1 1. I am Anna Chen

"Here's the report, Sister Li Xiu. The doctor suggests that you see him soon," Li Xiu's assistant informed her before she was called out to shoot her scene.

"Thank you," Li Xiu replied with a nod, sending her assistant away as she skimmed through the paper containing her health report.

Li Xiu sighed, anticipating such misfortune when she began to vomit blood.

The next moment, without a chance to calm herself from the health report, Li Xiu was summoned to perform her stunt scene in the movie she was currently cast in.

Seeing that it was finally time to get on set, Li Xiu shook her head, attempting to clear her mind of the cluttered thoughts.

Li Xiu then signaled to her assistant to hold the report so she could perform her role.

Li Xiu was a stuntwoman in the movie she was currently cast in, as she had been in the majority of the shows she had worked on.

Li Xiu loved her work and the role of a stuntwoman because it had always been her dream, ever since she saw her father perform like an expert.

Unfortunately, Li Xiu's father had left suddenly.

Li Xiu did a quick warm-up before entering the shooting location.

In this scene, Li Xiu was supposed to crash a car.

This particular act was something Li Xiu was all too familiar with, and the director on set knew it.

After the director saw Li Xiu enter the car that was going to be used in the crash scene, he immediately began a countdown for the scene to start.

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

"Action!"

Taking the director's last word as a signal, Li Xiu started the vehicle and immediately drove off.

It all started smoothly as Li Xiu drove until she heard a terrible whistling sound in her ear.

It was a familiar sound, as it wasn't the first time, and the noise caused a terrible dizziness.

This time, the sound caused Li Xiu to feel even worse, leading her to lose track of what she was doing.

While attempting to avoid hitting any obstacles or anyone until she could regain her steadiness, Li Xiu's movements led her into the bush that was beside the set location.

This wasn't supposed to happen, so the whole team rushed to Li Xiu.

The scene involved a car crash, and while one did occur, everyone on the movie set knew that this was not an intentional act.

When looking at the situation from the direction the car Li Xiu drove was in, anyone who could see could tell that things were serious.

Their suspicions were confirmed when they saw the state of Li Xiu's body in the car.

A piece of metal from the car had penetrated deep into Li Xiu's chest.

Additionally, Li Xiu's head was bleeding profusely.

Li Xiu situation was evidently dangerous and required urgent help.

The pain coursing through Li Xiu's body had snapped her out of her previous unfocused state.

Looking down at her chest, Li Xiu could sense that she was going to die.

It was becoming hard to breathe, and in the short time since the accident, Li Xiu had lost so much blood that she was starting to feel dizzy.

Li Xiu's eyes slowly began to close, and she couldn't even scream for help.

However, after using her last breath to contemplate things for a while, Li Xiu accepted her fate. If this accident wasn't the cause of her death, her illness would be.

Her dream had come true, so what more did she want?

Slowly yet surely, Li Xiu's eyes closed.

Even with her eyes closed, her mind remained subconsciously active.

Images began to flash in Li Xiu's mind while her eyes were shut.

It felt as if she was having a dream.

In this dream, Li Xiu saw herself as a particular lady, and as the "dream" progressed, she felt more and more like the lady was her.

This was how things were for Li Xiu before the feeling of suffocation suddenly overwhelmed her.

An urge to open her eyes and take in a breath of air emerged because the sensation of suffocation had abruptly intensified.

"Haaa!" Li Xiu opened her eyes and struggled to sit up, taking several mouthfuls of air as she fought to breathe.

"Haaa!" With widened emerald eyes, as if her eyeballs might fall out of her skull, Li Xiu took another breath.

The next moment, tears streamed down Li Xiu's face in between her breaths.

Li Xiu didn't know why, but her heart was aching, and she just wanted to cry.

Li Xiu felt hurt, and the reason eluded her.

Li Xiu eventually eased her back onto the surface of something soft, regaining her senses.

It felt like a bed.

'But I died,' Li Xiu thought within herself.

'I saw myself falling down the cliff, I am dead,' Li Xiu's thoughts continued as she regained a steady heart rate by breathing heavily.

It still felt as if she had been underwater, drowning.

'The afterlife?' Li Xiu pondered again, attempting to make sense of the situation.

"Doctor!! Just now, she opened her eyes, please…" Li Xiu heard a voice beside her.

Li Xiu vision was blurry for some reason.

It was gradually clearing though, and Li Xiu was starting to discern the details of her surroundings.

Li Xiu first turned her head in the direction of the voice she heard after 'waking up.'

It was a man's voice, deep and calm.

As Li Xiu turned to look, she saw a man in a white coat rushing toward her.

'What's going on?' Li Xiu wondered.

"George," the man in the white coat called to the man in the plain black suit.

For some reason, Li Xiu felt like she had seen him before, but where?

Li Xiu just had an inexplicable sense of familiarity with the man in the black suit.

Li Xiu observed the man in the white coat and the one in the black suit as if she had never seen humans before.

Li Xiu had been in the darkness for what felt like a long time, and now she had awakened to find herself surrounded by two unfamiliar individuals.

Despite that, Li Xiu still felt like she had encountered the man in the black suit somewhere, yet the details eluded her.

At least, Li Xiu recognized that the man in the white coat was a doctor based on his appearance.

Li Xiu shook her head while listening to the doctor's explanation, only to find out that she was being addressed as Anna Chen.

'Who's Anna Chen?' Li Xiu wondered.

The moment Li Xiu questioned the identity of Anna Chen, the images from the earlier 'dream' flooded back into her mind.

Li Xiu closed her eyes tightly and tried to recall everything she had seen before opening her eyes.

Li Xiu then slowly began to remember the content of that dream, the images that flashed through her mind when she closed her eyes.

For some reason, some of the memories in that dream mirrored a book she had read for a short while.

Li Xiu had read the book when she was with her friend two weeks ago, but she dropped it too early as she thought it was a love story. Now it seemed like…

Wait…

Li Xiu's eyes widened! What the heck?!

Li Xiu shook her head and began to mumble to herself while the doctor and the unknown man communicated.

Li Xiu's actions caused the man to ask an offensive question. "Do you think she's mentally unstable?" He asked the doctor because she was mumbling while counting her fingers.

"Ahh!!" Li Xiu suddenly sat up and looked around the room. She needed to see herself in the mirror to know what she looked like before concluding that she was… that she was in another person's body.

The thought made Li Xiu gasp, and then she tried to get out of bed.

However, her legs failed her, and she fell onto the floor.

"Ahh!!" In pain, Li Xiu reacted.

The man wearing the black suit rushed to her. "Anna," he worriedly mentioned her name. "Didn't you hear what the doctor said?" He frowned.

"What…" She was mesmerized by his beauty, but she wasn't in a situation where she was supposed to be admiring a man.

"What did he say?" Li Xiu asked in a whisper-like tone.

For some reason, Li Xiu just couldn't feel her legs.

"You are paralyzed because you've been in bed for four years," the man who was already carrying her princess-style answered her.

"Four years in a coma?" Li Xiu lifted her eyes to look at him.

"Wait, I need to look in the mirror!" Li Xiu cried out.

The man looked up at the doctor who was standing and observing. He then brought the confused lady to the mirror.

"Why do you desperately want to look into the mirror?" He asked her calmly.

"Can you go closer?" Li Xiu asked without giving a reply first.

The man listened and walked closer to the mirror.

"I am in another body," Li Xiu whispered while touching her face. "I am Anna Chen," she murmured.

Li Xiu closed her eyes to recall everything about Anna Chen.

If the memories she saw in that 'dream' did not fail her then the owner of this body, Anna, thought her life was great having a boyfriend like that kind of man.

However, it turned out to be all fake as he had been having an affair with her step-sister.

How sad it must have been for Anna when she found out that the people she trusted with her life were fake and were actually planning for her downfall.

When Anna found out, she got killed by her own boyfriend.

This explained the sharp pain that consumed Li Xiu's heart when she woke up. The pain returned when she recalled the scene.

This was Anna's body, and it seemed like Anna's dream never came true.

Li Xiu believed that her life ended just right, and for Anna Chen, she had to transmigrate.

Li Xiu closed her eyes, making a strong vow to herself.

This is her body now, she is Anna, and she would fight her enemies and make them pay.

Li Xiu is going to find justice for Anna Chen.

Li Xiu was going to serve justice to herself!
