It's Stolen?

Rose didn't dare to contact her boss before trying her best to find out the check. She raised her head frantically as she glanced around on the floor. Her frowned expression made the policeman bewildered as he glanced at her.

He couldn't help himself when the girl continued to look through the ground. "What're you doing?"

"I lost something important." The expression on Rose's face turned bitter as if she were just about to cry hard.

The policeman became anxious. "Do-Don't cry!" After that, he started searching for the thing after asking what it was! It turns out it had been a check! He was so shocked that his limbs trembled while he searched on the ground.

After a moment, he frowned as if he had just remembered something. His head raised, and he looked at his subordinates. "Find that man in black robes!"

Everyone understood what was going on. Even Rose, who was anxious, realized what the police officer had said. It could be that the man dressed in black robes had perhaps ended up stealing the check!

The girl's eyes widened. She looked in the direction where the man dressed in black went. A few officers also rushed in that direction as the policeman standing beside her comforted her. "Don't worry. We have surveillance in this area. We'll help you find your check. Come with me."

Rose nodded as she followed the man. They had a clothing store nearby with a camera at the front door. It might have recorded everything that had happened just now.

The two of them entered the place as the officers rushed to find the man covered in black. Officer managed to get the recordings as they started to view them in the office.

The scene unfolded in front of their eyes in slow motion: Rose had just been following the officer when the man in a black robe hit her body suddenly. Now when they both watched it in slow motion, they realized that the man had deliberately turned so that his body would end up hitting Rose.

Then the police officer saw his hand reaching out to Rose's pockets and taking something out sneakily as if that person knew what was hiding in her pants. After that, he bolted as fast as he could. At a distance, the police officer even saw the black robe being thrown in the dustbin while the man was hiding in the crowd. No matter how they squinted their eyes, they couldn't see his face!

The officer cursed under his breath as he glared at the screen. After that, he nodded at the shop owner and said to Rose, "We will have to find other surveillance cameras in that area. Don't worry. You can file the complaint, and we'll do our best to find the money for you."

Rose didn't feel relaxed at all. The moment she heard the officer's words, she couldn't help but freeze. After what felt like a long time, she nodded and walked out of the building in a daze.

What should she do now? Her boss would be in big trouble. To pay off the debt, Julia had forced herself to marry the Alpha, who had been rumored to be so ruthless that he would kill the criminals right on the spot in the most brutal way possible.

The assistant reached for her car, which was surprisingly still in the same place even when the keys were attached. No one seemed to want to take it away even after seeing how expensive this vehicle was!

The assistant couldn't help but frown as she thought of this. Just then, as she was standing beside the car in a daze, she got a call. It was Julia.

The girl hesitated for a bit before she sighed and accepted the call. "Boss…"

Her tone felt aggrieved. Julia frowned. "What's wrong?"

"Someone stole the check!" Rose proceeded to tell her boss about everything that had happened until now. After explaining the details, Rose's eyes were filled with tears. She was on the verge of crying. "What should I do?"

Julia was silent for a while. She still hasn't registered that someone knew that Rose was carrying money on her and stole it so easily. Why? How come the thief attacked only Rose and no one else?

She pursed her lips, but she couldn't find an answer. The more she thought about how one million money was stolen, the more she felt her heart being crushed by someone. She opened her mouth and ordered. "Contact the bank. Quick!"

The bank would probably have an idea about what to do in such a situation!

After they both hung up the call, Julia leaned on the couch she was sitting on inside the recording studio full of musical equipment. Since things had gone out of her hands, it would be better to tell Victor about it and ask for his help.

She immediately called the man. The latter picked up instantly, but his voice carried a hint of impatience this time. "What?"

"I need your help."

"I'm busy. Contact my assistant." After saying that, the man didn't give the girl even a second to explain herself when he hung up the call.

Julia was stunned. She slowly lowered her phone and glared at the screen that had turned blank.
