1 Ch. 1: Amazing Female Doctor

Perlin Dynasty

The sun rises in the east, below Yan Empire sparkles beautifully. But the Emperor Yan Perlin was sick and on his death bed, "hurry someone send for a doctor!" A servant rushes from the room in a frenzy. The Yan Empire was in a panic, there was no doctor close enough to cure the Emperor, "I know of someone. I hear they live in seclusion though." A man of high status, General Obi, he works directly under the Emperor and sees him as a father figure.

"The General knows of someone, quick send for this doctor, we don't have long!" The Empress orders as she enters the bedroom. "Yes Empress." A servant sends a carrier pigeon to the outskirts of the empire. Deep into the Fujo Mountains, where a woman resides from the rest of the world. Our Female Lead; Kilang Ba'er, also known as Kila. "Mistress, you have a letter from the empire!" Servant Ju rushes towards his mistress collecting herbs on the mountain tops.

Kila wipes her brow of sweat and stretches after a long day of herb picking, "dispose of it." She says as she walk towards the mountain's edge, "but it's the emperor, he's fallen ill." Servant Ju says waving the parcel paper. Kila ignores her servant's rants as she makes her way down the mountain and he follows, "that has nothing to do with me." she says. Servant Ju who follows his mistress without problems sighs. it's always like this with her. Even though she has great medicinal skills, his mistress always refuses to leave seclusion and treat anyone in the empire.

He didn't understand how a doctor could not care about another's life...no...that wasn't it. He have seen his mistress kindness, in the way she treat animals or a stranger that happens to be in the mountains. It must be something much deeper than that, there were times he saw the look of hatred everytime he talked of the Yan Dynasty. But there were also times he saw a look of loneliness and sadness, there was definitely something she wasn't telling him.

After all, he only knew her because she rescued him two years back, he had been running away from someone at the time, and fainted from a major wound that she bandaged. She was just twelve years old at the time, with medical skills like that, she must know a great teacher. He musn't force her, "yes mistress." He says as he tucks the letter into his pocket, but that doesn't mean he's given up. But how to get her to change her mind? She was as stubborn as a mule.

On the other note Kila had other things on her mind, she's been working on a medicine that could make one beautiful, having to constantly hide her bottom half of her face was a huge fustration. Having to look at the fourth degree burn that covered the left side of her face was a reminder of her horrible past. Even her servant Ju haven't seen her face entirely, though he's insisted that looks don't matter to him and would still stay by her side loyaly no matter what. She was still very cautious.

Kila and her servant finally make it down to the cottage directly built on the flat plains at the bottom of Fujo Mountain, "I will brew some herb tea, mistress." Servant Ju announces as he leaves her side to head in. Kila nods, and goes back to thinking of the right mixes in getting rid of burns, finding the right herbs could prove difficult. Flashes of a memory floated about in her mind, she immediately shakes her head to clear them.

There's no point in thinking about a time where medicine was easy to obtain, that life she had was no longer possible. Kila turn to enter the cottage where Servant Ju already had herb tea ready for her to drink. "Ju, you forgot to put in oolong." she say as she takes a sniff of the tea. He blushes, "ah yes, I should go gather some right away." He turns as if to do so. Before he could get far, Kila was already out of her seat with her hand grabbing his collar.

"Ju, what is this tea?" She ask him with a cool glare. Servant Ju really hate when her nose ruins all his plans, seriously she's like a hound. "Whatever do you mean, Mistress?" He asks feeling slightly guilty. But he couldn't sit around and do nothing as the emperor didn't have long to live. "There's sleep tonic in my tea, Ju. Don't play stupid." She says. When she gets like this it's really scary, after all his Mistress was no ordinary doctor.

"Yes, I thought since you looked so sleepy that you deserved a good sleep, Mistress." He says, at least it's partially true. He won't add how he already sent a pigeon to accept the request to cure the Emperor. This was definitely the only way, even though he didn't want to force her, he couldn't very well sit around and do nothing. Also, he wanted to know more about his mistress and why she refused to be involved with Yan Empire.

Kila stares at him harder and lets go, he doesn't seem like he's lying. It is true that she was tired, she drinks the tea and sits down at the table, hours later she felt the effects kicking in. Also the sounds of hooves outside the cottage was not a mistake, she blinks and glances over at her servant who now refuses to look her in the eye. "Ju, what's going on? Who's here?" Kila asks. She stumbles to the door and opens it, before her was a small army. There was no mistaking those gold and silver plates on those armory, this was Yan Empire's soldiers at her doorstep.

She could hardly stay standing as the figures were becoming blurry, "Doctor Kilang Ba'er we've come to take you to the Emperor." The deep voice belonged to the man that looked as though he was of high status. But she could barely make out his face, "Ju, what did you...do." She says as the darkness finally takes over. Servant Ju instantly catches her, "will she be alright?" General Obi asks as he helps the servant put the woman into the carriage.

"Uh, yeah, she'll be fine." He says climbing in as well. When she wakes up, she will probably kill him.

*Tears*

General Obi nods, "men let's head back to the empire." He yells. The Yan Soldiers could be seen from the distance as they galloped their horses and carriage back to Yan Empire.
