Crystal stood on the scorching tarmac outside the bustling McCarran Airport, squinting against the relentless desert sun as she scanned the sea of arriving passengers to glimpse her younger brother, who was supposed to pick her up.

Despite the hazy memories that still eluded her, a sense of familiarity washed over her as she took in the surroundings as if she had trodden these same paths many years ago.

As she waited, the oppressive heat of the arid climate bore down on her, causing beads of sweat to form on her forehead.

Desperately seeking relief, she reached for a nearby magazine and used it to fan herself, the pages flapping in the stifling air.

Her heart raced as she pleaded, "Oh God, have mercy on me. Where is Yeong Lee?" aloud to no one in particular.

Thankfully, she preferred a natural look and didn't wear much makeup, just a light application of moisturizer that enhanced her already glowing face.
