It was now almost lunch break as everyone started chatting with their friends. I was packing up my stuff, waiting to get out of the class and eat something. The bell finally rang, making everyone run to the door as I too, head towards my locker to put my things in. Done with that, I turn around to see Haru and Miyeon making silly faces, right infront of my face.
"Woah- what are you guys doing?" I question their sudden goofiness.
"What? You looked like a depressed little cat who is forced to come to school, so we decided to cheer our baby up a little" Haru says, doing an ayego, which was actually cute.
"No, it's not like that. You guys know what day it is today" I reply in a low voice.
Their eyes immediately soften on me as their big smiles die down to a comforting smile, telling me that everything will be fine. And that's what I needed right now.
"I'm so sorry Hei Ryung-ah. We did remember it but didn't want to make it obvious, you were already down"
"I can't help it. It was the day I lost my parents afterall. I miss them so much" I said looking down on the ground, feeling the tears clouding my eyes. It was just how I was. I always felt down whenever the same date would come. Ofcourse, the loss of parents had a huge part in that but that wasn't only it.
"We understand. That's why we prepared a surprise for you. We are heading to your apartment after school, get changed, and go on our trip. You need to take your mind off of those things." Haru said with a soft voice.
I loved them. I really love them to bits. We were always with each other on days like this and that made our bond even stronger. Not realising it, a tear fell on my cheek, pulling me out of my trance as I quickly wipe it away and throw my hands on their shoulders.
"We already wasted half of our break because of me. Let's go eat something shall we??" I say, dragging them both with me to cafeteria.

After eating our lunch, we were back to our classes for our remaining classes as everyone settled down. For me, I had a quiz, and Haru and Miyeon were in the same class. I would normally get done with it half way through the period so I had quite a lot of time. So after turning my quiz in, I took my bag, taking out the new story that I was reading to pass the remaining time. I loved reading books. It gave me a feeling of happiness. Seeing how a character develops after going through struggles, somewhat motivated me. I was almost done with my chapter when the bell rang as I pick up my bag, hugging the book and head out for the last class of the day.
The school was finally over, as Haru and Miyeon join me on my way to the apartment for the "surprise". Reaching home, we enter, immediately taking off the warm accessories that were kind of feeling suffocating now.
"Water. I need water some water. My bottle was finished because of a certain 'someone'" Miyeon says, sitting on the sofa, while glaring at Haru.
"What? My throat was dry today and I forgot mine at home" Haru defended with a sheepish smile, also sitting beside Miyeona as I head towards the kitchen. Pouring water in the glass, I go back giving it to both of them
"How much time do we have before we go?" I asked.
"2 hours, we have to be on our way after that since we have to reach there at six according to the plan, the ride is about 30 minutes, so we'll be 30 minutes early because right now it's 3:00-"
"Ook that's enough, you'll even spill where we're going" Miyeon says, cutting Haru off.
"Well then, I'm going to sleep for some time and then get ready" I say, before they could carry on with their bickering.
"K, pass me the remote on your way. I'm gonna watch some drama" Miyeon orders.
"Yea, wake me up at 4:00." I say, throwing the remote, not knowing where it went.
"Hey you freaking-" Her voice cuts off as I close the door while laughing lightly. Changing my clothes and going into comfy pajamas, I lay down, not really feeling the best today. I hope the surprise lifts me up a little, feeling tired of the uninvited saddness and dullness myself.
