His Heart Drowns

Dylan watch her back as Lena left the lounge with regret.

"It seems like you have been shown, a cold shoulder Young Master Dylan." the butler robot says as he passed the stunned figure of Dylan. "Very cold indeed." Dylan replied and stand up. He hear someone crying just as he crossed the lounge. Dylan chase the voice, stunned he saw Lena standing before the window to the back lawn, crying her heart out, suppressing sounds of her cry with a hand on her mouth.

[why is it that the scene of her crying her heart out makes my heart drown? ]

[ I don't want her to cry but why do Lena cries these days way more easily...]

Dylan walk to her, Lena still crying without knowing the presence of him. "Lena!" Dylan called for her as he approaches Lena. Surprised at being found, Lena looked at him. Tears rolling down her cheek. Dylan find it difficult to watch her miserable state.

"I'm so sorry Lena... I'm so sorry for what I have done.." Dylan said as he cupped her face in his hands. He feels like that all the happiness is being sucked out of him as he watched her and listen to suppressed cries.

He slowly clean her face but Lena hide her face in her hands and cried loudly. Dylan quickly realised that him being sorry does not count for what he has emotionally done to her. He stands there with crying Lena in his arms, whispering apologies to her, promising he won't do this kind of thing ever again. He stands there with patience. Dylan broke the hug and with care he removed hands from her face. He cleans tears from her face with his hands and cupped her face. " From the bottom of my heart, Lena I'm so sorry." He placed his lips on her forehead.

" Hit me, ignore me or just shout at me Lena, do whatever you like but don't cry ever again Lena." Dylan said to her, as he slowly takes her hands in to his. He bring them to his mouth and place soft kiss on them. It's look like, after when a really long time has to passed away then they will come out of the shock I gave them. He looks into her red, puffy eyes, who just cry a river out, sometimes being able to stand with her is comforting. "Promise me you won't just go anywhere without telling me." Finally Lena talked. Dylan hold her hand tightly into his and rest his forehead on hers. "I promise you" he whispers slowly, Enduring all the pain that he feel when he saw her crying in miserable state. It was all clear after a really long time between them. They stand there for time being.

"We have an Interview waiting for us." Dylan said as he walk her to her room. "Get ready." he place a kiss on her forehead and wait for her to change as Lena closed the door of her room. The butler robot comes to where Dylan was standing, grab in thoughts and passed him something.

"I've send all things you need into your car Young Master and your father just called to inform you have to attend the event in Royal Palace in afternoon."

Dylan open the envelope and read the invitation. "okay"

"Let's go Len." as Lena come out her room Dylan grab her hand and lead the way.

The ride to National University of Capaldi was almost quiet. The little sound were made by her as Lena plays with her phone.

"After the interview.." He looked at her face to see her expressions. Lena looked up from her phone. " We need to attend a Royal event." just as he imagined, the expression on her face was beyond recognisable. "I'll be there, during the whole event with you Lena. You don't have to worry." he parked the car in the parking area of NUC. Without saying anything, Lena grab her backpack and left the car. Dylan fallows her. Finally they are standing in the grounds of NUC. They have paid a huge price to be here. A price unknown to all but three of them. Gibbs was waiting for them at entrance. Together they walk on the grounds of NUC, slowly getting to where they belong. Gibbs has already seen the grounds before so he lead them to the place where the interview of candidates hopeful for admission are going on. A Professor called their name and asked them to go in room nine. His eyes sparked as he saw Dylan's face. He called for Dylan as he read the remarks on the sheet in front of him.

"Wait Dylan Al'Xander! You have to take the room eleven for what you choosen." just as Dylan fallows Lena and Gibbs,he was called back. "let's meet after interview in grounds."

"Thanks Professor." He said and walk in opposite direction to room eleven. He enter the room marked as eleven.

"Good day to you. Please sit Dylan." one of the interviewers says as he enter the room.

"I have read your email, you especially send to me and your majors too. Can I know the specific reason behind this?" the old Professor asked. Dylan smiles.

"Professor, I've clearly mention the reason in my research proposal. It's the same." Dylan said and reached for his backpack. He take out his high level flip screen and open a document on it. "There you can find any data you have asked for." Dylan give the Professor and sit before him as the professor and other interviewers start reading it. Their eyes sparkle as they continue to read the document.

"Very well Dylan.. NUC is honoured to have you as alumni." He takes back his flip screen and left the room with triumph. He was last of three of them to come back from interview. Gibbs and Lena were waiting for him in the hallway. "How was it Dy?" both of them asked as he came back. "Good." he simply said as his hand slides to hers and held. "You two passed?" he asked as they walk away from the main building of NUC to the grounds.

"Ofcourse" Lena says.

"NUC will not have as brilliant student as us." Gibbs says and a laughter fallowed it.

It was his birthday. Dylan was happy to be his love and his best friend.

"Gibbs! Did you get the invitation from Royal ?"

Dylan asked him as they approached the parking. Lena stilled besides him. Dylan put a pressure on her hand as to asure her that he is by her side.

"My Mum informed me about it just before the interview." Gibbs says and stand on the other side of Lena. "I have work to do. I'm off guys." he said and approach Dylan for greeting. They both grab each others mid arms and pull them to shake shoulders. Lena stand beside them, laughing her heart out.

"See you there." and Gibbs was gone.

Dylam shove his backpack into back seat and start driving.

"Dylan! It's your birthday..." Lena said when they left the main entrance of NUC. Dylan watch back of her head as Lena looked out of window at the road.

"Can we not go there?" she asked as if it wasn't a Royal invitation but a invitation to visit a horror house.

"You know, Dad always said he didn't want us both to go there regularly. It must be something important that he asked for us."

"But your dear cousin must be there.."

"And I will be there too, by your side." Dylan smiles at her.

"But.."

"Come on Lena, I bet he as the Crown Prince has learned his lesson."

"And now let's get you something." He said adoring her.
