Chapter Six

-Bakugou's POV-

I could hear the rocks falling now, the idiot was leaning against a wall of rocks looking strained. I carefully held the flower close, making sure not to crush it. I waited for the sound of rocks falling to stop before approaching the redhead.

"Katsuki, go back to the stairs and climb up a bit. I'll follow you shortly." he grunted out.

"Those rocks will crush you! How can I leave you here like this?" I yelled, seeing him flinch a bit as the rocks shifted.

"Katsuki! Get out of here, now!" he yelled and glared at me, making me tense at the angry look in his eyes.

I backed away from him, feeling a tightness in my chest. I went back to the stairs, climbing up a few steps before hearing the rocks falling again. Clinging to the stairs I watched a bunch of the rocks roll out and over the edge. I didn't see the idiot and started to climb back down when a lot more rocks went over the ledge. I stopped and watched as a bit of red hair poked out of the rocks. He crawled out slowly, a small cut on his forehead but otherwise unharmed. I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding and relief washed over me.

"Come on idiot, let's get out of here before something else happens." I called, seeing him turn and smile at me before following me up the stairs again.

-Time Skip: An hour later-

We made it back to the top and I was still carefully clutching the flower. Once we made it safely away from the stairs my old hag nearly crushed me in a hug. I tried to wiggle away from her, barely managing to get my arms free when my father spoke up.

"We heard the rockslide and had to stop her from going down there to help you two." he stated, looking relieved as well.

"My baby could've died and they wouldn't let me go help, it was terrible." my old hag stated, sniffling afterwards.

"I knew my boy could handle this, after all, this is nothing compared to the exploration tests our youth go through yearly." a woman with pitch black hair stated, smiling at the redhead.

In all honesty she was stunning, and looked to be around Kirishima's age. Was she an old girlfriend of his? I felt a pang go through my heart when he smiled down at her with affection. One of the elders cleared their throat and everyone looked to them, waiting to hear what the wrinkly people had to say.

"May we see the flower?" the oldest one asked, holding out his hand.

I handed it to him and saw him smile slightly and nod, turning to lead us back to the ceremony site. My folks were on either side of me as the ravenette was on the right side of Kirishima. I couldn't keep from glaring at her a few times, not getting caught by her while we all walked. I'll ask him about it later after the ceremony, so long as she didn't make an issue of anything I won't be a dick about her being here.

Once we reached the ceremony site I noticed the chattering of almost everyone in our tribe and the group of people from the other tribe. Everyone seemed to be getting along to a fair degree, mostly just talking about how the ceremony would proceed. Others were talking about how they always wanted to visit the other terrains. It was nice to see everyone getting along, at least they'll be safe now.

"Alright Katsuki, just do your best. Izuku will be going with you to their territory as a buddy. If you need anything from us just have him send us a message." my old hag stated, teary-eyed.

"Your mother is right, if you need us you only need to ask." my old man stated, firm as ever.

"Thank you, I'm…I'm sorry for being a handful." I mumbled, seeing both of my parents soften.

"Oh honey, it's normal for kids to be troublesome. It's what makes us love you so much, little bear." my old hag said, cupping my face gently with a smile.

Everything was slightly blurry as she pulled me into a hug, patting my back as she held me. My old man hugged both of us, sighing as we all stood there together. After a few minutes we all separated and my old hag wiped tears from my face that I didn't know had fallen, a gentle smile on her face.

"Our baby's all grown up now, go show those giants what you can do." she said, a challenging smile on her face.

"You got it mama." I replied, smirking.

-Kirishima's POV-

I noticed Katsuki over with his parents talking so I stayed with my mother. She was trying to straighten out my clothes, a smile on her face. She must have noticed me watching because she looked up and smiled lovingly. I smiled back at her and heard her chuckle, poking me in the stomach.

"Dork, your other mama will be here in just a moment. So you just stay out of trouble and get through this ceremony then we'll head home in three days." she explained, getting a nod from me.

"Don't worry ma, Katsuki seems more nervous than I am. I'm pretty excited about this, he's even cuter than I thought he'd be when the chief mentioned him." I stated, seeing her nod and hum.

"Eijirou! Get over here and give your mama a hug!" my other mother yelled, everyone turning to look at her.

She was almost as tall as me with pitch black hair, a slightly muscular figure. I walked over and got wrapped in a bear hug like usual, chuckling as she let go and held me at arms length. She turned to her wife, leaning down to kiss her, making a few people from our tribe whistle and holler. I couldn't help but smirk and cross my arms when my smaller mother (Ma) turned bright red and nuzzled into my taller mothers (Mama) side.

"So where's the lucky guy?" Mama asked, looking at me with an arm around Ma.

"He's over with his parents, you can't miss him, he's the only one with gold paint on him." I stated seeing her look around.

"He looks so fragile, guess we'll have to toughen him up a bit huh kiddo?" Mama asked, smiling and waving at Katsuki and his family.

"Mama, only if he wants to. I don't want him to be uncomfortable." I answered, seeing her nod in understanding.

"Excuse me, are you perhaps Kirishima's parents?" Katsuki's mom asked, sneaking up behind us.

"Yes we are, can we help you with anything?" Ma asked sweetly.

"I was just gonna let you all know that the ceremony will be starting soon, also it's a pleasure to meet you two." she answered politely.

"It's nice to meet you as well, would you mind if we spent time with you and your husband after they head off to…get busy?" Ma asked, glancing at me when she paused, making me blush.

"I'd love to have you over, it gives us a chance to get to know the people that raised our little bear's husband." she said with a smile.

I headed up to where I would be walking with Katsuki up to the altar, it was away from everyone else. Katsuki was already here with his father who glared at me as soon as I got there. I can understand that he wouldn't like me, based on what his wife said, they both cared for Katsuki more than they say.

"I'll leave you two now, we'll see you all after the ceremony." he stated, giving Katsuki a hug before glaring at me again and walking off.

"He really doesn't like you." Kat stated, looking up at me.

"Ya, can't really blame him. I did hurt his only son as a threat to him, I'd be mad if that happened to me." I said, seeing Kat think it over before nodding.

"Let's get this over with." he grumbled, grabbing my left arm and sticking close to me.

I smiled at him, waiting to hear the music start playing. We started walking towards the altar, everyone else watching carefully and without a sound. I could see most of my friends which was nice, my mothers were up at the end of the right table. Ma was in tears with a smile on her face while Mama was smiling and holding Ma.

-Bakugou's POV-

My folks were at the end of the table, everyone except the warriors and my old man in tears. Everyone looked happy as I walked arm in arm with Ei. I have to admit, we did probably look well together, he was a decent looking dumbass. Till annoying and kinda scary, but mostly like a giant puppy. When we finally made it up to the altar the shaman that had come from their tribe smiled at both of us.

"Welcome everyone to the union between these two people and the joining of two tribes in a period of peace." he started.

"Before we continue, is there anyone here with good reason that these two should not be joined today?" he asked, making me slightly nervous for some reason.

His question was met by only silence aside from the noises of the forest around us. When no one said anything by the time the shaman moved on to the next part of the ceremony I let out a sigh of relief. We had to stand there for a while now and listen to him chant over something and go through other steps.

By the time he started talking normally again Ei and I had a rope tied around our wrists, holding hands. We knelt down for the last things we had to do, drink after each other. It was just some juice from a local fruit with a bit of honey mixed in, a comfort drink of mine. I could tell that Ei wasn't too big of a fan which is fine with me.

"Rise and turn. Everyone please welcome the newest couple between our tribes." the shaman called out, everyone clapping as we stood and turned around the best we could.

"Let us now share a meal to celebrate!" he yelled, everyone cheering and going back to talking.

"What do you want, dumbass?" I asked, noticing Ei watching me as we went to a small table to eat.

"I just wanted to know if I could kiss you, now that we're married." he said, sounding like a question.

"Sure idiot, just don't go asking all the time." I grumbled, seeing him smile.

He leaned down and gently left a kiss on my lips. His were surprisingly soft against mine, leaving a small tingling feeling behind. He backed up afterwards and I nearly whined about it, barely catching myself from making the noise. I could feel a blush forming on my cheeks as I turned back to my food after a few seconds. For some reason I couldn't wait to get away from everyone here.
