Chapter 20: World of Magic

The two escorts turned their heads away after confirming everything is fine, the two of them were dazzling that is blinding the eyes of single dogs.

"Why did you cry? Are you uncomfortable?" Lu Xie asked softly

"i... I'm fine" Yu Seol didn't want to bring up hurtful memories of her past

Lu Xie didn't ask anymore, seeing that she didn't want to speak, and slowly stood up, a few seconds later. Their food arrived and the waiter placed the food on the table gently then left.

"Give it a taste and see if it's your liking" Lu Xie handed her a silver chopstick

Yu Seol took it and pick some pieces of food and then put them in her mouth, "It's delicious" she said as she pick some food and eat it

Lu Xie smiles a little and also eats.

Outside the cafe, a man stood watching the people from the balcony and was stupified.

Zu Gan who was in town wanted to buy something for his beloved he remembered everything that she like and don't. He went to the blacksmiths and pick put an exquisite bracelet the same bracelet he gave when they started to be together.

The bracelet was made with fine jade and had patterns of a dragon and a phoenix on side of the bracelet. At the center of the bracelet was a beautiful gemstone of amethyst.

The bracelet was expensive but he bought it anyway, he looked at the bracelet with a pampering smile making the people look at him weirdly. He regained his composer and went out of the shop.

When he was about to leave, he noticed someone very familiar to him. And sure enough, he saw Mini the princess's maid he saw her multiple times in his past life together with the princess.

But he was curious about what is the princess doing in town, in his past life he didn't come to town so he didn't know if the princess coming today. He was about to approach but the princess and Mini went to the tailor shop.

He remembered when he was at war the princess gave him a beautiful handkerchief, which means that she was waiting for him. He went to war and returned victoriously.

Mini and the princess came out but the princess lost balance he was about to rush and save her but a person had already held her. He felt bitter in his heart he tried to step forward but stopped.

His eyes widen and saw Van on the right arm of Lu Xie his fist unconsciously tightening making it blue. He gritted his teeth while looking in their direction when he pick up the princess.

Zu Gan felt hatred and jealously in his heart he wanted to stop him but Van was looking at him murderously he noticed his bloodlust. He took back his bloodlust and calmly hide.

He followed them until they reach the cafe and watched their ambiguous scenes, his teeth were itchy and his heart was burning in endless fire.

He watched as his beloved smiled sweetly at that bastard and even took the initiative to put food on his plate. This shocked him, in his past life he saw the princess take the initiative put food on his plate.

The waiter didn't budge, and even if he dies he will not step out of the way. The bloodlust of Zu Gan was felt by everyone in the room, Van calmly stood up and opened the door.

Seeing that the door opened, Zu Gan was about to enter when he has pushed away. He angrily looks at the person he regained a bit of his clarity.

"Second Lieutenant Zu Gan, why are disturbing my master's room," Van asked in a low voice but it was cold and sent shivers on the spine

"I want to speak with the princess" Zu Gan dares to look him in the eyes. His hands have been slightly shaking

In the last life, Van was the most powerful right hand of the Duke and was loyal to him. He defeated thousands of enemy soldiers and gave his life to Lu Xie.

"The princess is busy speaking with my master, a soldier you have no right to call the princess to have a chat" Van said before closing the door.

Zu Gan gripped his fist, his right a soldier if he is not summoned to speak with the princess. He is not allowed to speak with her without being called by her.

He didn't leave and stayed on the second floor leaning against the wall near the door. He was confused why everything is different from what he remembered.

The waiter urged him to leave but he was stubborn and just let him. The Duke will personally take care of him if he does something.

**Inside the room**

Van returned calmly and sit down in his original place, in his mind he talked with his master.

"Master, Zu Gan the second lieutenant of the first troop wants to speak with the princess," he said as he took a sip of tea.

The smile on her face turned cold, Yu Seol noticed the change in his expression and was angry at the person who made his fiance's smile turn cold.

That person dared to release his bloodlust at the princess and a Duke. Does he want to die?

Yu Seol is very attentive when it comes to something she likes, so she wanted to cheer him up. Pick some chicken meat and wanted to feed him.

"Axie say ahh," Yu Seol said softly

Lu Xie looked at her a bit stunned and opened her mouth, the princess feed the meat and then saw the smile on his face return. She smiled happily that it works and would occasionally feed her.

Lu Xie eat everything she was given and would smile at her a bit, she saw her eyes turn bright every time she smile. She can't help but felt warm in her heart.

After a few minutes, the dishes were cleared out. Yu Seol wanted to spend more time with him but she still didn't start making him his gift, so she reluctantly want to return.

"Axie, thank you for taking me to lunch I like it," Yu Seol said softly

"It's okay, I'll take you downstairs" Lu Xie took her hood and put it on the princess

Yu Seol felt her heart warm and sweet, she likes how he is caring for her. Lu Xie took the hood behind the princess and gave it to Mini.

She held her hand and then opened the door, as they were about to leave. A man stood in the way, Lu Xie looked at the man coldly.

Yu Seol was happily holding her soon-to-be fiance's hand when she stopped, she looked in front and saw the second lieutenant Zu Gan standing in their way.

"Mr. Zu Gan please step out of the way," Van said stepping forward

Zu Gan looked at the princess and Lu Xie holding hands he was stunned his eyes widen and he was in a trance. Van saw him frozen, held him, and push him to the side.

Lu Xie stepped forward holding the princess's hand and made their way downstairs, only then did Zu Gan snap out and saw them getting out of the cafe. He runs to follow only to see the scene.

The princess his beloved was hugging Lu Xie and even kissed his cheeks, his mind went blank and his heart was in chaos nothing knowing what to do.

Lu Xie helped her step inside the carriage and waved my hand as a goodbye to the carriage leaving, Yu Seol looked reluctant as she watched the figure getting further and further away. Mini was done eating dog food for today.

Van came with the carriage and Lu Xie stepped onto the carriage and left.

Zu Gan was left there frozen, emotions in his eyes and heart were in chaos. But he had nowhere to vent.

The town was decorated with beautiful decorations and posters of the king were distributed. All kinds of food and other delicacies were given to the townspeople.

All invited people all arrived at the palace and all kinds of gifts were put in one corner. Mountains of gifts were placed in the corner and the room was filled with food.

"Prince Hu, long time no see" the prince of Lan country greeted ecstatically

Hu just frowned a little and just smiled meaningfully, he took a sip of wine before saying "Prince Lan, you don't have to be nice"

Lan's smile turned cold and sinister, he laughed a little "Hu don't be a party popper" he said lightly

He knew that he was threatening in his voice, he can't afford to offend him yet. The Lan family is stronger than that of the Hu country and the only country that can rival them was the Yu.

He wanted to gain favor and let them help them in waging war on the Lan country.

In the corner right, the Prince of Iny and Prince of Duan country talking. They both whisper to each other, Hu squinches his eyes and raises his eyebrow slightly. Seems like they are planning something.

This time when he came to the Yu country for the birthday of the king, he bedded a noblewoman who was drunk. The woman was then sent to the Lan country but she committed suicide before she left.
