Chapter 27: World of Magic (Gala Tournament)
A few months after the wedding of the princess and Duke. The Gala Tournament is now around the corner and many noble houses participated in this tournament for a chance to win.
"Lu Xie the tournament is now just a few weeks away, are you going to participate" Yu's dad asker calmly
"Yes dad, I want to give Yu Seol the title of the Gala Flower," Lu Xie said in a normal tone
Yu's dad then looked serious "The Lan kingdom has been suspicious lately, have you had any lead," he asked seriously
"Yes father, he seems to know our move. There is a spy in our kingdom and my men are looking for the person " Lu Xie said seriously
"Good"
Yu's dad nodded satisfied and smiled a little, "Alright, we'll prepare for the tournament, for now, we'll discuss this again. You can go now" he said then read the document in his hand
"Yes, father" Lu Xie bowed and then left.
Lu Xie made her way to the garden where her wife is waiting, they visited the palace today since the father and two brothers missed Yu Seol.
She saw them having fun in the small garden hut, with snacks and tea on the table. She walked toward them without making noise but somehow her wife noticed her.
"honey," Yu Seol said excitedly as if a child saw her favorite star.
Lu Xie smiled helplessly and kissed her wife's cheek then took a sir beside her.
"Good afternoon Brothers" She greeted them
"Boo I'm jealous" Yu Lan pouted
"Then look for a fiance there are a lot of noble ladies who like you" Yu Seol teased
Yu Lan grumbled, Yu Man was amused by his brother.
"How about you brother Man," Yu Seol asked
"Not now, I want to see my niece before I get a fiance" Yu Man took a sip of tea
Yu Seol suddenly blushed and pouted madly at her brother
Yu Man laughed and pinched her cheeks softly.
"I heard you're participating in the tournament brother Lu," Yu Man said
"Yes, I wanted to present a most beautiful hunt for my wife" Lu Xie said making her wife blush even more
Yu Lan laughed at the reaction of her sister since she got married he likes to tease her and look at her blushing face.
"Stop making fun of me," Yu Seol said pouting
"Okay love we'll stop" Lu Xie kissed her wife's cheek to appease her
Yu Seol smiled and kissed her lover's cheeks many times, the two brothers felt bitter and cried inwardly

For the whole day, they talked and laughed.
In the evening Yu Seol and Lu Xie returned to the Duke's house.

Zu Gan after that incident John took another soldier as his apprentice he was greatly disappointed by him and ignored him.
Fan Zoa also stopped looking for him and was seen with another soldier which she had liked. Zu Gan didn't mind it and was actually relieved that no one would get in their way.
Zu Gan had the conclusion that Lu Xie had been brainwashing his beloved that's why she started to hate him and even worse slapped him when they talked.
Right now, he was preparing for the Gala Tournament, in a few weeks. He remembered that when he participated he got the most hunt and wanted to present the title to his beloved so he worked hard to enhance his archery skill.
Meanwhile, Lu Xie was in the training ground shooting at moving objects that are being controlled by her soldiers, she ready her bow and focused.
Yu Seol was watching her husband from the second floor her eyes shone in admiration her hubby was the best in everything.
Lu Xie took three arrows and then pulled the string until it reached her face, her eyes focused on the targets before letting go.
The arrows traveled fast and hit the targets on critical parts, the soldiers and her wife cheered. Lu Xie continued to train until her soldiers ran out of mana, this is also an exercise for them to improve their mana control and consumption.
Yu Seol immediately ran toward her lover and wiped his sweat on his face.
"Thank you, baby," Lu Xie said softly letting her wife wipe her face
Yu Seol had a blush on her cheeks and gently wiped his face. The soldiers watching can't help but complain in their hearts, every day they kept eating dog food from the duke and princess.
"Baby, let's go inside" Lu Xie held her wife's waist and led her toward the house
"Honey, your archery skill is the best" Yu Seol praised
"Thank you baby" Lu Xie giggled
"By the way honey, I heard from my brothers that the Lan Kingdom is preparing for war," Yu Shen said lightly
Lu Xie is no surprise she knew since her brothers can't keep a secret from their baby sister.
"Yes, it seems so, my men are now tracking a person who betrayed the kingdom" Lu Xie made her wife sit
"T...Then a..re...y..you..going," Yu Shen asked trembling
Lu Xie noticed it and hugged her instantly, she patted her back gently. She knew she was worried and scared
"Don't worry love, we'll just have to wait and see if they dare" Lu Xie said with a hint of madness
Yu Seol rests her head on her lover's chest and listens to her beating heart, then rubs her head like a cat against her.
Lu Xie laughed a little and picked her wife up and went to their room.

All noble families and participants are all gathered in a specific forest where they released all kinds of animals for the participants to hunt. Even some wild animals lived there.

Yu's dad nodded and let them in their seats he stood up and said.
"TODAY, WE CELEBRATE THE GALA TOURNAMENT. PARTICIPANTS ARE ALL GIVEN 2 HOURS TO HUNT MORE PREY AND BECOME THIS YEAR'S GALA WINNER. GENTLEMEN, PLEASE READY YOUR HORSES" Yu's dad said his voice magnified with magic
Lu Xie kissed her wife's hand and took her horse over her bow, she looked so dashing in her outfit and her aura was like a knight in shining armor.
Zu Gan sneered and got on his horse which is a little malnourished, his horse had just been bought from the market. He didn't have money to buy a strong horse so he can only buy the cheapest.
"NOW ON MY COUNT, READY...SET....GO"

All horses started running from the forest, Yu Seol was watching her lover through magic using their pair of rings. Her smile reached ear to ear and watched her every move, Yu's dad and the two brothers were watching other participants.

Lu Xie spotted a cute little rabbit with two horns one was black while the other was red, it was a rare breed of a rabbit instead of killing it she gently took it in her arms and fed it some monster cores.
The rabbit noticed the person's intention and obediently ate the monster core, Lu Xie patted her head.
"How about I give you to my wife a littl rabbit I'm sure she'll love you," Lu Xie said a little cold
The rabbit nodded obediently as if understanding the words. Seeing the nod this rabbit might have intelligence, gently putting the rabbit in her space. She made her way deeper into the forest where the connection was lost.
Yu Seol frowned and tried again but her lover was far away from her. She pouted but waited for her lover.
Lu Xie knew her wife was watching her so she went deeper into the forest, in the story the king wanted to have the legendary rainbow color deer. It is said to bring the kingdom prosperous luck and power.
Many participants look for this deer but to no avail, the rainbow deer was not easily found since they don't have any clue where they would find it.
Star knew its location and Lu Xie went to the farthest place in the forest, she went down her horse and made it wait near a tree.
She walked for a few minutes before stumbling on a wide glittering lake. She hid in a dense bush and concealed her presence she waited patiently for the deer to appear, with the bow and arrow ready in her hands.
After an hour and a half later, her patience was rewarded and the rainbow deer appeared.
Lu Xie immediately stretched her bow string with an arrow and waited for perfect timing. Seeing the rainbow deer drinking from the lake, she put magic on the arrow and then suddenly let go.
The arrow traveled fast that can't be seen by the naked eye, the rainbow deer didn't notice it. By hitting on its heart, it didn't have time to react when it got hit. The rainbow deer fell to the ground and its blood flowed out.
Lu Xie took out a large jar from her space and collected the blood from the deer. She didn't like wasting materials the blood might be useful so she took every last bit.
After the blood was drained she put the rainbow deer on her space and went to her horse staying in the same place where she left him. Took the lead and lightly tapped his sides the horse ran fast.
The tournament was nearing its end, some had already returned and made the judge count the animals they hunted.
Yu Seol was worried it had already been an hour and forty minutes since she saw her lover, and as she was about to speak with her father. The ring vibrates a little and the image of her lover returning was seen by her.
She immediately waited in her seat patiently like an obedient wife.

The horse sounded and saw the Duke also had returned, she handed the lead to Van and stepped down her horse, and made her way to the stage where the participants brought out their hunts.
Zu Gan who knew where to hunt animals with more points with the help of his memories took all the animals with the highest points. He wanted to win the tournament no matter what.

"No. I just forgot I have another prey I caught in my space" Lu Xie pretended to open her space and took out the beautiful rainbow deer that shone in the beautiful colors of the rainbow.
Everyone was stunned, the rainbow in the legend was hunted down by the Duke. They couldn't believe their eyes, the rainbow deer were very beautiful like gems shining on the day.

Making the people return to their senses and all cheered, the Mc gave the flower crown to her. Which she took and walked toward her wife, knelt, and presented her with the flower crown.
"My dear wife, will you be my flower princess for this tournament," Lu Xie asked softly
"I loved to honey" Yu Seol nodded her heart very happily and full
Lu Xie stood up and gently placed the flower crown on her wife's head then took her hand.
"CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS. THIS YEAR'S WINNER DUKE LU XIE AND HER FLOWER PRINCESS YU SEOL" the mc said energetically

Zu Gan felt a zap on his brain, in the previous life the rainbow was never found in the Gala Tournament. Then he recalled everything that happened from the beginning until now.

"Master, an emergency letter came from the palace" the maid said they handed the letter
Lu Xie opened the letter and widened her eyes, she immediately changed her clothes waking her wife up.
"Hmm. Honey where are you going?" she asked a little groggy
"Baby, I'm just going to the palace. Don't worry go back to sleep" Lu Xie kissed her forehead
Yu Seol suddenly sobered up when she heard she was summoned "No! Let me come," she said holding her lover's hand stopping her
Lu Xie sighed and nodded " alright then go change"
Yu Shen nodded and immediately changed her clothes, Lu Xie took her horse and Yu Seol was sitting sideways in front of her lover.
Lu Xie put on wind and cold protection for her wife, the horse runs through the night going to the palace. Stopping at the entrance she held her wife's waist and went down the horse. She gave the lead to the guard and both rushed to the king's office.
"Father, I'm here" Lu Xie knocked
"Come in," the voice said inside
Lu Xie opens the door, Yu's dad and the two brothers were also there. Seeing that Yu Seol was with her they all sighed and let them took a seat on the sofa.
"We have received a war declaration in front the Lan kingdom and would launch an all-out attack in the out kingdom in 2 days" Yu's dad clasped his hand together and said seriously
"Brother Lu have you found the traitor," Yu Lan asked seriously
"Yes, my men reported to me earlier and said that it's one of our soldiers they have been suspicious of him. After he finished training he would go to the forest and return after midnight" Lu Xie took out the files and video that was sent to her
"This is the files that my men found in his room and the video where he went to the forest" Lu Xie said
They all read and watched the paper and crystal video orb, Zu Gan meet up with a messenger of the Lan kingdom and their conversation was recorded loud and clear.
The faces of Yu's dad, two brothers, and Yu Seol darkened.
"Go arrest Zu Gan and put him to jail" Yu Dad ordered the people outside
"Yes, your majesty," the soldiers said
"I can't believe a soldier of the kingdom wanted to betray us," Yu's dad said coldly
The others didn't speak and were silent.
"Lu Xie and you two go prepare for the war. Princess, go back to your room" Yu's dad said sternly
"Yes father" The three nodded
Yu Seol doesn't want to return alone, but her father was serious so she also nodded. Lu Xie escorted her wife to her usual room, upon arriving at the door, Yu Seol hugged her tight.
"Go to sleep, baby. I'll see you tomorrow" Lu Xie kissed her fire head and lay her down on the bed.
Yu Seol was reluctant. Lu Xie smiled and peek her lips lovingly "Good night baby" she said before she left
Yu Seol hugged her quilt and closed her eyes and smelled her favorite scent.
Lu Xie went to the meeting room, where high officials were all gathered, then closed the door.
