Karasi

Morning has arrived, and a young girl is relaxing peacefully in her family home. The house was neither large nor small; it was adequate for the three. They live a simple life in Asvattha's isolated land, which is home to all commoners, peasants, and servants. This is also where all people with titles find their courtesans.

"Adira, do you believe in a parallel universe and reincarnation?" said a tiny child around eight years old. She kept wondering because she felt it truly existed.

"What's para...what do you call it again?" she sought out, puzzled.

The tiny child said, "Never mind." She already knew the answer based on how her older sister responded.

"You are too smart for your age, Karasi," exclaimed her sister, embracing her and admiring her younger sister's intelligence.

"Don't hug me; I hate being touched," Karasi said, annoyed. Adira smiled at her unclingy sister's behavior and pinched her cheeks, taunting her further. Karasi responded with a 'tsk', which stopped her sister from pestering her. She looked at the book she was holding and continued reading after her sister had headed out.

"Is Karasi not coming with us?" asked Adira, Karasi's sister who is two years older than her. After Alaric, their father approached her and asked her to accompany him on a shopping trip for supper. Alaric gazed at the confused Adira.

"No, Karasi can't come with us," he remarked in a sad tone. Hoping that one day the three of them can go out and walk around town together.

"Why?" she said, casting a peek at her younger sister, who was busy reading.

"Is it because of Casmer?" she asked, referring to Casimir, who she remembered taking all the children born on May 25.

"Do you remember when you first saw your little sister?" he sought out, before grabbing a packable straw bucket hat and placing it on Adira's head. Adira looked at him puzzled, recalling nothing from her early childhood.

"Do you still see the three auras your sister has?" he asks, casting a glance at Karasi. Adira looked at Karasi again, reviewing her.

"I see, white, violet, and..." she paused while thinking of an appropriate phrase to describe the third hue. While Alaric observed Adira, who was contemplating.

"Oh, it's like glitter papa!" Adira said gleefully as she grabbed her father's garments. Alaric gazed at her, intrigued and curious.

"Glitter?" he asked.

Adira was still young and didn't know how to use magic, but she could already perceive others' auras. He just assumed that Adira had been blessed with potential. On the other hand, Alaric cannot see other people's auras in the same way that Adira can. Only those who know how to utilize magic can usually see others' auras.

"Yes! Karasi was surrounded by glitter. It was circling her. It's like gold!" she exclaimed passionately, making numerous hand motions.

Alaric murmurs "gold" and returns his gaze to Karasi, who is already looking at them.

People only have one aura; the only people with two are the deceased holy saint, Hygeia, and the new saint, Lucius, both of whom came from the Ariadne Tower. However, there is no record in Basilia's history of a person having three auras.

"Are you talking about me again?" Karasi questioned with a blank expression.

Adira smiled as she ran towards Karasi and kissed her cheeks quickly, causing Karasi's forehead to furrow.

"Adi!" shouted Karasi as Adira dashed towards her father, who was laughing at them.

"Papa! Look what your daughter has done!" she irritatedly exclaimed. Adira only laughed at the enraged Karasi. Alaric smiles and approaches his agitated daughter. He lovingly patted its head and said:

"Let her be. Your sister enjoys teasing you," he whispered to the furrowed-pouting child, Karasi. While Adira giggled in the distance.

"We're going out for now, you stay here, okay? Don't go out" Alaric replied. Karasi simply nodded, not saying anything to her father, who was not allowing her to go out once.

Alaric approaches Adira and holds her hand. Adira waved at Karasi before leaving with her father, Alaric.

People have auras that hold meaning.

People with a crimson aura were typically seen as knights and Dames, as they were strong-willed, grounded, survival-oriented, and practical. The magicians have a bluish glow. While most nobles had a silver aura and commoners had a dirty gray Aura.

People with a black aura, such as Casimir, indicate an unforgiving temperament (to themselves or others), past life troubles, unresolved wrath, and grief. While royal families such as Ayira and King Themis radiated gold, the rarest hue of Aura.

Karasi, on the other hand, has three auras—white, violet, and gold.

White auras, such as the priest Damayanti, who can do healing, and violet auras, such as Alaunos, who is regarded as Basilia's best mage.
