"I want an active blessing please." This was a no brainer for Will. While a passive blessing might be good in the beginning he knew that passive skills only truly shined when they supported something, instead of being by themselves. Or at least that's what the novels lead him to believe. He was also rather surprised that this option was free, but far be it from him to complain.

"Holy crap," Will thought to himself. "These options all look crazy good. Makes it hard to figure out exactly what I want." Will then sat down and pondered about his choices. He had always been partial to Dragons, and Angels. His fantasy was basically to destroy evil and look super cool while doing it. Both of those races/bloodlines fit the bill.

Shaking his head a few times to clear it he thought, "Right now is not the time to get caught up in fantasy. I need to just go with what my instincts are telling me." After this he carefully looked over his options again and then decided on what to him, seemed the best combination.

Will was bouncing up and down he was so excited. Just the names of his blessings were so awesome he knew they had to be good, let alone the fact that they were both SSS grade. "Status!" He practically screamed it out unable to hold himself back, thankfully his adoptive parents were out. Other wise he would have had a hard time explaining to them what exactly happened.

(Dragon Roar)- Fire a condensed beam of thunder elements from your mouth at any target within 30ft dealing 150% magic damage and stunning the target for 1.5 seconds with a 30% chance.

(Thunder Cowl)- Chanel thunder elements through your body enhancing your movement speed and perception by 2x, and reducing damage taken by 10% for the duration of the skill.

Duration: 1 Minute

Cooldown: 10 Minutes

(Dragon's Wrath)- Temporarily channel the full might of your bloodline increasing all parameters by 5x for the duration of the skill. After the skill is over go into a weakened state for 4 hours.

Duration: 1 Minute

Cooldown: 1 Day

(Superior Body)- Your body is vastly superior to others of your kind. Reduces resources spent for physical activities by 50% and improves them by 25% your immune to all non magical diseases and your lifespan and recovery rate are tripled.

(Superior Mind)- Your mind is vastly superior to others of your kind. Reduces resources spent for mental activities by 50% and improves them by 25% your immune to all mental manipulations within your grade and have a 50% chance to resist those of 1 grade above you. Your memory, retention, and perception are tripled.

(Dragon Soul)- You have the soul of an Eternal ranked dragon, its powers are currently suppressed by your grade. Reduces resources spent for all spiritual/magical activities by 50% and improves them by 25% you resist 10% of all magical damage and are immune to soul attacks at your grade, with a 50% chance to resist those 1 grade above you. Your soul strength and mana pool are tripled.

Will was blown away by the raw power held within his blessing. He could confidently say he couldn't have wished for anything better. "I'll never have to worry about anything other than increasing my grade as these abilities will grow with me. And new abilities will probably surface as I grow stronger."

"I do wonder though why my status reads one in each category. With an op bloodline like this shouldn't it be higher?" He was right to think this way as every book he's ever read indicated that 1 was super low. What he failed to realize was that the trials had yet to officially begin. But he was about to get a very rude awakening.

'Ding!'

"Congratulations on the creation of your blessing. As it is a unique blessing built by you it still needs to be bonded to the host to become effective."

This was news to Will as he thought that after the system said it was created that it was active already. Huffing impatiently he directed his displeasure at the system stating.

"Then activate my blessing please."

"Request granted, initiating changes to the host body.

Warning: Failure to remain conscious could result in backlash, and even death."

"Wait what!" Will screamed at the system to hold on but it was too late. A horrendous pain suddenly assaulted him. It felt like snakes of lightning sprouted from his heart and ravaged his whole body. It started with his bones, crushing them fiercely only to rebuild them a moment later. Repeating this process several times until tiny arch's of lightning could be seen traveling across his bone structure. Carving strange runes into them that glowed with a silvery light.

After his bones were rebuilt it moved on to his muscles, tearing them apart fiber by fiber in a violent attempt to restructure his body to suit his blessing. While all this was going on Will couldn't conceive of anything happening around him. His whole being was focused on the pain of his changes. It was so intense he couldn't even scream and was locked in silent suffering as he thought that he would literally die from the pain alone.

He became convinced of this as his blood started to seep out of his skin, as the lightning expelled it in favor of the new blood that was being produced by his restructured bone marrow. The new blood was silverfish in color and seemed much more energetic than normal blood, as it moved much faster through his veins rupturing and remaking them in the process.

It all came to a climax when the lightning focused on his heart. The lightning ripped through this most important organ altering its structure. His heart grew larger and stronger with new valves and additional veins sprouting from it traveling throughout his body. He had no idea what they were for, as they entwined around and supported his original cardiovascular structure. But he was certain that they wouldn't be there for no reason.

The pain went on for what seemed like years but as it gradually faded, he began to get a glimpse of what he had become. A large silver heart beat furiously in his chest pumping what felt like electricity through his body. This didn't cause him any harm but was rather very energizing. He felt he could go on forever and never get tired. He had grown and now stood a little over 2 meters tall, and had a body packed with muscles that looked like steel cables.

His eyes had traces of silver light flashing through them and he felt that his mind had never been this clear in his life. The world looked entirely different now, and he felt that he was seeing it truly for the first time ever.

"This is great!" he shouted excitedly, "All that pain was worth it, though I hope I never have to go through that again!" He shuddered violently as he recalled the experience. Shaking his head to clear away the bad memories he focused in on his status again to see if there were any changes.
