Don't leave me

At first, I was confused but then, memories began flooding in, and then that voice became as clear as day.

'It's him, Mr. Oh the old man from that little town that took care of Shin Suri'.

"Mr. Oh?"

"Hahaha, I'm so glad you recognized my voice. How are you doing?"

I smiled at how energetic he was sounding.

"I'm very okay. How did you get my number?"

"I have a friend in the mall you just bought. He maneuvered and helped me get your number".

"Oh really, and who is this friend?"

He didn't say anything for a while and I thought he wasn't hearing me anymore.

"Hello, Mr. Oh. Are you still there?"

"Huh? Ohh yes yes, what were we saying again?"

"I asked who gave you my number".

"Ohh well, it's just someone. Sorry I can't tell you. You might fire him".

"Ohh no I...."

"I have to go now, I'll call you again very soon".

After saying that, the lines got disconnected and I kept staring at the screen of my phone.

"What's that? What's wrong with him?"

I asked still looking at my phone and tilting my head as though it would help me get any clue. Just then, I heard a knock on the door. I was beginning to wonder who would come to my room so late at night. When I got to the door and opened it to see who it was, I stood frozen and my heart began to misbehave.

It took a while before I could speak but when I finally did, he interrupted me.

"Lu Jinho, what..."

"Can I sleep here tonight?"

Here he goes again. When I met Lu Jinho for the first time, he looked unapproachable but now, he looked like a big baby.

I didn't know what was making me smile but I knew I was smiling.

"Did I say something funny"?

"No, come inside".

It was after I allowed him in that I began to think about how stupid I can be sometimes.

'Waah, impressive. Why did I let him in?'

"Don't let your imaginations run wild, I'm just going to sleep".

"If that's the case then why aren't you sleeping in your room?"

He looked at me for a minute and then turned around and went to the bed. He tucked himself in and faced the other side so I couldn't see his face.

"Goodnight".

I raised my brow and placed my hands on my waist.

'I guess he really just wants to sleep. Good then, I don't have to worry too much'.

I got on the bed and also faced the other side so I wouldn't see him. After a while, I finally drifted to sleep.

Lu Jinho was wide awake but he didn't move an inch. After a while, he heard her steady breathing and knew she was fast asleep.

Actually, the reason why he came to her room this night was because of a conversation he had with Kay and Yu Lei a few days back on a business trip.

"So, Yu Lei has gotten his own girl, what about you Jinho, why is it taking you so long?"

"Mind your own business single man".

Yu Lei began laughing as he was in the room with them as well.

"Yeah, yeah, you can tease me all you want. That aside, I've been meaning to ask you. Have you witnessed any changes? Probably in your sleeping disorder or anything else".

Lu Jinho who was currently drinking a glass of wine stopped halfway and looked at his friend.

"Why would you ask me that all of a sudden?"

"I don't know if I'm right, but you look like you had a very good night. You don't look tired or uneasy at all".

Yu Lei also nodded in agreement. They both notice that Lu Jinho looked a little more alive than he use to.

"I never look tired".

"You do, although you mask it pretty well so no one can notice. So tell me, what did you do that was a bit different".

Lu Jinho thought about it and then he remembered that he wanted to ask Kay this question but didn't know how to bring it up. He rested his back on the chair while crossing his leg and looking very comfortable and cold as usual then he asked.

"Well..., does sleeping with someone count?"

Both men looked at him while blinking their eyes in astonishment. Kay didn't know what to say at all.

"Uhhh....."

That was all that could come out of his mouth but Yu Lei said exactly what was on his mind.

"You had sex with someone?"

Lu Jinho was taken aback so he spilled out some of the wine he had already sipped.

"Hell no, what the hell are you thinking? I just slept on the same bed with her that's it".

Both men looked at each other and began laughing really hard. It was hard to get Yu Lei to laugh but he's been in a really good mood lately and his friend was acting like a teenage boy going through puberty. It was funny as it never happened before.

"I'm being serious Kay, if you don't know the answer then you should quit being a doctor".

Kay tried to stop himself from laughing and after a while, he finally answered.

"Well, it is possible. If you get really comfortable around someone, it's possible to let your guard down and let your brain shut down on its own. But it's also possible that it's a mere coincidence and you were just really tired but she happened to be right next to you".

"I don't think that's it".

"Then try again".

They both looked at Yu Lei who was the person who just spoke. Waiting for him to continue, Yu Lei sat properly and continued.

"Well, if you really believe she is the reason why you are able to sleep soundly, you have to try again to find out".

Lu Jinho was beginning to doubt if that was truly the case as he still wasn't able to sleep even though he was right beside her. He decided that it was pointless staying in her room since it wasn't working so he tried getting up to leave but just then, she held his hand so tight.

"Don't leave me".
