19. Who was this man?
'They didn't only break me by killing my father, planning to kill me after getting married to Wang Lixin just for my fortune, having an affair behind me but they also murdered my best friend and accused me'

Tears were streaming like a cascade of water on Anna's face as she bowed her head.
George couldn't bear to watch her sob without trying to console her. He gripped her hands really tight.
"Wanna hear me play?" He suddenly asked.
Anna shook her head but George ignored her response and stood up. He went behind Anna and pushed her chair out of the room.
Anna was so immersed in her world that she didn't care about where George took her.
"I play the piano so well and I want to impress you with my performance, I hope I also help you ease the pain in your heart," George mentioned on the way to where he was taking her.
Anna kept on wondering why all these unfortunate things had to happen. She had thought that her beloved father died because of his illness but he was actually murdered by his second wife.
It felt as if Anna was lifeless. She didn't even know when George stopped moving her chair until he held her face.
"Look at me, Anna," he whispered, stroking her face with his thumbs but when Anna looked at him, she only grimaced her face, crying like a baby.
George was pushed to wrap her and when he did, his smell suffused her nose, filling her stomach with the fragrance surrounding her like fog.
Anna was tempted to break down in his arms and find more solace in his big body which appeared to be overly capable of warming her.
"I'm okay, George. Stop being…"
George, however, cut her off. "It's okay to be weak, especially when you are with me," George said.
"How do you expect me to trust you? Come to think of it, how were you able to save me without Wang Lixin catching you?" Anna questioned and her tone announced to George how strict she was to know his answer.
George pushed back and wiped Anna's tears. "I guess I won't be playing the piano just yet," he said.
They were in the space that led to the back door. The door was wide and was made of glass. It was also opened, making Anna view the garden. This garden in this area led one into the woods.
The space was occupied with some musical instruments. And beside them was the piano.
Anna couldn't drink so the attempt to call for a juice was terminated.
George sat close to Anna with her hands in his warmly.
"That evening, I retired from work and decided to check on you before going home but when I reached close to your house, Anna. I met Shen Xiang's sister walking away from your house.
It seemed strange so I approached the high school student but she seemed scared of me. She burst into tears immediately and began to run away.
Fortunately, I was able to catch up with her and console her. I made it clear to her that I wouldn't harm her.
Shen Xiang's sister disclosed to me that she was being watched by someone in her house and that's why she came to see you.
She also explained that her sister was killed. Shen Xiang's kidnapper then called her sister and while they were conversing, Shen Xiang mentioned that she was being captured by the camera.
This apparently means that Shen Xiang's killer has footage of her death and the video would also reveal who killed your best friend but we still don't know who killed her exactly.
After finding this out, I sent my assistant to escort the high school student to my house to ensure her safety.
She kept on saying that her sister was killed. "I believe you." I had to tell her that.
Suddenly you rushed out of your house with your car. I had to follow you but I lost track. However, I was able to eventually find you and you were at Wang's office.
I went to your car but you were not in there so I waited for you.
Unfortunately, you came out of the building, looking horrified. Believe me when I say that I was going to get you but before I could get out of my car, you got hit by someone you knew because your eyes widened at the sight of the car.
You were surprised and…not surprised. I was triggered to confront Wang Lixin but then I remembered that I was alone and what Shen Xiang's sister told me.
I didn't trust Wang from the beginning and you know it so I wondered what he'd do after trying to kill you.
Some men came to help clean up while I followed Wang. He wasn't aware.
I called for backup of course but I didn't call the police because I believe Wang Lixin would be able to turn the table.

Old man Chen had also strictly warned me about him. Wang dumped your body in a dirty river. I was so angered that I just wanted to go over to him and kill him.

Anna didn't mean to interrupt even though they were having a serious discussion, but she just had to correct him. "I wasn't your woman, Master George."

George only smiled. "She isn't crying anymore," he said in a singsong tone.

Anna was dumbstruck when she realized that the man sitting next to her and holding her hands was able to stop her from crying even when he was telling her something to bother about.
