Magic in hands

Alastair came face to face with the girl who had occupied his mind for the last few days. His eyes were fixed on her greenish-blue hues and he forgot everything at once. He had never seen anything so beautiful and mesmerizing. They were the most gorgeous eyes and he immediately felt himself being sucked into her deep and soulful gaze. The more he looked into those green orbs, the more he felt drawn towards her. He did not even see her face except for her eyes and he was already bewitched.

He was so captivated by those eyes, that he did not even notice the girl's face that had become as pale as a ghost. The next second, her eyes rolled and she collapsed right in his arms. A loud crash reverberated in the room and the jug in the girl's hand had slipped and now it was lying at his feet. The water from it spilled everywhere and splashed onto his trousers drenching it to some extent.

Alastair did not care about his trousers, they were just meant for one-time use. He would not be wearing them again after today. He was more interested in the girl who lay quietly in his arms with her eyes shut tight. He took in her beautiful form, only then did Alastair sense her condition and his heartbeat spiked up in shock. She looked nothing less than a corpse and if not for her slow but shallow breathing, he would have assumed her to be dead.

The girl looked sick yet it could not hide her angelic beauty. She looked exquisite and Alastair was more than happy to hold her in his arms. It felt so surreal and seemed the most perfect thing to do. It was as though she was meant to stay in his arms forever and he experienced tingles just thinking about it.

However, there were more pressing matters to attend to rather than feeling other things. He had to make sure that the girl was okay. The next instant, he carried her princess style and laid her on the huge king-sized bed in the room. The room was dark with no lights entering in, but to Alastair this was nothing. His vision was extraordinary and he could see things that many people could not. It was no wonder that he had seen those enchanting eyes even in utter darkness.

After lying her down on the bed and making sure that she was comfortable, he snapped his fingers and all the candles in the room lit up at once, illuminating the chamber he was in. His eyes immediately raked over her small face and took in her features. She seemed so serene and angelic with the way she was sleeping peacefully. Her pink delectable lips looked quite captivating and Alastair had a sudden urge to find out how they tasted.

Unknowingly, his hand had reached towards her forehead and the moment, he touched her, he could feel sparks in his body. Once again, his eyes shone brightly and took a gorgeous shade of amber before it went back to normal. The most surprising thing that happened during this time was that the girl, who was lying down silently, arched her body suddenly startling Alastair. He now panicked seeing her state and immediately held her hands to calm her down.

It seemed as though his touch had magic in them. The next instant, the girl went back to sleep peacefully. There was nothing wrong with her except for the fact that her body had turned a little too cold and her breathing was shallow. Alastair wanted to continue being by her side until she woke up. But his thoughts vanished when the door to the room creaked and another girl who seemed to be of the same age as the woman before him and dressed in a similar attire entered in, her eyes cautious and scared.

Alastair was irked at being disturbed. Yet, he could do nothing, not especially when he was being in somebody else's house. Moreover, he was with a girl who seemed to be unmarried and in a closed room. This would only call out for rumors which he did not mind. But he did want not the innocent girl's reputation to be ruined for no fault of hers. So, before the maid could see him, he teleported to a dark place in the room. Nobody could see him now and he could see everybody and everything from where he was, especially the girl who had intrigued him the most.

The maid, who had entered slowly, stopped suddenly seeing the figure lying on the bed and the next instant, she rushed to her, her face masked with worry. "Samantha," She cried out loud, panicked to see the girl lying down without any response. She quickened her steps and went to her to see what was wrong with her. She called her name a few more times only to meet the same result. She then touched her forehead to see if she had a fever. But to her horror, the girl's body was as cold as ice.

The maid rubbed her hands to give her some warmth and on seeing that there were no improvements in her, she ran out to call someone for help. Alastair was looking at whatever was happening silently, his eyes not leaving the unconscious girl. His lips had subconsciously quirked up when the maid had called out the girl's name.

"Samantha," He muttered under his breath and he loved how it rolled off his tongue. The name was awesome just like the girl herself and he had been waiting patiently for the maid to step outside so that he could take a look at the interesting girl. He knew there was nothing wrong with her except that her body temperature was a little low. She just needed some warmth and when he was here, there was nothing to worry about.

When the maid left the room in a hurry, Alastair made his way towards the bed and observed Samantha's features once again. To say he was dumbstruck would be an understatement with the way he was feeling right now. There was an invisible pull which made him want to look at her more and even want to touch her more. He had never felt like this towards any other woman and he wondered why.

He sat down beside her on the bed and ran his fingers on her cheeks and this time, the girl did not give any reaction. Seeing that, Alastair held her hand and rubbed it lightly, and slowly but surely, the girl's temperature returned to normal. It seemed as though there was magic in his hands. The girl who was lying still on the bed, except for the movement of her body when she breathed, suddenly opened her eyes and looked straight at Alastair, taking him by a storm completely.
