Visiting the Bradfords
Alastair looked out of the windowpane, taking in the familiar route that led to Soren. He had walked by this path many times but never had he felt the route to be this long. All he wanted was to use his powers and go to the girl, who was slowly capturing his heart.
After his small talk with his father the previous night, Alastair had realized why he was having these bizarre feelings and why he was attracted to her. All night, he had been thinking about Samantha, wishing to have her in his arms. His longing for her had heightened once he realized his feelings that were budding slowly.
Alastair smiled, recalling the feel of her body in his arms in the library. But it soon turned to a chuckle when he remembered how Samantha had run away from him, fear apparent on her face. His laughter made Cyrus and Kenneth turn to him with questioning gazes. However, Alastair did nothing to ease their confusion.
