To the forge - Arc rise of the light kingdom

Hello everyone, I didn't want to post this chapter today but seeing your interest in my fiction, I decided to post this chapter today, I hope you will enjoy it.

---

'Nurn'

We find Talion in the city of Nurn. Without waiting, he rushes to the forge and passes through the newly built gates of the city. He quickly heads towards the forge while observing the new environment around him, with only one idea in mind, the application of his ideas and theoretical research, eager to start forging with the new material brought from Seregost.

Using his time with the greatest of efficiency during the past week, he had a busy schedule. Not being forced to sleep, he trained during the day to increase his magical reserve and his mastery of it, sometimes alongside Idril, who also worked relentlessly.

At night, he worked on many theoretical aspects of smithing, whether it be in the creation and codification of runes, or in the research of useful objects that absolutely had to be created.

He has also been working on the overall management of his army and his newly conquered lands, theorizing various ideas to maximize the logistics and smooth running of his territory.

As Talion walks towards the forge, he notes the improvements that have been made in the past week in the city, which has seen great change.

With Baranor as the ruler and the slaves previously being brilliant architects working alongside him, this city has now intelligent people at its core. And it is precisely thanks to the work of the latter that the city has been completely restructured.

The roads are wider and allow an easier movement, the ground of the latter has changed from small dirt roads to large, paved roads.

Houses have been built in a specific area of the city, which is located in the east of it and covers sixty percent of the latter. The rest of the city is divided between commercial places, military camps, and administrative districts.

It is in this last district that the newly formed guild of workers is located, Baranor taking as an example what is done in Gondor created it, which facilitated the restructuring of the city.

Seeing all these changes, Talion can only praise the efforts of the workers, as well as all the thinking heads who have been able to rebuild the city without him having to supervise anything.

---

Once in the forge, Talion goes to the master blacksmith and takes out the materials needed to create the different artifacts. He takes out a few kilos of gold, platinum, tungsten, Morgul, silver and other precious metals that came from the mines of Seregost.

Then he goes directly to his private room, where the most elaborate forge with the best equipment this city has to offer is located.

Although this forge is not a great one, it is still correct and allows Talion to create interesting artifacts.

The first step for Talion is to plan and design the desired artifact. Although he has already started these steps during the past week, he still needs to plan in more detail what he wants to forge.

He then draws a first design, on it we can see a kind of earpiece that attaches to the ear with a magic mechanism. This last one is elaborated, and we can see all the functions desired written below the drawing.

This device is a magical object of communication, it will theoretically allow the soldiers to receive orders and transmit information to the different captains and commanders.

With a runic codification it will be possible to create different communication channels corresponding to the different battalions and army units. It will work thanks to the magical energy present in the air, absorbed in small quantities by an absorption rune present in the mechanism.

The internal functioning will also be subject to a rune that will conceal the design, which will allow Talion to keep this technology without worrying about his enemies stealing it.

A second design is also visible, this one is a kind of cubic machine, with a small door for entry and exit. This is a runic assembly machine or R.A.M, containing several internal doors and mechanism, the objective of this machine is the automation of the production of the earpiece.

Indeed Talion having a large number of soldiers cannot afford to manually forge all the equipment, he must therefore automate the production.

The material will be transported by conveyor belts to the input ports on the sides of the machine, while internal runes will create the different parts of the desired piece.

To finish this invention, a complex terminal is present on the device, it will be useful to Talion to encode the type of product wanted, then the information will be sent in the machine which will create the product. In a way it is like a runic computer but much simpler, it will be enough to code the type of rune to produce and to realize a 3D diagram of the part, then the machine with a rune will reproduce the information and create the desired product.

Of course, this is the idea in theory, but before Talion is able to achieve the final result, it will require a lot of effort.

In a simpler way, another machine of this type will be created, but it will only be useful for forging certain parts of other machines with runes that will ensure the precision of the parts, and a rune that will take care of heating the materials. This machine will also be useful in the creation of weapons of all kinds.

One of the problems with these two machines is the difficulty of forging them, they require several parts to work, but Talion, with his personal experience and the knowledge he has stolen from the genius of the forge Celebrimbor, does not fear this challenge.

The fourth artifact is a cube, a few centimeters in size, covered with runes of all sizes and kinds. In theory, it should allow Talion to connect it to the soul of the person in order to change his genetic information and connect Talion's energy to him, allowing Talion to make him a loyal subject.

The latter touches on the realm of the soul, which is not without difficulty, but it is essential to Talion's plans, and like the other inventions he will have to produce it in large quantities.

With all the plans in place Talion can finally get to work. He then heats the ingots and starts experimenting with his first project.

First the shape, it must be thin and should be able to fit in the ear without difficulty. After two tries Talion manages to model it as he imagined it.

Then the central system, a main rune acting as a transmitter-receiver, Talion concentrating his magic tries with several metals and the Morgul is the metal reacting best to the runic inscription. On the latter he engraves the rune and codes the desired function, then he creates a new rune acting as a base connecting all the others.

In order to protect this creation, he needs to conceal the runes inside it, this way he won't have to worry about enemies stealing it to use it against him. Using the Morgul ingot, he creates a new rune to seal the whole system.

Finally he creates a rune of magical absorption that he connects with the other runes. Once this is done, he finishes the creation by cooling the metals.

The result is as expected, but a device like this requires a receiver and a transmitter, so Talion spends some more time before creating a new one.

Once the last device is finished, Talion goes directly to test it with the master blacksmith, once arrived in front of him he signals him " Master blacksmith, I need your help ".

The master blacksmith saw that Talion needed help and didn't hesitate to answer, "Of course my lord, and please feel free to call me by my first name Bregor, how can I help you?

"I need to test this equipment," said Talion, "You simply have to wear it on your ear, I'll go into the next room and you should be able to hear me through this device".

Bregor hearing this was immediately interested "Oh Oh, a very interesting new invention, can I study it once the test is over" he asked, the blacksmith in him eager to study this wonder

Talion saw no problem with this and agreed before heading to the next room.

{One, Two, can you hear me} Talion communicates through the earpiece

{This is fantastic! I can hear you clearly as if you were whispering in my ear, my lord, it's just incredible! I can't imagine the potential of such a creation!}

Talion, satisfied with his work, took the two earpieces and put them in his pouch.

Not having finished his experiments Talion returns to lock himself up in order to continue the creation of artifacts.

---

After 3 days of intense work he finally manages to create a functional prototype of a runic assembly machine.

This machine, although very difficult to build and expensive, allows the creation of an earpiece every two minutes, with a preparation time of 30 minutes, the time needed for the runes to melt the metal.

This invention is part of the great development plan that Talion has in mind and that he will present to the various leaders of his kingdom when Idril returns.

But not satisfied with what he currently has, he wishes to create a storage ring allowing him to keep his precious objects on him and to transport material such as metals.

Without further ado, and already having the plan in mind, he heats the metal to melt it. The ring will be made of an alloy of gold, silver and platinum, while the rune will be engraved on Morgul.

Once the ring is shaped, Talion inscribes the runes, then encodes the spatial storage concept with a space of 3 cubic meters and injects his magic into the rune to give it life.

The metals used are not strong enough to hold Talion's magical power, so he cannot afford to create a ring with a higher storage capacity.

---

As Talion finishes forging his new ring, an encounter takes place not far away, this one could change the fate of Middle-earth.

Barad-dûr, this fortress built on the plains of Gorgoroth not far from Mount Doom is Sauron's stronghold, reputed to be impenetrable, an impenetrable mountain from which Sauron leads his armies.

At the top of this tower in a black room made of obsidian and various precious metals is a gigantic throne on which sits what seems to be a specter, a black and ethereal figure.

This last source of evil would frighten anyone who looks at it, the darkness of this individual is enough to curse anyone who wishes to oppose it.

This creature, gifted with phenomenal power and a heightened perversion for cruelty and deception, is the evil that corrupts the world. Even the bravest of warriors, the greatest of lords, the mightiest of dragons, or even the ancient creatures lurking in the shadows would crumble in fear in his presence.

This individual, a maiar approaching the level of a god otherwise called Valar, is called Sauron, tormentor of men and evil incarnate.

In spite of his frightening presence and suffocating power, he is weakened, not possessing his most precious possession, his one ring, he struggles to materialize a physical form, his vitality being linked to the one.

No one dares to imagine the greatness of his power if he were to get his hands on his ring.

In front of him is his most faithful servant, king of the north and destroyer of one of the greatest kingdoms this world has ever known, the sorcerer king of angmar, the most powerful nazgûl, leader of the nine and invincible among men.

The latter is kneeling before his master as he delivers the latest report.

Sauron, absolutely not satisfied with the work of his servants and this new threat pronounces these words: "My servant, you have disappointed me, you will stay in Mordor and get my lands back as soon as possible, also, send some of the nine to get my ring, I feel it in the air, I feel it calling me, it longs to return to me. Gather the men of the south and the east, summon the armies of the mountains and those of Isengard, then you will rebuild the kingdom of Angmar "

These words, once pronounced, announce the coming of a great danger for this world, for whoever knows what they mean, they know that the nights will be blood red, that the war will come to take everything on its way.

Following these words a silence follows, before the Nazgûls answer " Very well master " With these words he withdraws to do his tasks.
