Talk

The situation was kinda awkward. I had hurried out of my room to inform my family when I saw the time. It had only been 5 minutes in reality while I had spent some hours climbing up to the 10th floor of the Tower. I had hurried out because I wanted to tell my family I was fine but now that I was out here I guess I'll just say I was really excited about getting my system.

"So son tell me what rank is your system?" My father asked.

I shook my head and sat down in my seat. I don't believe I've heard of other people with system of the same rank as mine. So my options at the moment were to lie or tell the truth, or I'm dumb and don't realize there is a better option than those two. I thought about it for just long enough that it wouldn't be suspicious to my family and spoke up.

"My system is the same rank as Charlotte's."

My words would mean that my system is of the Mythical rank. The highest ranking for a system meant I would develop extremely quickly in the area the system was targeted towards. Charlotte became an excellent magic user in a short amount of time with her system for example.

My father calmly observed me maybe to find any traces of lying and saying my system rank was higher than what I actually awakened to. However I also remained calm as my lie was downplaying my system.

As for Mother and Flora they happily applauded for me.

"Congratulations Ivis." Flora said. She probably began to anticipate her system's awakening all the more now that me and Charlotte both got Mythical ranked systems. It would be so sad if she awakened to something like a common.

Father also congratulated me after 'confirming' I wasn't lying but I was just not how he thought.

It was kinda sad that Charlotte wasn't here because she was at the academy. My birthday was right around the end of the school year so I couldn't enter now and Charlotte needed to finish everything for her classes.

"Tell us what the name of your system is?" Flora asked me.

I panicked a bit as my system's name was kinda grandiose. I still managed to get a quick response out though and told them a much less grandiose name.

"The Forge."

Very plain and boring but it encompassed my current powers and so it would be quite believable once I showed my Gift. Of course I would make it look like I had a decently sized limit on my power like if I just unlocked it like a normal system.

Father raised an eyebrow and asked about what I could do. I gladly showed off my 'new' power.

I summoned a simple spear making sure to use more mana and mental energy than necessary. I also spent a lot of time on the spear but rather than perfecting the design I instead made it worse. I did earn proficiency in Visualization from it though.

What I summoned was a spear with many imperfections unlike what I used in the Tower with the help of my Visualization Art. When my parents saw the spear that suddenly came into existence they couldn't hide their surprise.

"Wow this might be a new type of system never seen before, but tell me how did you make this spear." Father questioned me on the spear's origins.

I looked at his face and said, "I can create item inside a mental space and then summon them in reality."

"Really now? How interesting and is there anything else?"

"I think that if I try hard enough I might be able to make magic engravings on the items I make." This was an idea I had but couldn't test because I had zero knowledge on the way to make a magic engraving.

"Wow that's amazing." Flora chipped in.

"Yeah it is." I nodded in agreement with her.

"Well you should first start working on developing your powers before you enter the academy," Mother told me.

I was already planning for that and was planning on going back into the Tower of Beginnings again later in the day.

So I might make another chapter this week but I don’t really know.
