Feng family Valentine day
Ding dong, someone rang the bell. Alice and Mrs Feng who just got off from their car saw a delivery courier in front of their front door.
"Hello mam, please sign here. This is delivery for Miss Clarissa Feng"
Alice put her initial on the paper and took a big rectangular box inside the house then put it on the coffee table on the living room. Mrs Feng and her didn't bother to take a glance the label on the the box as they had to take all their shopping bags out from the cars' boot.
Mrs Feng and Alice did the grocery shopping this morning. They decided to shop earlier than usual schedule as the next day was chinese new year eve and also the day when Alan would register his marriage with Michelle. It was nearly afternoon office peak hour, Mrs Feng and Alice were still chatting happily while making some cake. They would not cook for chinese new year eve as they had booked two table on the restaurant.
"Mum, your phone rings" Alice picked Mrs Feng phone which was on the kitchen bench and pressed the accept button and put it on speaker phone. Mrs Feng whose hands were dirtied smiled when she saw the caller Id "Hello".
"Hi mum, We just arrived our unit. I'll be there in half an hour" Alan cheerful voice heard.
"Take your time. See you soon" Mrs Feng grinned happily.
"Mum, I'll start preparing for today dinner"
"Go for it. I'm nearly done".
15 minutes later the bell rang. Mrs Feng excitedly dashed to open the door and came back with a box of cake and put it on the fridge. "Why do we have so much delivery for Sasha today ?" Mrs Feng asked while Alice also shook her head she had no idea either.
"I am home" Nick arrived home with Cacha and he went straigh to the kitchen. He stole a kiss from his wife and a slice of BBQ beef before heading upstair to change his clothes.
"Hi Mum" Sean arrived and greeted his mother "Where is dad ?".
"At the back yard. Can you please call him ?" Mrs Feng massaged her temple. Her husband always lost track once he worked on the garden.
"Wife, look ! The groom and the bride are here" Mr Feng came inside while Alan and Michelle followed from behind.
"Hi Mum" Alan hugged Mrs feng.
"Hi aunty" Michelle gave Mrs Feng a hug as well.
"What do you call me ?" Mrs feng frowned.
"Opps sorry mum".
Mrs Feng nodded with satisfaction and asked her to take a seat in living room, while instructed Alan to take their stuff to the room next to her's downstairs. She didn't know why but she suddenly remembered the day she asked Alice to call her mother. She caressed her cheek and observed her with motherly eye.
'my poor girl. She must really yearned mother love and care' Mrs Feng said inside her heart. While Alice glanced to Mrs feng with confused look "Mum ? what happen".
"Nothing. Lets have a chat with Michelle. our dinner is ready now" Mrs Feng clutched Alice hand and dragged her to living room
Initially, only three ladies on the living room chatted happily before all the male joined them.
"I am home" Sasha entered the living room, she was so tired and exhausted. she sank on the empty seat next to Sean as the others two of her brother had been taken.
"Hey. pregnant woman who just travelled for hours is more energetic than you" Sean massaged Sasha shoulder who was leaning to him. Sasha didn't rebuke,.she just closed her eyes.
"Where is Cacha ?" Mr Feng didn't see his baby girl.
"upstair, counting her flower" Nick said casually hugged his wife.
"Did I have delivery today ?" Sasha was suddently very energetic.
Alice nodded and pointed at the box on the table. "And another is on the fridge" Mrs Feng added.
Sasha opened the box in front of her and stared with twinkled eyed and beaming smilr before ran to the kithen.
Cacha who just came to living room open the box on the living room "Wow, red roses !". She read the card and giggled.
Alan who was very curious took the card from Cacha and read it out of loud "I am couting down your arrival. Happy Valentine my girl. Love. your oppa".
Nick, Sean and alan snorted while all the ladies giggled. Mr and Mrs feng stared at each other with mix feeling.
"Hey ! What right do you have to read my card" Sasha came back and glared at Sean fiercely. He was the usual suspect eventough it was Alan.
"You put it in the common room. So any one can read it" Sean said casually with grinned. He knew since they were kids, Alan had no capability to argue.
Sasha knew every well that she never could win any argument with her brothers especially his black lawyer.
"Big brother and third brother, have you given your wife something ? and you dad ? Even me and big sister got flower" Cacha was in her sister side.
"I have too" Lana came from the back door which was always unlocked when the family were at home.
Nick, Alan and Mr Feng froze, They forgot about valentine. Not forgot, to be precisely they didn't realise it was valentine day.
"I'll buy it tomorrow. 10 times more than in that box" Mr Feng winked at his wife.
"Lame. when we were young, you said buying flower on valentine day was to costly. It's better to save money. But know we are all grown up, no need for you to save" Sasha sneered.
"No wonder he never give me any flower too" Alice stared at her husband.
"Me either" Michelle caressed her belly.
"My poor sisters in law, welcome to Feng family blunt Valentine. I am really sorry for you two" Sasha shook her head.
Nick and Alan cursed the culprit, they swore they would not give him easy day ahead.
"I have present for her but it's private" Nick kissed his wife cheek. Alice eyes were widened in horror as she could imangined what would happen in next three ours to her.
"Me too. But it will be tomorrow" Alan grinned. Michelle sneered, she never bothered it before but due to her pregnancy mood she was abit carried out that day.
