"Get the stethoscope ready," one of the medical technicians advised.

"One, two, three, now," the technician with the stethoscope said.

"Thank God, the patient's heartbeat has returned," one of the medical technicians said.

"What happened to him?" one of the technicians inquired.

"He was hit by a car thrown by Homelander that was meant for the villain," one of the technicians explained.

"He's unlucky," said the lead technician.

Scene change -

"If you need anything else, just ring the bell, Mr. Hank," a nurse said to a patient who had a bandage wrapped around his head.

"Thank you, nurse," the patient said.

"All right, rest some more, but first, some people would like to meet you, Mr. Hank," she said as she exited the room, and two men dressed in black suits entered.

"Hello Mr. Hank, my name is Charles and this is my partner Jacob, we are from Vought," the two men said as they approached the patient, who just stared at them without saying anything.

"Everyone at vought is offering their condolences for the tragedy that befell you, but vought wants to do the right thing, so we not only pay for your hospital bill, but we also offer you $100,000 in restitution as long as you sign this," the men said as they handed the patient papers and a pen with a check.

"Look, we know what happened to you had a lot of impact on you but you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time," one of the men said, but he was cut off.

"I can barely feel the right side of my body and you say impact," the patient said, and if you could ignore the anger in his voice, you'd notice he had a nice voice.

"Your name is Curl Hank, you are 26 years old, an orphan who recently completed his education, your record is clean with no criminal history, and you are currently looking for a stable job," one of the men said.

"You don't want anything to happen to your records, do you?" said one of the men who stretched out the contract.

Vought was invented by Frederick Vought, a Nazi scientist who was appointed by Adolf Hitler as the head doctor at the Dachau concentration camp in 1939. Vought would conduct unethical research on human test subjects to create Compound V, which would transform humans into Supes.

They are now an international organization that destroys thousands of people's lives, either through their so-called superheroes who are worse than the actual villains or through their own hands, and you are a living example of this.

So, would you back down and do nothing, like any other civilian, or would you fight back and bring this PIOUS organization down once and for all?

Curl paused for a moment, he had too many questions now, where does this incarnation system come from, seeing all the panels that seem invincible to these guys but whether he was hallucinating or not, it didn't since he would rather believe in dreams than laying down and letting someone walk over him, if there is even a remote chance that this system is real, he would take it.

"Mr. Hank, are you here with me?" asked the man who had been polite the entire time.

"I accept," was all that curl said, bringing a smile to the man's face, but they had no idea he wasn't talking to them. The men left after signing the agreement, leaving curl to this incarnation system.
