Chapter 2 - Race for a Date

Nina POV

Mia smiled at me so I rolled down the window.

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" (Nina)

"Awww don't tell me your afraid?" (Mia)

"Oh okay, I'm soooo scared, how about we make it interesting?" (Nina)

"I'm listening" (Mia)

"If I win I get to take you out on a date but if you win you can have my car" (Nina)

"Oh you are so on" (Mia)

I rolled up my window to get ready, I put my shades on. The light turned green, here we go.

We both took off to which were even but I shifted gears to pull ahead. Mia tries to catch up which she did but I shifted gears again.

I won as we pulled into the Diner with Mia upset and pouting.

"Really? Your gonna pout?" (Nina)

"I'm not pouting" (Mia)

"No this is pouting, so what time should I pick you up" (Nina)

"Not until I check under the hood, there's no way you won" (Mia)

"Mia, this car is like my child so nobody can touch her except me" (Nina)

"Oh so you just admitted that there's something good under the hood" (Mia)

"When or where did you hear me say that" (Nina)

"Your not denying it" (Mia)

"No I'm not" (Nina)

"Fine, I'll see up under there sooner or later" (Mia)

"You can, when we go on our date" (Nina)

"Fine, bet is a bet, where are we going" (Mia)

"My friends place" (Nina)

"What's at your friends place?" (Mia)

"Food, Family, and Fun" (Nina)

"Really so no dressing nice?" (Mia)

"Well, get a dress you can dance in if that's what you mean" (Nina)

"Okay, so you want something to eat?" (Mia)

"Sure, I'm starved" (Nina)

"Well we tuna sandwiches" (Mia)

"Are they good?" (Nina)

"No" (Mia)

"Then I'll take a tuna sandwich and a Corona" (Nina)

"Coming right up" (Mia)

We walked to the Diner where she went to the back and I sat at down at the counter to wait.

"Here you go" (Mia)

I bite into it, it's really not that bad really.

"Not Bad" (Nina)

I look back to see Dominic Toretto in the office.

"So, you live around here?" (Mia)

"No, just got back from Jail" (Nina)

"Wow, what happened?" (Mia)

Dom came out to listen.

"My friends and I got a contract to test drive a car for some rich prick, my friend Pete likes fast cars so he took it for a test run on track, next thing I know is we're racing on a highway, one of friends was about to win, but guy Dino he was racing clipped him, he took off to leave him to die, I was dating his sister at the time but she was cheating on me with the son of bitch left Pete who was like brother to me die, she testified against me and my best friend Toby" (Nina)

"I'm so sorry" (Mia)

"I got out early but Toby is still in there" (Nina)

"For how much longer?" (Mia)

"I don't know" (Nina)

"Well, I'm definitely going on that date now" (Mia)

"Have fun tho but not that much" (Dom)

"Oh, I never got your name?" (Mia)

"Nina, Nina Reese" (Nina)

"Well Nina, you know cars and drink Corona so you got my blessing" (Dom)
