sky like the hand of a deity. Engulfing the tornado that was barely visible under the palm.

She dashed towards the battle site.

"You boys stay here!"

As they watched her leave Luffy looked at the palm worrying about the safety of his teachers, he couldn't help but ask.

"They'll be alright, won't they?!"

Ace comforted Luffy by nodding as he said.

"You've seen how strong they are, with the 3 of them together even an Admiral won't stop them… Right Sabo?!"

Sabo didn't reply he was still looking at the descending palm with tears in his eyes and his fists clenched. He couldn't help but remember the past 3 weeks where Orion would individually teach him everything he could about using the staff despite not knowing much about the staff. How he'd subtly help him, when he felt like he couldn't go on in the morning runs by using a gentle wind to edge him on, so he wouldn't stop. But then he remembered how he carried him in his arm protecting him from getting hurt by Akainu's attacks while suffering silently.

He promised himself to do whatever it took to repay that kindness in the future. He looked towards Ace and Luffy as he finally replied.

"They'll be fine…

They have to be!"
