Ch. 2: Arriving in Yan Empire

"Yan Empire is just ahead, how is the doctor faring? Has she awaken?" General Obi calls from outside the carriage. Servant Ju glances over at his unconcious Mistress, "not yet, she still sleeps." He answers. Oh man, this was too much. Once she awakens she'll most likely wring his pathetic neck. There was probably other ways to get her to come to the empire. But he was desparate at the time. He bites his nails nervously, maybe if he's lucky she won't wake until he's way out of her line of sight.

But things were too much like right, just as they were reaching the gates into the Empire, Kilang was coming to. Her vision swam a bit as she tries to get it in check, "where..." She trails off as she remembers everything that aspired. She turns to see Ju sleeping across from her. It seems it was not a dream as she had hoped, this damn servant of hers. She will have to give him a lesson for tricking her the way he did, but before that, she have to get them to turn back.

She makes her way to the window and peaks out, the first thing she sees is a Yan soldier riding his horse next to the carriage. But before she could say a word to him, or more like the words wouldn't leave her mouth because she realized that they were already in Yan Empire. "Ju!" She yells angrily. Servant Ju awakens immediately, seeing his Mistress pissed off face was the last thing he had hoped for. "Mistress, you're awake." He says with a nervous smile.

Kila shoots him a glare, "Don't Mistress you're awake me...how long have I been asleep?" She asks crossing her arms. "For a day, Mistress." He answers honestly. Kila rubs her temples, this was insane, why now? She had told herself countless times that she would never step foot in Yan Empire ever again. She would never help anyone from this place, that was what she told herself. But here she was, riding a carriage to the palace. She'll kill this damned servant for sure. She'll at least punish him severely for what he's done.

"Be aware that this will not go unpunished, Ju." Kila says as the soldiers stopped before the palace, "please show the doctor to the medical Courtyard first." General Obi directs a servant waiting for them at the entrance. "This way, Doctor." The servant leads her out through the back to a Courtyard due west of the palace. "I hope this is comfortable enough for you, the Empress demanded that you're well taken care of." The servant says.

"I won't be staying long, also send in my servant. The one that came with me." Kila tells her. "Yes, and if you get hungry, doctor. Please ring this bell." The servant hands her a bell before leaving. Kila sits the bell on a nearby stand and made her way to her chair and sat down to relax. There was a tap at the door, "come in Ju." She says resting her head on her fist and crossing her leg. "Mistress, you called for me?" He asked.

"Yes I did, remember earlier I said that you will be punished. Well I decided to tell you now what your punishment is." Kila says. Ju sighs, he knew it would come to this sooner than later, "I understand, Mistress. I deserve any punishment you give me." He says. "I'm glad you say that because your actions prove to me that you don't seem to understand your place. Ju, I don't know if I can trust you anymore, we've been together for two years and this is the worst mistake you've ever made." She says.

"Mistress, I'm sorry. I stepped out of line, I was wrong." He says. Kila stares at him, "this is all wrong, Ju. I want you to katow down to me." She says. Ju falls to his knees and obediently slams his head onto the floor, "that's better, but Ju this is the end of our servant, mistress relationship. I can't have someone that betrayed me like this. I didn't want to come, I still don't wish to be here. Even if I saw you as a friend rather than a servant. You decided to betray me by spiking my tea just for your own selfish reasons. Please pack your things and leave." She says standing and walking past a katowed Ju.

He didn't expect nothing less from his now former Mistress. After all he was in the wrong and should have never crossed that line. All because he wanted to know more about his Mistress. It hurts, but maybe it was for the best for him to go back where he came from. Kila was going to need to recruit a new servant, also she will cure the Emperor and leave this place. The last thing she wants to do is run into those people. The ones who hurt the old her.
