Finding humanity

In the time that the main part of the crew was gone, a single person just woke up from his sleep on board the ship.

Stretching himself, Soren looked around in search of the others, as it was strangely quiet for them.

"Guys? Anyone there?"

Soren looked all over the ship, only to find a single note near a plate of pre-made breakfast.

[We've already gone ahead to the island. Have fun watching the ship. If we're not back by evening, do come looking for us. The most likely place would be the bar~]

The note trembled slightly in his trembling hands as Soren stared at it intently, his emotions clear on his face.

"Those! Those bastards! They left me AGAIN!"

Crumbling the note, Soren rushed outside, gathering food and equipment for a few weeks just to be certain and left to climb the wall.

Once on top, his mouth hung agape.

"Seems it will take a while to find them. I should get some more food and other stuff, just to be sure."

Just like that, Soren went back to the ship to pack up for any unseen circumstances he could run into this strange island.

"Hey Ban, any clue where to go next? This place looks just as infected as the outside."

Akane muttered.

She was back in her hybrid form, looking from a distance at the walls that were stretched far before them.

"There is no harm in looking at this place a bit more, is there. Sure, there might be creepy titans, like the first walls be crossed. But this time there isn't any hole is there! Even if there are titans, isn't it nice to fight those things for once, seeing if they can withstand a simple punch. We haven't fought them yet."

The others strangely kept quiet as they looked at the towering walls.

On top of the walls there were tiny figures moving about. They must be humans.

"There is no helping it. Let's go see what this city looks like."

Transforming back, she let the others back on her back and flew up to the wall. The people she saw there were all clad in the same brown uniform, strange equipment on their hips.

The others dropped of, as she turned back.

The other party quickly drew their swords and pointed it at them.

"Who the hell are you?!"

One brown haired boy yelled.

"Eren! Calm down."

A black haired girl said, pulling the boy, Eren, a bit back.

"But Mikasa! They clearly aren't human!"

"Eren!"

As the two bickered, Akane looked out over the city, which looked a lot more peacefull than the other one.

*Shiver*

Suddenly, the hair on the back of her neck rose.

Glancing over her shoulder, a titan, one far bigger than the ones they had seen before appeared in front of them.

"Wow! A big one has appeared~"

Ban said, as he whistled at the towering figure.

"Ban-san. This isn't the time for that. It clearly is attacking."

Shinobu chided, looking at the titan with a glimmering interest.

"It appeared!"

Eren yelled, right before it kicked into the wall, creating a big hole inside of it. The force was so big, it blasted all the ones on top of the wall from it. Well, all but the ones for Akane's group.

"How fun~ Do it again, Do it again!"

Ban shouted, waving in excitement at the titan, not perturbed at all by its towering frame.

"Honestly, you can be so easygoing. It is baffling"

Laffite muttered, twirling his cane a bit as the usual creepy smile appeared on his face again.

Eren got back up the wall. He rushed at the titan with a zealous anger, the device on his hips making his move about in a flexible and fast way. The huge titan swept his arms about, with it taking out the top of the walls and cannons, folloing up with trying to get rid of Eren.

The whole time this ws happening, Akane and the rest were sitting on the destroyed wall, having easily dodged the titans attack, and were watching Eren attack it.

"A ten thousand berri he's going to mess up."

"I'll take you up on that. He might pull it off somehow."

Ban put up the bet and Lafitte accepted, as they both made themselves at easy and got out a bottle of beer.

"Gambling, really...haa..."

Shinobu muttered, leaving the boys to spectate as she and Akane left to look at the people rushing about just on the other side of the wall.

"Shall we help them, Akane-chan? We don't know enough about these creatures to effectively fight them. The log pose might take a while to record the magnetical field as well, so it wouldn't hurt to experience something extraordinary."

Akane listened to Shinobu, having come to the same outcome as well after thinking about it.

"I agree. Though it depends on what their reply is to our assistance. They don't seem to know about devil fruits if you ask me. It might get annoying later down the line."

"Isn't it always?"

Having these thoughts, they observed up to the point they heard Lafitte sigh in defeat, having given ten thousands berri to Ban.

The big titan that was once there had disappeared.

"That was so lame! There wasn't even any real attack at all."

Ban yammered, as he walked back with his hands in his pockets.

"Did you notice anything though?"

Akane asked.

"Ah, I did. He seems to move in the direction of this spot right here."

Ban pointed at the back of his neck.

"Figures it might be their weak point."

"Good work, Ban. Maybe we might be some help as of yet."

Akane replied.

In the time that they were talking, Eren and the others had left with another man.

"Might as well do some cleaning. The few others in uniform below us seem to be running away."

Nodding, they all jumped down, Shinobu sticking with Akane, while Lafitte left with Ban.

"I wonder when Soren is coming though. He does get fired up rather easily with a simple challenge."

Akane muttered as they split up to lower the amount of titans getting in.
