Chapter 268 : Thor Mocking Loki??

Female Loki? It's Loki!!!

Thor's eyes widened in shock as he pointed at the screen, struggling to form words. "Th-this... this..." he stammered.

Loki shot him a look of disdain, fully expecting nonsense to come from his brother's mouth.

Sure enough, Thor smacked his thigh and lamented, "What a shame! Why are you a man in our timeline? You'd be so much more... temperamental than Jane!" 

Loki recoiled from Thor's ridiculous comment, finding his pitying expression unsettling. What is with this guy? He could practically smell the family drama.

Meanwhile, Odin looked deep in thought, his face showing a mix of disbelief and pity.

Back on the Dwarf Star, a man named Starrk had stopped his combat training to rub his chin and stare at the screen with a curious glint in his eyes.

"I mean, I'm just appreciating her from a... male perspective, nothing weird," Starrk told himself. "No ulterior motives here. Really, just admiring the goddess. Not thinking about her joining me in another New York battle. Nope, no way!"

He paused, realizing he was talking to himself. "But seriously, if she tried to, you know, seduce me... I'd totally resist. I'm super strong-willed. Probably."

He inhaled deeply, as if to confirm something. "Wow, does she smell amazing? Yeah, okay, maybe I wouldn't resist that much. But hey, if things didn't go my way, at least I'd have a story to tell. I wonder what the kids of humans and frost giants look like. Would they take after the father's last name? Because I'm the only Starrk, and that's kind of important to me."

Starrk stared at the screen again, intrigued and possibly worried.

Back to Loki: he was dumbfounded, his usual repertoire of snarky remarks deserting him as he processed the sight of the female version of himself. 

After she gave him a smirk—one that was undeniably Loki in style—she used a device to open a portal and walked through it. Mobius had just arrived on the scene, already chasing after her.

Loki had two options: follow her through the portal or stay and wait for Mobius. He had to decide quickly.

Loki seemed hesitant for a moment, but eventually he stepped through the door.

As soon as he crossed the threshold, he was taken aback. He hadn't expected that the other side of the door would lead to the Time Variance Authority (TVA)!

A female version of Loki had burst in, alone. 

"Wow, this Loki is definitely not the God of Mischief."

"She must be a Valkyrie!" Thor declared, his excitement growing.

Thor loved the Valkyries more than anything else, which is why he was so enthusiastic. Meanwhile, Loki began to panic, noticing Odin's expression turning sinister. Odin's gaze was like that of an evil wizard eyeing a defenseless rabbit.

Odin was contemplating whether Kamar Taj had a spell to permanently turn a man into a woman, or if the Reality Stone could do it. It seemed like an interesting experiment.

Loki suddenly realized the full picture. The earlier attacks by the other Loki had been for the purpose of planting time bombs and controlling devices. 

The time bomb in the supermarket was likely about to go off, and the portal that was opened could transport people to any point in time, creating multiple time branches, forcing the TVA's guards to deploy to handle the chaos.

But what was this female Loki's endgame? What was she planning to do? Loki was utterly baffled.

There was only one possible explanation: revenge! And who would be the target of that revenge? It had to be the Time Keepers, who determined everyone's destiny.

Loki dashed off in pursuit of his counterpart, passing unconscious TVA guards along the way. Those guards who hadn't yet fainted probably wouldn't get another chance. 

As Loki turned a corner, he found the female Loki about to enter a peculiar elevator. He tried to talk her down, to persuade her to join him, but she cut him off with a dismissive remark.

"How rude! I refuse to admit he's Loki!" she snapped.

"He's got no brains. He must be Thor's upgraded model!" she mocked.

Seeing himself getting roasted on the screen, Loki complained loudly. 

Thor, not one to let such comments slide, responded with Loki's trademark sarcasm, squinting at him and retorting, "Oh, what do you know? This is what a true warrior looks like! This is beauty!"

Loki felt a chill down his spine and stepped aside, pretending nothing had happened. He picked up a piece of fruit and started munching on it.

But that's when the judge and her guards cornered him. Loki quickly snatched the time controller from Lady Loki's waist and opened a portal beneath them. They fell through and landed in a cabin, crashing onto a bed.

Any hopes of a soft landing were quickly dashed. Lady Loki reacted instantly, hitting Loki hard in the head and grabbing back the controller, ready to leave him behind. Unfortunately for her, the controller was out of power.

Loki, still groggy, managed to take it back, claiming he could recharge it. But as soon as he had it in hand, he used his illusion magic to hide it with a smirk. 

"Ha! I told you she wasn't very smart!"

Loki felt triumphant. He had regained control! But the only reactions he got were the puzzled stares of Odin and Thor.

Odin seemed composed, keeping his thoughts to himself. But Thor's expression spoke volumes. It was the same expression Loki often gave Thor when he thought his brother was being an idiot.

"What are you trying to say?" Thor asked, his voice edged with confusion.

Loki was taken aback, his annoyance bubbling up. It was one thing for him to mock Thor, but for Thor to turn the tables? That was unacceptable.

How could Thor, with his brawny muscles and simple mind, dare to question Loki, the god of mischief? It was absurd!

Thor spread his hands, shrugging in helplessness, as if to say, "Why are you running away?"

"A female judge and two regular Time Guards—that's all you were facing. So why did you run?"

Meanwhile, Valkyrie was single-handedly taking down dozens of guards without breaking a sweat. 

Thor pointed out that Loki had his own allies now, so running seemed like an odd choice. It was clear that the odds should be in Loki's favor.

Loki blinked, attempting to process Thor's words. He'd always had a habit of fleeing when things got dicey. Maybe it was something he should work on—stand his ground, even if he might lose.

But Loki couldn't just leave Thor's comment without a response. He straightened his posture and looked down at Thor with a hint of condescension in his eyes. The smirk that followed showed that he had a witty comeback ready.

"What does Future Loki's choices have to do with me right now?" he quipped, deflecting Thor's concern with his usual sarcasm. "Thor, you're hilarious!"
