Birth of the Holy Saint

Lady Eshe, Alaunos' wife, begins laboring, causing havoc among the people who live in the Tower of Ariadne.

"Lady Eshe gave birth to a Saint! " When she saw the newborn infant, the Tower of Ariadne physicians yelled with joy and amazement.

The priest raced inside the room. He was astounded by what he saw. His expression is full of enthusiasm, wonder, and excitement.

The saint is BORN!

The infant was hailed as a saint as soon as he was born, he was engulfed in mana and radiated a turquoise and white aura. It was the same aura that the late Holy Saint, Hygeia Agafya, and the other saints possessed. Having two colors of auras is rare and only happens to holy saints.

The priest of Ariadne's Tower recognizes that the Lord had bestowed upon the little infant the power to extend people's lives and resurrect the dead.

"He's such a pretty boy, lady Eshe," the physician said as she handed the child to his mother, Eshe.

The child obtained his parents' best assets: his father's gray hair and his mother's honey eyes, which make him visually appealing.

The priest approaches the lady to heal her worn-out body.

"A lovely child deserves a beautiful name," the priest remarked, smiling.

The Physician and Priest's gazes are fixated on Lady Eshe, who will reveal the saint's name.

"Lucius" she grinned, announcing her son's name.

"Lucius is the name of my adorable son" she added while caressing his son.

The two were overjoyed when they heard the saint's name.

After Lucius's birth, the priest announced that Lady Eshe had given birth to a holy saint. The Tower of Ariadne's people were both astonished and thrilled by the news. For more than a decade following the death of the Holy Saint, Hygeia Agafya, the Tower of Ariadne became saint-less. So, when they learned of the birth of their new saint, the tower was filled with elation.

"Blessings and Glory to the Tower of Ariadne!" The sounds of the people of Ariadne welcoming the saint.

While the Tower of Ariadne rejoiced and celebrated the birth of their new Holy Saint, Lucius, son of Lady Eshe and the mage Alaunos.

The kingdom of Basilia was in pandemonium as soon as they learned about the missing Royal Families, who were expected to welcome the princess.

When a man named Christos hears about the missing Royal Family, he immediately hurries to the palace to find out what is going on. As soon as he enters the royal gates, he witnesses the horrible scene. The Palace looked like a pool of blood, and all the knights were lifeless on the ground.

"What in the world..." he muttered, shocked.

"Your grace, about His Majesty, the king-" the man on his side was cut off as he signaled for him to stop.

They looked at the duke, worried but wary.

The Duke, King Themis' cousin, was notorious for being violent and merciless. Nonetheless, he was standing in front of the Palace, looking dejected. Maybe it's because he was the king's cousin, and they've been friends since they were children.

"Your Grace," the concerned woman stated. Looks like his servant.

She found herself taken aback when she was about to soothe the duke by reaching for his shoulder. Her hand hung in the air as his grace, Christos, began laughing psychopathically.

" The throne will be mine!" he expressed.

There were no sadness or tears on the duke's face; he appeared to have been waiting for this for a long time.

The servant and Guy stared at his grace, horrified. They believe they are seeing a man who will turn destructive and amoral once he sits on the throne.

Two weeks later, after Christos travels to the Palace. The story quickly spreads, alarming Damayanti and Themis.

They are aware of the type of guy the duke is. He will abuse his power once he has it.

"Your Highness, you need to return to the palace," Damayanti remarked, looking concerned.

"I can't," he said sternly.

He was worrying about the Princess' safety. Knowing that if he returned to take the throne, Casimir might appear and hunt him and the princess.

He will not let that happen.

"Then what should we do, Your Highness?"

"Let him," he said, looking at the caught off-guard Priest.

"For the sake of my daughter, let him," he muttered coldly, leaving the room. The priest is left in bewilderment, yet he understands the King.

If Themis takes the throne, the princess will be in danger. If Themis gives his cousin, Christos, the throne, the entire town will be in disarray and turmoil.

This would be the king's most difficult decision.

It's either the princess or his people.
