True King of the Pirates

Orion Kartia's life was cut short and he was now forced to transmigrate into the wonderful world of One Piece but thankfully he has a few gifts to help him get started! This is purely fan-fiction. It's just a way for me to practice my English whilst writing something enjoyable. This book is targeted at avid One Piece fans as there is a lot of terminology that can only be understood by people who follow the manga/anime. The release schedule for normal working weeks will be as follows: Mon - 1x Chapters Tues - 1x Chapter Wed - 1x Chapters Thurs - 1x Chapter Fri - 1x Chapters Sat - 2x Chapters Sun - 2x Chapters Any mass releases or dead periods will be announced in advance. Thank you for all the support so far but please don't hold back with the criticism as well... I need it to improve my writing. I welcome all criticism, as long as it's constructive! I'm mainly using this to test the waters and improve my writing, as I'm also working on the story I'm most proud of and looking forward to releasing! I won't be releasing that one for the foreseeable future as I want to have written the majority of the story in advance as the goal is to get paid on the back of it. And there are too many potentially good novels that finish half way through for one reason or another. I don't want my main novel to be one of those!

Big Mom's Weakness

Whilst Silk was waiting for his instruction, Oven who had been waiting patiently till now asked.

"So what have you decided?"

When he heard that, Silk broke out in a cold sweat. He didn't know what to say, just as he was about to speak the voice that he waited for sounded once more.

"Reject him. And then when the fight starts, use your most powerful strike and leave the rest to me!"

Silk steadied his breathing as he prepared to do what most people in the world would consider completely insane! He steeled his resolve as he looked at Oven.

"I refuse!"

Oven looked at him in shock when he heard that. He didn't expect him to actually reject his offer. This was an offer given by one of the Yonko and a nobody actually rejected.

He glared at the beast like creature before him in a silent rage.

"I'll give you one last chance to make the right decision!"

Silk could feel the killing intent bearing down on him, but his eyes never wavered.

"I've made my decision, I will not be joining the Big Mom Pirates!"

The veins on Oven's forehead started to bulge as his eyes turned bloodshot.

"Haha good, good, good! If your parents were still around to shield you I'd understand, but as it stands, a weak piece of trash like you actually dares to reject the offer of Momma… Come, show me where it is your confidence stems from!"

Oven turned to the commentator and nodded solemnly. Seeing the nod, the commentator shouted to begin through the microphone.

Just as Silk was about to attack, the voice reappeared.

"Attack the air in front of you!"

Silk didn't know what would happen if he trusted the voice, but he knew that if he didn't he'd be subjected to a fate far worse than death. As soon as he heard the instructions, he took a step forward with his left foot before punching out with his right fist.

His fists were covered in what looked like electricity but what caught the eyes of the more powerful of those in the audience was the domineering energy surrounding his fist. It gave the spectators the illusion he would crush anyone that stood in his way.

"Shocking Fist of the Great White Tiger!"

Oven let out a disdainful snort as he saw the attack.

"Martial Artist boundary… Not bad, but far from good enough!"

Just as Oven was about to attack he felt his body being lifted by a violent wind that almost seemed to originate from Silk's fist.

[What… This is impossible!]

Before he even got to make his move, Oven was thrown from the ring! He stood up immediately without so much as a scratch on his body, but by then it was already too late. According to the rules of the colosseum, if you exit the arena for whatever reason, it counts as a loss.

Silk stared at Oven still trying to get over the shock of that last attack.

[To be able to throw a Yonko executive off the ring so easily… Even if they weren't expecting it and the attack did no actual damage, what kind of strength is needed to accomplish that?!]

Just as he was getting lost in his thoughts, Oven's voice woke him up.

"What did you just do?!"

Silk didn't reply, not because he didn't want to, but because he didn't know how to. Seeing him keep quiet only served to anger Oven further! His body turned a glowing orange as the temperature in the arena sky rocketed.

"Suit yourself. If you don't want to talk now, you can be forced to talk later!"

Just as he was about to attack again he felt a sharp wind blow against his face, and with it came the mysterious voice that appeared in Silk's ear previously.

"If you attack Silk again I'll pass the one known weakness of your mother on to as many people as I possibly can!"

When he heard the voice he was shocked because it sounded like whoever it was sounded as if they were right behind him, but he knew there was no one near him.

Despite the lack of information he had on this mysterious entity he didn't panic. He had absolute confidence in his strength and didn't feel like whoever it was could possibly be a threat to his life.

When he heard the voice mention his mother's weakness, he almost laughed in disdain at his attempts to rattle him. He didn't believe that his mother had a weakness, and even if she did he refused to believe that whoever this voice belonged to knew of it.

As if the voice could read his mind it said.

"You don't believe me? I have 3 words for you: Break Carmel's Picture!"

When he heard that, the colour in Oven's face instantly disappeared. He never thought about the destruction of mother Carmel's picture as a weakness, but the more he thought about it, the more he realised that it truly was Big Mom's one weakness.

It was then that he understood this mysterious voice was no trivial figure. To come up with such a plan required understanding the importance of Carmel to Big Mom. And if they know that, then what else would they know. Thinking to there, Oven knew that he had to be smart about this or his mom could be the one to suffer in the long run.

[I have to find a way to find this person and kill them. I can't allow for such a threat to momma to exist!]

"I know you probably want to kill me to get rid of anything that could threaten your mother's life or ambitions, but that's a problem for the later. Right now all you need to do is allow for Silk to leave or I give you my word, that information will spread!"

Oven hated being put in a situation like this, but he knew that at least for right now, he couldn't afford to go against the words of the voice.

He turned to the commentator and nodded gently. To which the commentator spoke out through the microphone.

"The star of the colosseum has done it again. With another 10 wins, he's managed a whooping 90 match winning streak! With only 10 more wins, he will be the 3rd person in the colosseum's history to earn the golden warrior belt. Will he do it or will he fall short… Find out tomorrow!"

The crowd went wild as they chanted his name over and over.

"Silk, Silk, Silk!"

Silk still couldn't believe everything that had happened. Especially the fact that Oven seemed to just be letting him go. Despite the fact that Oven didn't appear to have any intention of stopping him, he couldn't bring himself to leave in case it was a trap.

It was just then that the sound of the mysterious voice reappeared calming his worries.

"You can leave now, no one will stop you!"
