Zhu Jia was itching to turn her head and glare as much as she wanted at her Madam, Anna but because she was already under punishment by the head maid, Zhu Jia was forced to lower her head.
Zhu Jia now had hatred in her heart for Anna and this time it was a feeling stronger than the feeling she felt towards Wei Yan.
Zhu Jia visualized herself treating Anna viciously and enjoying the moment of misery Anna was going through in her imagination.
'I must see you suffer from my own hands, Madam. You'll pay for spoiling my name in front of Master George'
Zhu Jia whispered to herself and this seemed to be a promise she was making to herself.
The next moment, Zhu Jia walked away, following the head maid as she believed that they had a conversation to share about what had just happened.
Wei Yan had to leave the room and follow her boss because she was ordered to and that was supposed to be her duty.
When Wei Yan settled in Madam's room, she stayed silent for a while because of her boss's silence.
"Take Anna with you, she needs to prepare for the day," George's voice broke the silence.
"Yes, Master," Wei Yan said, announcing to her Master that she heard his command.
Wei Yan was also relieved and grateful to her boss for not bringing up the topic of her being bullied by her colleagues. It would have been a hassle to explain without making her colleagues look bad.
Wei Yan pushed Madam's chair into the bathroom and closed the door behind them gently.
Anna was quiet until Wei Yan finished helping her to wash up. Wei Yan opened the closet, planning to ask Madam about the outfit she would want for the day.
Anna looked into the closet and recalled some of Anna's memories. Anna loved to design and make dresses. She was famous because of her passion and talent.
But this time, Anna's passion had changed and she would be famous because she was determined to find justice for herself.
"Why are you acting like a complete fool to your mate, especially to Zhu Jia?" Anna suddenly asked, ignoring Wei Yan's question about the dress she wanted to wear.
"Madam," Wei Yan sighed in front of Anna for the first time, letting her shoulders down.
"Are you scared?" Anna asked, recognizing the feeling consuming Wei Yan just by her expression and reaction.
Wei Yan glanced at Madam with worried eyes. "Yes," she answered, her heart feeling heavy. "I can't do anything about it, Madam. Zhu Jia is also a good person, she's just…"
"What are you planning to tell me?" Anna interrupted Wei Yan as she could already tell that the young lady before her was planning to lie to her.
"I've heard Zhu Jia talk bad about you and I've seen how cunning she can be so tell me, Wei Yan, what are you planning to say to cover up everything I've heard and seen?" Anna finally glued Wei Yan in the tight spot she found herself in.
Wei Yan shook her head, displaying how uncomfortable she was. From the look of it, Anna could tell that Wei Yan was finding it very hard to express herself to her.
"Do you feel like if you tell me what there is for me to know which is nothing but the truth, it will appear as if you've betrayed your mates?" Anna caught Wei Yan's attention abruptly.
And this is because Anna just explained exactly how Wei Yan was feeling. "You are not feeling very well, Madam. It would be very selfish of me if I bother you with my personal problems," Wei Yan uttered, turning to face the closet.
"Alright," Anna agreed because after thinking it through, she realized that she would behave the same way. Anna would also find it hard to admit it because, to Wei Yan, she might not appear trustworthy.
With time, things will change.
"I'll have that long-fitted black gown," Anna said. She tried to lift her hand but even after she did, she got exhausted in no time.
George had been waiting in the room for Anna. And while he was waiting, he called Doctor Zhao to know when he'd arrive with the therapist.
Doctor Zhao made it clear that he'd be around the villa by noon or afternoon.
George understood and hung up but when Anna was pushed out of the bathroom by Wei Yan, he received a call and drifted his gaze down to his phone, thinking it was Doctor Zhao but it wasn't. It was Miss Jessica.
George smiled and walked over to the window. "Hi, Jessica," he uttered after answering the call.
Anna and Wei Yan heard his voice and figured that George was talking to a woman.
"Is that so?"
Anna heard George. He had been so casual with the lady he was talking to but why should she even care about his activities?
George eventually ended the call with a bright smile on his face. Anna and Wei Yan watched him turn to them.
Wei Yan stayed blank for a moment because even though it was nasty for her to admire her boss, she just couldn't help it.
'Oh, Madam is so lucky to have such a beautiful man, his smile is overwhelming and dreamy. How can a man be this handsome?'
Wei Yan, however, composed herself and looked away before walking out of the room when she felt it was needed.
George sat on the bed, staying close to Anna who was scanning him as if he had just committed a crime.
Anna stayed quiet even though she had so many questions to ask, while George went through his phone.
Anna wondered why he didn't pay attention to her or ask her what she wanted to eat. George was just focusing on his phone.
'I wish I could walk already because I hate how dependent I am on this man. I thought he truly loved Anna so why isn't he paying attention to her?'
Anna turned her gaze away from him and waited in that spot like a fool. 'I hate this and I wonder who Jessica is and what she said to make him so happy and lost in his phone. Does George have a girlfriend? And why would he lie that he loves Anna?'
Soon, Anna couldn't take in the silence anymore, so she turned her gaze to George only to see that he had dropped his phone.
"Come on, let's go to a restaurant before Doctor Zhao arrives," George announced but his statement didn't stop Anna from asking her question.
"Is Jessica your girlfriend?" Her question was sudden and most especially unexpected by George, so he replied with laughter.
