the history of Essennor

When karan was just four years old, he lost his parents. He was accepted in town hall among other orpahns, who just like him lost there parents at the hand of western Empire in allegations of rebellion.

As their town was just a small insignificant town, there were not many resources available so they could only teach some basic skills to children. It was even more so for the orphans taken in by the town hall as only few town residents volunteer to teach these orphans. These kids were taught basic reading and writing skills along side other skills like gardening, simple mathematics, communication skills and some basic knowledge about the country of Essennor by these kind hearted volunteers.

Karan still remembered hearing from some of these volunteers that the citizens of the country were treated poorly by these foreigners, which he even experienced himself later. It all started when they come to country as peaceful traders as but slowly colonized their peaceful country of Essennor which was not really known for strength. These foreigners used their advanced knowledge of machinary to defeat everyone who opposed them.

Thinking of all this Karan realised how less he knew about his country and its history. So just as he master said he picked a book about history of his country and took a seat in a corner. Old man Vishwas seeing him reading left him on his own and went outside.

Karan kept reading about the history and realised that things were more or less like he heard from here & there except for some more details that no one told him or maybe they themselves did not know these details.

He learnt from the book that the country of Essennor was a peaceful country which was found by a king named Alexore. Or it would me more correct to say he united the country after defeating many Kingdom and taking control over them. There were many small kingdom which were under the banner of Essennor. They were governed independently by their rulers by just paying taxes to the king Alexore. All these kindoms many depended on farming and hunting with average military power. Than the envoys of western Empire came as peaceful traders and established a trade relationship between the country of Essennor and Western Empire. King Alexore agreed in order to expand the trade and improve living conditions of citizens by including machinary from the western Empire into their daily lives.

Everything went well in the starting and everyone was happy as machinary made many things easier for them including transport. But in the cover of trading Western Empire slowly imported their lethal machinary including guns, cannons and all sorts of powerful machines. Using there superior machinary they slowly took over some small kingdoms and solidified there foundation in the country of Essennor. One day they used the trust of king Alexore to assassinate him and the royal family, successfully colonizing the country of Essennor without any war or struggle.

This was all recorded in the book that karan read and after he finished reading, he let out a sigh filled with emotions. He was somewhat lost after learning all this thinking what have the people of this peaceful country did wrong to deserve such fate.
