"Ahh!" She suddenly sat up and looked around the room. She needed to look in the mirror to know what she looked like before concluding that she was... that she was in another person's body. The thought made her gasp, but then she turned to climb off the bed. However, her legs failed her, and she fell on the floor. "Ahh!" In pain, she reacted. The man wearing the black suit rushed to her. "Anna," he worriedly mentioned her name. "Didn't you hear what the doctor said?" He frowned. "What...?" 11. A maid unknown to her

Wei Yan was still watching her Madam when Master George walked in.

Seeing her Master, Wei Yan stood up immediately and went to stand close to him as George signaled to her to come closer.

"Anna told me about making you her personal maid," George started and Wei Yan could foretell where he was going.

"She wouldn't have chosen you if she doesn't trust you and I can also testify to how good you are at your work so, Wei Yan, I'm trusting you with Anna. Please take care of her and I'll increase your pay in return.

I won't be around all the time, in fact, I'll be leaving in two hours so I leave Anna in your care. Don't let me down," George gently placed his hand on Wei Yan's shoulder.

George was, of course, Wei Yan's boss but he believed that asking politely, especially in this situation, was better and more favorable than ordering.

George didn't fully trust Wei Yan with Anna's life so he had to beg her to cooperate and hoped that she considered his action.

Wei Yan nodded her head and bowed. "I'll do my best, Master!" This was the simple statement Wei Yan could let out as the only way she could prove herself to her Master was through her actions.

"That's good. Anna will start her therapy soon so get ready," George informed Wei Yan as he watched Anna.

"What do you mean, Master?" Wei Yan appeared to be a bit confused about getting ready when it was her Madam who would be receiving therapy.

George simply smiled and tapped Wei Yan's shoulder before walking past her to sit on the stool beside Anna's bed. And George spent most of the time left reading the last chapter of the book he was reading to Anna before she woke up.

George thought he was going to be able to share a short conversation with Anna before he left but his expectation wasn't satisfied.

Anna didn't wake up early and stayed in bed until dusk drew near. At that time, George had already left.

Anna could say that she woke up primarily because of the burns she was feeling in her bladder. Anna needed to use the bathroom but she couldn't stand up by herself.

She hated to be in such a state where she had to depend on people. "Ugh!" Anna groaned.

There was no one around her to help but before she could cry out for help, a maid unknown to her walked in.

"Madam," Zhu Jia uttered, walking closer to Anna. "How are you feeling now, Madam?" Zhu Jia asked. Her smile was too wide, seeming unnatural in Anna's eyes.

Anna would have just asked for Wei Yan as Wei Yan was the maid she wanted as her personal helper but the burns killing her made her admit that she needed to use the bathroom.

"I'm really sorry for the discomfort, Madam. I'll be delighted to help you to the bathroom," Zhu Jia said and immediately went to get the wheelchair.

The next moment, she went closer to Anna who was sitting on the bed. Zhu Jia pulled Anna's legs gently and when Anna's legs were off the bed, Zhu Jia wrapped her hands around Madam's back with one of Madam's arms around her neck.

Zhu Jia successfully pulled Anna out of the bed and gently dropped Anna to sit on the chair. After succeeding in that, Zhu Jia squatted in front of Anna mainly because she wanted to place Madam's feet on the footrest.

"Oh, please hurry," Anna groaned.

"I'm getting to it, Madam," Zhu Jia responded and went behind Madam to push the chair.

The next moment, Anna relieved the burns suffusing her lower abdomen and sat on the toilet bowl for a while, trying to recover from the discomfort.

When Anna was done, Zhu Jia attended to her and brought her to sit in the wheelchair. Zhu Jia also pushed Anna back to the bedroom but Anna insisted that Zhu Jia position her close to the window.

Anna wanted to feel and watch dusk encircle the area. "Where's Wei Yan?" Anna, however, asked when Zhu Jia fulfilled her demand.

The question made Zhu Jia pass a killer glare at Anna but then she forced a smile and answered. "Wei Yan is busy cooking."

"Why?" Anna asked, staring at the garden and feeling the breeze that was probably caused by the pool located in the middle of the garden. "Isn't her job supposed to be about her exclusively taking care of me, why is she cooking?"

Zhu Jia suddenly felt an utter animosity for Anna. She looked away, mimicking Anna's words mockingly.

Anna noticed that her silence was strange but exercised patience for Zhu Jia's response.

"Wei Yan insisted that she cooked for you," Zhu Jia lied.

"I see," Anna nodded her head thoughtfully.

"I can go stop her and tell her to attend to you, Madam," Zhu Jia uttered.

"Thank you!" This was Anna's answer before Zhu Jia left the room.

Anna's eyes, however, followed Zhu Jia out of the room. Something was off about Zhu Jia.

Zhu Jia was unaware that Anna could see her reflection through the glass from the window she opened and Anna was able to view every reaction Zhu Jia made against her statements and attitude.

Anna heaved a sigh. She didn't like Zhu Jia's attitude hence she was going to discuss the matter of firing Zhu Jia to George.

Now that Anna thought of George, she regretted not asking Zhu Jia about him. Anna then decided to wait for Wei Yan to arrive but Wei Yan didn't show up after some minutes.

Although Anna didn't fully trust Wei Yan, she was confident that Wei Yan would not ignore her call. Perhaps, Zhu Jia didn't tell Wei Yan about her order.

Anna then looked down at her hands, wondering if they could move the push rings of the chair. Anna was capable of moving her hands but couldn't use them to fulfill some things.

The damage in her brain after the accident had caused a lot of changes in her but she was thankful that some of the changes weren't permanent.

Anna used her hands to push the chair back but after that, her hands felt numb but she just couldn't give up.

Anna was doing this because she wanted to see George but would she be able to push the chair by herself out of the room and why couldn't she had just call out to one of the servants?
