Chapter 74: Sephiria Vs Cedric II

Looking out to the battle that was happening infront of them, Shun seemed skeptical about it as he observed how Cedric fought with Sephiria
"It seemed like this guy called Cedric will win" said Yuumi who suddenly popped up beside Shun
"Well yeah! But I'm not going to ask how you just popped up out of nowhere" said Shun blankly
"Obliged" replied Yuumi
After that shun said
"Well looks like for some reason Cedric has his own circumstances of why he doesn't want Sephiria to always depend on me all the time when doing and deciding stuff for her" said Shun
"Is it?" Asked Yuumi
"Well... A little bit, she's quite dependable on me... But I don't think it's that bad"
"I know that! After all we depended on you summoning us and making use of us as summoned champions" said Yuumi
"Right? But it seems like the story is deeper than you think... Aren't you curious about why Cedric always feel agitated when Sephiria let other people decides for her?" Asked Shun with a smirk
Hearing that Yuumi also smiled
"Detective time?"

On the battlefield below Sephiria quickly tapped three time unto the ground as she casted three magic circles and combined each spells strength into one
"Elemental turbulent!!!"
With a burst Sephiria fired off her spell horizontally towards Cedric
In response instead of running away, Cedric further thickens the Mana on his conjured sword as he concentrated further deep into his thoughts
"Space slicer!!!"
With an upward slash Cedric successfully split Sephiria's spell into half and also providing a counter-attack spell
Seeing that Sephiria immediately tumbled to the side as she held unto her cloak
But Cedric didn't let go of this opportunity as he stepped up and zoomed towards her at a high speed, quickly arriving beside her which surprised the latter
With a slash Cedric expected the match to end just like that, but once again Sephiria tumbled forward in a different direction this time while making a small counter by the tip of her finger
"Ice needle!"
With that she shot out little bits of ice spells directly at his face
Without thinking much about it he quickly tilted his head to the side, unfortunately that lag time was enough for Sephiria to cast a highly explosive spell
"Flame burst!"
With a blast a huge flame spell completely engulfed Cedric's silhoutte which also provided a scorching hot temperature that made other students to profusely swear buckets
Due to that Cedric had no choice but to defend only by using brute strength as he got pushed away by the sudden force of Sephiria's attack
"I haven't gone idle Cedric! I've become stronger than before" said Sephiria
"True! But if you don't defeat me now, then you'll never be able to survive!" Retorted Cedric
Hearing that Sephiria asked
"I've been noticing it till now but why do you always say that I won't survive? I'm still well and alive you know" said Sephiria
"Of course I know, but even though I explain it to you, will you understand it? Of course not" retorted Cedric
At that he condensed another Mana surge on his sword as sent a destructive force of an attack
"Sky splitter!!!"
With an absurd amount of Mana which was impossible to begin with, Cedric created a huge attack that only high class warrior's can do
His attack was full of killing intent that it felt like he has somehow experienced multiple life and death situation
Seeing that overwhelming force, Sephiria inturn decided to counter it with her own strongest spell, seemingly noticing it as her only choice even though it will drain her a lot just by casting it
Raising her staff as wind flutters her robe, Sephiria casted a complicated spell at an incredible speed as the formation somehow was fastly forming from the tip of her staff
"Condensing magic: Frost Bite!!!"
With a sudden surge her spell quickly assaulted Cedric's attack as it collided against each other and splinters of ice spreads and scatters everywhere
As ice continues to encroach upon it, the Mana surge however continues to break it causing two polar reacting variant to continue their battle of attrition
Bit since Cedric's attack was an independent spell he in turn made a huge turn towards Sephiria as he struck out his condensed sword and aimed straight at her
"I've always seen that coming, since Shun always do that" muttered Sephiria as she smirks"
With tap of her foot, a formation so big suddenly emerged from her feet as she applied magic unto that formation
"Attribute space application: Frozen world!!!"
With a sudden burst a cold atmospheric pressure suddenly engulfed the whole arena as the once dry land quickly turned into a whole ice world wherein only ice was existent on such place
Since this spell uses a lot of Mana just to activate it, most magicians in trunk fainted after using this or worse die
But since Sephiria has an unusual huge Mana pool she can cast such complicated spell like this without fainting at all
But since she casted two complicated spells in one match her Mana pool was already below average as she was endangered to Mana deficiency
Due to that right after casting such spell, Sephiria's complexion suddenly turned pale as she breath heavily from both exhaustion and coldness
When the referee thought the match was over, he eventually raised his hand as he tries to end it, but suddenly a huge quake reverbrated the earth a cracks started to form from the frozen figure of Cedric
With an explosion the sudden surge of Mana that was so huge and incomparable suddenly assaulted everyone, such Mana could even rival the strongest mages in the folktales of this world where supreme mages existed
Soon his Mana suddenly condensed around his sword as it eventually formed into a much more exquisite and precise designed than an ordinary blade of light

With a loud thud the huge sword of Damocles seemed to emit a pressure that even shook some of Yuumi's baby fats while it suddenly flutters Shun's hair
When everyone was stunned by this move that was equal to real life expert, Sephiria was somehow feeling the air of dread as she thought that she was gonna lose

Seeing that Cedric lifted the huge sword as he shouldered it and started to retract it's size into a thin sword as he suddenly swung it while at the same time casting it's skill magic
"Skill magic: Reality Breaker!!!"
Just as it name implies as if there was a crack on the void, Sephiria's spell suddenly stopped moving midair before cracks appeared unto it and desintegrated completely into the void
After that a shockwave assaulted her which slammed her right to the front as if truck was suddenly slammed against her
With a crash to the wall she in turn lost her consciousness as she closes her eyes and apologized to Shun under her tired breath
Towering over her Cedric cold glint eyes which seemed like the eyes of an oppressor suddenly muttered below
"I win Sephiria... Just as I had thought, this was the only level you could reach after all of this" he said before walking away
Soon medics came in as a thirty minute break ensued to give time for medics to attend the needs on the injured students
As Aria, Wendy, and other capture targets went to Sephiria's ward, Shun on the other hand went to where Cedric is and saw him m standing unto the balcony looking down unto the arena that was being fixed
"I knew it that you would be here"
"Shun? I guess your here to tell me that Sephiria can improve after this" deducted Cedric
"Oh! I would've like to say that but I'm sure that your just going to retort whatever I say" said Shun
"Well atleast your smart"
"Not always"
"So what do you want?" Asked Cedric
"What do I want? You ask?" Pondered Shun as he thought about it
"Simply I want to hear why you think Sephiria shouldn't trust people easily" said Shun
Hearing that Cedric begun to laugh as he turns and patted his shoulder
"Do you want something that would bother you?"
"Try me" replied Shun
"That trust your saying? Cause of that trust that she inputted, it actually was the cause of her death"
Hearing that Shun's eyes widened, he couldn't even say a single word until Cedric revealed an even more of a shocker
"37... . . I witnessed her die right infront of my eyes 37 times by the people she trusted and depended"
