[Class 1A]
Just like the doors say, Eijiro and Mina arrive walking in. The duo see the classroom half full, two people arguing with each other, and the others just standing by.
"Helloo everyone! My name is Mina Ashido. Nice to meet you!" She gave a thumbs-up and was already going to shake everyone's hand.
The one student standing and arguing with the one sitting stopped and turned to him, saying, Ahem, nice to meet you. "My name is Iida Tenya. I'm from Soumei Junior High School and look forward to meeting you!"
Likewise, my name's Kirishima Eijiro," he smiled, shaking hands with him. Hearing his name, some students turned to him.
"So it's YOU WHO STOLE FIRST PLACE FROM ME!" The one sitting, which he already knew as Bakugo,
His shouting was for nothing as Iida moved in front of him and said, "So it's you who scored 105 points. I must commend you; your scores truly show what it means to truly be a hero."
"Hehe, thanks."
One by one, he introduced himself to everyone, receiving glares from Bakugo every second. "Such a simple quirk, but it just means you used it exceptionally when fighting the villain," Iida commented as he mentioned his quirk.
"What kind of quirk is that!? Fight me!" Bakugo yelled, "I'll crush you and show you I'm better!"
"What no? I mean, I'd be down; it would help with my training," Eijiro muttered, but soon the class filled up, and a green-haired boy and a brown-haired girl entered.
"Nice to meet you, Midoriya, he said as he shook the boy's hands, smiling and also introducing himself to Ochako.
Soon the class filled, and everyone was buzzing until Aizawa flopped through the door.
"This is the Department of Heroics, so if you're going to be hunting for buddies, do it elsewhere," he said, getting up. "It took you ten seconds to quiet down."
'Eraser head,' Eijiro thought, "I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta. It's a pleasure meeting you." He said he was pulling out a UA tracksuit.
"Wear these immediately and head to the PE grounds."
'I'm not going to lie, these uniforms are cool,' Eijiro smiled, stretching in his new clothing.
"Now that you're here, it's time to start with the quirk apprehension test."
'What!?' Almost everyone mentally screamed.
"You all understand the school's reputation for freedom on campus, and that applies to us teachers too; you will be retaking all the physical tests you've taken in middle school, except you'll be using your quirks. Bakugo, your softball pitch was 67 metres long. Try it again with your quirk this time. Don't hold back."
"Got it!" He reeled back and, with a massive explosion, threw the ball! "DIE!"
-Boom!
"Before anything, one must know their limits," he said as he pulled his phone out [705.2 m].
Everyone marvelled at the thought of using their quirks.
"Fun? Do you think you'll be in UA for three years having fun? Alight, then the person to score last in this test will be judged hopeless and immediately expelled."
Eijiro grinned, slamming his fists, and he wasn't alone; this was the UA experience he was expecting. He knew this was a bluff, but that wouldn't stop him from having fun.
In the 50-metre dash, he didn't use his quirk because it would make him heavier and slow him down, but he beat his middle school record, now scoring 5.21 seconds.
'Nice,' he grinned, beating his 7.30 record. What followed was the grip strength test. "I can use my quirk for this one."
He was sure it boosted his strength, and he was right gripping the machine, beating his 340 KG of force. One by one, he did well on the trials, taking them seriously and trying to gauge his abilities better.
Still, the surprise of Ochako scoring an infinity was insane. "How can the machine know that?"
It was his turn to pitch, and he focused all his hardening on his arm. If I beat my record by a lot, then it should support the idea of hardening my muscles and not just my skin.'
-Creek!
His arm hardened and grew as he gripped the ball and threw it with all his strength. He had trained harder than before and showed the result as it released the wind around him, kicked off, and soared through the sky.
[50.3 metres] in middle school and now [205.7 metres]
'Nice, he fist-bumped himself and moved back.' Soon enough, it was Midoriya's turn, and like he'd seen, he used his quirk to push it out of his fingertip.
"Aizawa sensei, I'm still standing," he said, clutching his fist from the pain.
"Now that's a manly moment right there," Kirishima said, wiping a tear. "So cool."
"So manly is your thing, then," Ochako said.
"Don't get him started," Mina grinned, "then the moment he does, he'll get into a speech about manliness and how everyone's manly and should always give it their all."
"That sounds very positive for the lifestyle of a future hero," Iida said, tilting his glasses.
"See exactly!" Eijiro patted his chest with a smile.
"What is this, Deku? Explain yourself!" Bakugo exploded and charged, but before he could
Eijiro grabbed his hand, saying, "Let me go, you!"
-Boom!
"Take it easy," Eijiro cleared the smoke fully hardened; it was just one blast and the next moment their quirks were disabled by the Eraser Head.
'I just realised, why doesn't he get eye surgery or something?'
"Alright, now that everyone's calmed down, I'll reveal the results. Instead of going one by one, I'll reveal everyone's results immediately. Oh yeah, and that whole expulsion thing was a lie."
"WHAT!?"
"It didn't seem like a smart thing to do as a teacher," Eijiro said, crossing his arms.
"But you were also giving it your all," Iida said.
Yeah, because I wanted to test out my quirk." He answered.
"Right now that class is dismissed, Midoriya, head over to the recovery girl to get yourself healed, and the curriculum sheets are back in the classrooms. I suggest everyone carefully study them."
"Aizawa sensei, can I also go to recovery, girl?"
"You're not hurt, right? So why?" He asked for some eye drops.
"I just need some advice, and I figured her department must have an X-ray machine, right?"
He sighed and handed Eijiro a pass as well. With the class dismissed, everyone left, and both went to the recovery girl. Of course, Midoriya went first to get his finger healed.
"Wow, thank you, recovery girl, and oh, why do I suddenly feel so tired?" He groaned.
"My quirk magnifies your natural strength to recover, so if you are too weak to recover, it'd be the same as dying," she smiled, giving home some sweets.
'Woah, I thought it was just a healing kiss.' Kirishima was surprised and chuckled.
"T-thank you very much. Ah, it's Eijiro's turn. I'm sorry for taking up the time; it is too hard pretending not to be hurt." Deku sheepishly smiled and stood up.
"I'm not hurt!"
"Eh, but then why are you here?"
"I'm also curious now; you wouldn't be here as a fan, would you? I'm sorry, but I'm out of your league," she laughed, getting off her chair.
Kirishima nearly had a stroke but shook it off. He reached into his pocket, pulling out his training manual. "It's about my quirk; I was wondering if you had an X-ray machine."
"Manly quirk manual? Gasp! You have a quirk book too! Do you categorise every quirk by type or hero?" Midoriya beamed and went all up in his face.
"First of all, it's just a manual on my quirk, so I can better understand and grow into becoming the best hero I can, and second, step back; you're getting too close."
As that happened, the recovery girl returned with a tablet and said, "Here you go; it works as an X-ray; I can't lend it, so you can only use it here." She showed them its camera, and it took a picture showing the outline of objects.
He took it, handed it to Midoriya, and asked him to take a picture of his arm. He hardened it to the same degree he did when he threw the ball back then.
"May I ask the reason for the X-ray?" The recovery girl, intrigued by what she was watching, decided to ask.
"My quirk, from what my doctor told me, hardens my skin, but I do not think that's true; if it were, then I wouldn't be stronger in my hardened form, so-" He was cut off by the recovery girl.
"So the X-ray is to see whether your quirk functions on your body as well, and if it does, it would explain the increase in strength." She finished.
"The pictures were done," Modirya said, leaning down. The three moved over to see it; it was barely noticeable, but the exterior of his muscles had rock-like patterns all over.
"So that confirms it. Now I need to be able to harden my muscles to further my strength. I'll need a lot of control training for this, though. Where do I start? My tongue is probably a safe place to start and slowly work my way, then when I get some hang of it, I should try to only partially harden my muscles to see where..." he kept on mumbling about possible paths where he could take this.
It was until she snapped him out of it.
"Ah right, hehe, sorry about that, but thank you very much!" He bowed down to her.
"Ohoho, there's no need to thank me; I can't wait to see how far you grow." She laughed and gave him some candy and a sticker.
"Thanks again!" He said as they both left the medical department on the way back, Eijiro was updating his manual with his discovery.
"You have an amazing quirk, Eijiro," Midoriya said, looking at his finger. "It's so cool."
He paused, looking up from his manual. "Really? Well, thank you. You know, I always thought it was kind of plain that you needed a flashy quirk to be a hero, but I think I've had it wrong. It's not the quirk that makes a person a hero; it's the person. And you also got a cool quirk, but that backlash, though."
Both let out a dry chuckle before they continued their way back to class.
"I was waiting on you, Kirishima. What was taking you so long? Did you get hurt?" She frowned with a hint of concern.
"No, I just wanted to study my quirk. I learned something new; I'll tell you about it later."
Soon, they all left. Separating from Midoriya, both went the same way home, with Eijiro going about what he confirmed about his quirk and what it meant for him.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter comment to let me know and see you next time!
Also, has anyone got a good high school dxd fic for me?
