Cori begun to understand that whatever he did will register as a skill, but he did not know what will trigger the registration.
"Sticky fluid!" Cori shouted and feeling embarrassed that his "chuni" action only resulted in a squeak (T.T). Nevertheless, it seemed to have triggered the skill but the fluid were transformed from his tears.
This time Cori called out the skill (Observation) in his mind (although slimes are brainless but they still have a mind of their own). This time the skill activated a full scan of the room including the floor and ceiling. A map of sort registered in his memory with all the items listed. However, it was too wordy and in a language that was unfamiliar to him. Even with the auto-translate, it was tiring to absorb so much at once.
Although the slime had no nose, it had an excellent sense of smell and hearing. The aroma of a warm roasted chicken rice, beef steak, vegetable stew, freshly baked pandan cake, and fried seafood wafted through the kitchen. Attracted to the smell, Cori jumped onto the dining table and used "Paws" and "Sticky Fluid" to pick up the utensils while squeaking and wheezing in delight like a guinea pig.
At this point, filling his stomach was more important. Despite all the ordeal, there were at least some food to satisfy his hunger. More importantly, they were food he was familiar with... as he stuffed himself, tears started to flow again. Cori felt a tinge of homesickness, wondering how his family was doing. Especially his grandma who raised him since young. He wished he could at least send her a letter to tell her to not worry, and if he would ever return back home.
As if his prayers were answered, another message arrived. Cori clicked on the symbol and opened the envelope. A holographic message popped up with a video accompanying it.
The video showed Cori's hometown. But something was different.
