Going somewhere

At first, Lu Jinho was surprised by how she sounded. She sounded really different from her normal self. Usually, she sounded like she didn't care much about anything or anyone and she wasn't scared of anything but not this time.

This time around, she sounded like she was scared of something and though he was happy to see another side of her, he was a little bit worried.

He laid back down and held her a little closer. After a few minutes, he had fallen asleep. Lu Jinho didn't wake up till late the next morning and neither did Shin Suri.

When he woke up, the sun was already shining brightly inside the room. He kept looking at her and for a moment, he realized that she was very cute and tiny in the early hours of the morning.

He admired her for a while but when he noticed her brow creasing, he pretended to be asleep.

I woke up only to see that I was once again in Lu Jinho's arms.

"Aishh, why do I always end up like this? Why why why?"

I immediately closed my mouth hoping my noise didn't wake him up and luckily for me, he wasn't moving at all. I wanted to stand up and go to the bathroom but then, I, unfortunately, looked at his face.

"Oh my, how can someone look this good so early in the morning? This is plain evil".

I kept staring at him but then, I noticed a side of his lips lift up my eyes opened wide and I tried to stand up immediately but he pulled me and because of the effects, I fell right on his chest.

My big eyes were staring right into his clear ones. It's obvious he didn't just wake up.

"Going somewhere?"

"Huh? Uhhh, I just want to go and wash my face".

He kept looking at me and after a while, he smiled.

"You don't have to go anywhere, I'm leaving".

He took me off of his body gently and left. I didn't know what to say to him so I just let him go. After he left, I finally came back to my senses.

"Wahhh, I can't believe this. He probably heard everything I said right? No, there's no way he heard me. He didn't hear me".

I said and walked into the bathroom.

When I came downstairs, he had already gone to work so I decided to get dressed and go shopping to take my mind off him.

After Lu Jinho left for work, he got a call from his aunty demanding to see him for something that sounded important so he planned a late breakfast meeting with her in a nice but reserved restaurant.

"Hello Lu Jinho, it's been a while".

She said and stood up to peck him on the cheek.

"Same here aunty Quin, what seems to be the issue? It's weird for you to call me out like this".

She pointed towards the chair implying that he take his seat and she took her's as well.

"Why? Can't I want to have lunch with my nephew?"

Saying all these lines, she looked extremely cold and had no affection on her face at all. She began taking her coffee bit by bit as though she was waiting for him to say something. But he was quiet and waited for her to say what she had to say quickly.

She looked at him with her cup still lifted to her mouth and then sighed. She dropped the cup on the table and looked at him seriously.

"We are having a serious family gathering in two days. I expect you will be there by tomorrow and bring your girlfriend along".

"So suddenly? Why if I may ask. If it's a family meeting then I don't see why I have to bring her along".

She smirked in a way that looked like she was saying 'I wasn't asking for your opinion'.

"Are you ashamed of her?"

She didn't wait for him to answer and said what she had to say next.

"If not, bring her with you tomorrow".

After saying this, she stood up and walked out of the building. Lu Jinho already knew that she didn't want to see him out of mere courtesy but now that she mentioned Shin Suri, he couldn't help but feel like something was wrong.

Lu Jinho and his aunt Quin Li have never been close. She didn't look like a bad person but she also didn't care about anyone, not even her own child. She wanted everything done in perfection and if she notice the slightest imperfection from someone, she stays away as much as possible.

After his parents died, Lu Jinho became clumsy and scared. It lasted for a short while because he matured quickly but she already saw him as a weakling so she kept her distance. At least that was how everyone thought she was.

When Lu Jinho got home, he went to Shin Suri's room but she wasn't there. Since he was stressed out, he decided to take a quick shower but then, he heard noises coming from his training room so he went to check.

When he got there, he saw Shin Suri fight with two daggers and she looked like she knew how to use them just fine. She was immensed in the training, changing weapons after weapons and she handled all of them perfectly. Lu Jinho just kept watching her as he found her quite fascinating.

After a while, she came out of the training room and picked up one of the small towels to clean off her sweat. When she came out, she saw Lu Jinho standing right in front of her.

"Uhhh? How long were you standing there for?"

He sighed and placed his once folded hands into his pocket.

"Well, not too long ago. Just long enough to know that I don't have to be too worried about you".

She smiled a little so it wouldn't be obvious and then looked at him again.

"What brings you here by the way, are you here to train or to see me?"

"I'm here to talk to you".

She stood straight trying to listen.

"We are traveling tomorrow".
