32 Chapter 31- Getting My Badge

Walking up to Flint both me and Emblaze had stumbled along to make it. Looking at his aggravated face I could tell he wasn't accepting the loss well. "You know, I never knew Onix was weak towards Ghost type attacks." Getting the hint that the man was suspicious of what move was used I smiled as I pulled an explanation out of nowhere.

"Well you see when Emblaze was training one day and it got mad we realized it had a unique ability. It gave itself the ability to turn flames into a ghost type attack. Sorry if it caused any troubles." Seemingly relieved the man slumped down and walked with me to the stands that was used to watch the battle. Continuing our talk from their I decided to ask the man "why he seemed so uptight". Looking into my eyes he decided to warn me about something he knew.

"At a burial ground not to far from here sits an old ruin. It hadn't been a problem to explore through, but that was until what happened a week ago. When the Charmanders and Charmeleon started evolving into a new species. Scientists have decided to call it a Karmeleon. Karmeleons however seem to be of 4 types, which is a never before seen situation.

One of the types, which is why I'm mentioning it is that they are Ghost types. As such they started flooding graveyards around the world, and with their black looks with the red and orange throughout their color schemes they seem to come from a nightmare. Kids have quit going to graveyards now, and other people have stopped going as often. If this situation keeps going on it will cause Ghost Pokemon across the world to rampage."

Taking in all the information over the worlds matters I felt even more guilty for not considering the implications of introducing a species into a foreign land. Then continuing to listen to the rants of the man I felt just how much damage I had done in certain places. "Like your Charmander, which I think it's ability is related to this the Karmeleons have gained the ability to use a move called Ghastlythrower, and another move we have dubbed Spirit Flame. Ghastly thrower is a move that shoots a flamethrower made of Ghost energy, but it doesn't burn like yours. The second one is small Ghost energies get summoned around in a flame like pattern around a set area. It gives all Ghost type moves in the area of these flames a boost to their power."

Hearing the special surprises I had made for the species already figured out so soon I felt a little proud to hear of their effectiveness, and also saddened to hear about them being used for the wrong purpose. Wondering what to do about it I thought of deleting the species, before I realized life most likely had a no refund policy.

"Well I'm done talking about my problems, but I do wish to leave you with a final message, and a gift." Taking the badge from flint that was a beautiful reliable brown. Looking in to my eyes he said "I need you to remember this. Legends once before mentioned a power of Ghost like flames Found deep below the Tojo Falls. Of course that's just a legend the man in front of me said as he smiled." Blinking a few times I immediately wanted to ask the System what was going on. I knew it said my Ability was not part of this world.

And so screaming System in my mind I felt the world slow until it was completely stopped.
