"Aihana Etsu should give his powers to less temperamental people." Kanaru muttered.

"I really don't want to interact with her again."

He tried to get out of bed, but he quickly noticed his own condition.

'I'm in such a regrettable state that it makes me want to laugh at myself and also…' Kanaru thought and he tore a strand out of his hair.

'So, my hair turned white. It seems like I went overboard in that fight.'

A faint white aura enveloped him, but soon after it disappeared.

'Shit, I used my abilities too much, especially 'dark matter and recovery'. If I stay to rest, I'll probably heal in 2 or 3 days, but...

Kanaru sighed.

He understood that this was the best possible result, his fight against Accelerator was much more difficult than he expected it to be.

"That transformation." Kanaru muttered.

He thought of the devilish form of Accelerator.

'I couldn't analyze that transformation. Its black wings seemed of a completely opposite substance to my Dark Matter, although I could not analyze the elements of those substances it seemed very familiar to me… what the hell was that?

'Furthermore, I also could not analyze the structure of the white fire that ended Kihara's life.'

'There is something I am missing…'

*Beep*

*…*

As Kanaru was deep in thought the intercom that was taped to the wall next to him started to ring.

"A visit?" Kanaru muttered.

Kanaru raised his body a little and he pressed an intercom button. The small screen lit up showing an image.

'¿Shokuhou-san?' Kanaru was slightly surprised.

He immediately pressed another button

["I really didn't expect your visit"] Kanaru said in a soft tone.

After hearing his words, she began to speak in a worried tone.

["Your mental waves... are very weak, they seem like the waves of a dying man"] Misaki said.

["..."] Kanaru didn't reply.

He wasn't surprised that she could read your mental waves, he was not very good at hiding them anyway and also, he wasn't wearing his inhibitory headphones. What surprised him was that she could determine his state of health with just that.

["Can I come in?"] She asked in a worried tone after not hearing his answer.

Kanaru didn't answer, but the entrance lock opened.

"I will disturb you." She said upon entering the room.

Misaki closed the door and she walked a bit until she found a lighted room with the door open.

She without hesitation entered there.

"What?!" She exclaimed surprised at what she saw.

She saw how Kanaru was lying on a bed. His condition was very fragile... weak.

His body was heavily cut, his hair had turned white, and he seemed to be having trouble breathing properly.

"It has been a long time since I've found myself in such a pathetic state. But, even so, don't look at me with an expression of pity." Kanaru said in a confident tone of voice.

She recovered a little after hearing him speak so calmly.

"You did it?" She approached him.

Kanaru nodded his head.

"With the main subject missing, It is inevitable that the project be canceled." Kanaru said. He continued speaking.

"There are still things that I must solve, but they are minor things."

Misaki sat on the edge of his bed.

Kanaru was a little uncomfortable that their distance had been so shortened.

'Right... she entered my bedroom without hesitation.'

"Misaka-san would be very happy to hear that." Misaki said with a smile, but seeing Kanaru's face stopped doing it.

"You... why are you in that state?" She added without leaving him room to ask her something.

Kanaru smiled a little.

"I wasn't strong enough." Kanaru said quietly. He continued speaking in the same tone of voice

"Thanks for helping me, you did your best even though this had nothing to do with you." Kanaru said in a grateful tone.

"I told you I would help you in any way I could!" She exclaimed!

Kanaru looked at the ceiling for a moment.

'She has been helping me a lot without asking for anything in return since I met her, I don't know how to respond to that.' Kanaru sighed.

'At least she deserves to know the truth, if she accepts me despite this, then I…'

"Shokuhou-san, in my life there are many things that I've regretted. You've helped me a lot and I consider you an important part of my life, I don't care if you laugh about it, but that's the truth." Kanaru said as he looked directly at her.

Misaki was surprised and started waving her hands uncontrollably.

"Wait, that's not..." She tried to clear things up, but he cut her off.

"Take out your remote control." Kanaru said suddenly.

Misaki was puzzled and she did not move.

"I've no way of defending myself against your mental attacks." Kanaru said.

"What is it you want me to do?" Misaki asked confused.

Kanaru pointed his index finger at his own temple.

"Do what you wanted to do when we first met!" Kanaru exclaimed with a smile.

Wow a lot of FF have appeared in these 2 months, I want to read them, but I must also write. I've a little crisis. xD
