Saviour - Part 2

Ragnar kept rubbing Samantha's hands while he called her, trying to wake her up from her slumber. But the lady remained unresponsive. Scared, he glanced at his son who seemed to have gone into a state of total hibernation. It did not seem like he was hurt in any way. His expression was peaceful and lucid as though he was just sleeping.

"Alastair, Samantha, please wake up. Please." Ragnar cried. He was utterly helpless and he was on the verge of tears.

"Alastair...." He took his son's name again, only to stop when he saw Alastair's fingers moving lightly. "Yes, yes, Alastair, wake up." He smiled amidst his worry and scooted closer to his son as he kept rubbing Samantha's hands, which were still as cold as ice. "I am here, Alastair. Wake up, son."

Ragnar looked at Alastair hopefully and when he saw his son's eyes fluttering softly, he could not control his smile. He beamed in joy and relief and nodded frantically as he waited for him to wake up.
