Accused of being a terrorist, Montana Mills had been driven out of his home. Seeking vengeance, he ran to an organization to train and hunt down the person who stole his identity. However, things take a turn for the worse when the person ends up being a witch. Witch… they are the people who received powers from demons in exchange for helping the demons propagate sins. Rendering the normal weapons useless against their kind, the witches only have a few fears. Montana Mills is just an ordinary person who summoned a demon for a hellhound; he has no idea he would be on a path to fully embrace the dark magic just for his personal gain. However, his handler, Belphegor, has more plans for him. Using his sudden spark of vindication, Belphegor wage a war against the master of the terrorist—his own brother at arms, Satan. Gaining the support of more and more Princes of Hell, Montana gets pit against one of them. Stakes rise, and even his forgotten past is unearthed. Embracing a new name to propel his goals forward, Montana willingly enters the world of demons… and even vied to replace the Demon Prince of Wrath himself. ... "So it all came to this. You and me, finally standing face-to-face." A wide, menacing grin spread on Satan's face as he looked down at the approaching witch. "Tell me, Montana Mills... how was your descent to Hell?" "Worth the wait." Montana lifted his left arm and curled his fingers, blue flames blazing to turn it into a four-fingered claw. "Since you're looking forward to meeting me, I take it as you getting ready to fall by my hands." Satan only got up from the throne and dropped the goblet at the side as his humongous bat-like wings slowly spread behind him, casting a shadow that ate up the entire width of the chamber. He raised both hands as if downplaying the witch's words. "You really think you can kill me now?" Montana crouched down and summoned the blue flames to embrace his body as a silhouette of a hellhound emerged around him. "I do." Boom! He dashed towards the demon prince at the speed of sound and swung down his claw. Satan only laughed out as he summoned bones to cover his arms and block the attack. A loud sound and a brutal shockwave followed and rippled through the air as Montana's claw struck against Satan's arm. With their eyes getting at the same level, Satan returned the glare that Montana gave him. However, Montana grinned as well as his dark eyes lit up brightly in blue fire. "Do you really think I can't take your place as a demon prince?" ... This is a work of fiction. All similarities to events and people are coincidental.

Nadin Jaeger is Found

A sigh escaped Mephisto's lips. To be honest, that was all Montana Mills wanted for himself. A peaceful life with his little hellhound. However, Nadin Jaeger crashed into his life and ruined everything Montana got going for himself.

Maybe it was bad before Caliga came along, but Nadin didn't have the right to destroy it.

Montana knew that Mephisto had something similar in mind, but at least it wouldn't be as awful as what happened. If Nadin didn't step into Montana's life, he would be a serial killer at most. Being an assassin and a top-class witch weren't even on the list.

His hand reached out to stroke at Noah's face. "Yes, yes, a peaceful life…"

"Mephisto, how long do you think this is going to last?" Noah leaned into his touch and flicked his gaze at the demon.

"How long are you willing to fight?" Mephisto smiled as a response.

To be honest, Noah was already lucky. If Nadin didn't force Montana to flee the city and be resentful, Mephisto didn't know how long the precious cinnamon could keep on killing people. Would Montana lose his mind like the others, or would he be miserable all throughout his life?

Just by merely thinking of all of these, the demon negotiator was starting to feel like someone else was participating in their little game of pushing Montana Mills from one place to another.

"Oh, so it's all up to me?" Noah only smiled back, but his smile was nothing happy. It was strange as if he was telling Mephisto that he was able to do something crazy.

However, that was the last word spoken between the two of them.

The afternoon quietly slipped away into the night, and Noah was cooking dinner for him and the child. While he was waiting for the meat to cook, he moved to the window and started tidying up the small sill.

This window could oversee the alley between the two apartment complexes. When he worked on it, he eventually looked out at the opposite window… finally seeing Luca who was stunned at the sight of the man. Noah only smiled at him.

"You lived around here?!" Luca yelled from his window, but he only received a gesture from Noah. 'Shhh?' Why would he be asking him not to yell?

A moment after, another person opened her window and yelled at Luca for being so loud at night.

Luca gasped and quickly eyed at Noah, but he was already gone from the view. Later, Luca's phone began to ring. He went to answer the call from an unknown number. "Hello?"

"Have you eaten? Do you want me to bring something to eat for you?"

"Huh? No, I haven't eaten yet." Luca cleared his throat. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't want to pass. He had already eaten with his uncle before coming home just now. He was just about to sleep and was locking up when he saw Noah. "Why are you giving me food?"

"Nothing. You just look like you're hungry and tired."

Luca paused and turned to the direction of the window in the kitchen. He blinked once before holding onto his stomach.

Actually, he wasn't really full as he heard depressing news from his uncle and from that Allan Cicero. Perhaps he could make use of that as a reason to get close to a witch and gain information.

Yes, he's only doing this for information. Nothing else.

"Okay. I'm going to prepare some plates."

Luca hung up and noticed that he didn't even ask Noah if he was going to eat there as well. He slapped his forehead and quietly worked on making the table.

In Noah's unit, the witch laughed out. How could something so innocent and trusting be a hunter?

He then pocketed his phone and attended to the stew. Since he was going to make food for one more adult, he went to the fridge and scrapped for more meat from the boned ham he bought. He then started on sautéing it on butter before tossing more ingredients.

A small figure came to the kitchen entrance and peeked through the curtain. Her blue eyes flickered before going to Noah's side. "Noah, that smells so good. Are we having dinner yet?"

"In a few more minutes. Do you want to come with me? I'm sharing the food with someone."

"Yes, yes, let's share food!" Rosanna cheered and went to put on some jacket over her dress when Noah asked her to.

After a few more minutes, he had already put food on microwavable containers and carried the bag in one hand while the other held onto Rosanna.

The reason why he wanted Luca to meet Rosanna was to get someone capable of protecting and rescuing her to be around aside from his hellhounds. She would feel safe with them, but she was still terrified of them in a battle. He needed someone who could make her relax.

Moreover, the Order of Michael was like SCC whose members were bound to protect the weak.

As long as her true nature wouldn't be revealed, Noah doubted the Order would hurt her. Also, if Rosanna grew on Luca, the man wouldn't just toss her into the fire.

Noah could be overestimating the good, but he wanted to put a few safeguards against all sides.

The doorbell rang, and Luca raced to the door. He was prepared to be neutral upon seeing Noah, but having a little girl holding his hand shocked him. Luca ended up chuckling. "Hello, little girl!"

"Hello, Uncle…" Rosanna recognized him as that man who was thrown away earlier than morning. He might be a hunter, but he didn't seem to know anything about her. She looked up at Noah after.

"Uhm, come in, come in." Luca completely failed and only berated himself inwardly. He let the two inside and into his dining room. The food was taken to the kitchen, and Noah and Luca went to plate them properly while Rosanna was staring at the dining table.

"You didn't say you have a daughter." Luca felt a little disappointed. The child was so beautiful, but she didn't look anything close to Noah. Her mother must be the one looking so gorgeous like her.

Noah worked on the dishes. He then shook his head as the disappointment in Luca's face grew apparent. "Nope, don't get me wrong. That girl is my niece. She calls me by my name though."

A sudden spark lit up Luca's eyes, but he quickly got rid of it. "Oh, a niece."

"She lost both of her parents. Her blood relatives didn't want to care for a young child so they threw her at me, a bachelor." Noah hummed as he murmured. From a perspective, Satan and the rest of the demon princes were all brothers. Rosanna was Mammon and Belphegor's niece by that logic. Noah wasn't lying at all.

"That's… so sad…" Luca's eyes dimmed as he somewhat remembered something. Then, he shook his head and promised not to make the child uncomfortable.

They took the food to the table and started eating. What was surprising was that Luca was good at talking with a child as well. He did come from a very social organization. Noah wondered how many children were trainees in the Order of Michael.

Rosanna was happy to have a new friend. Aside from Mephy, the pretty woman, and Noah; she had no other friends. Her mother wished for her to have a lot of friends, and she wanted to work on that goal.

Since the man didn't ask much about her parents, their talks were most likely about animals and places she wanted to go.

As she had a new friend, they ended up staying in Luca's house longer. It was already midnight when Rosanna fell asleep while watching a movie.

Luca put her up for the night before joining Noah on the couch. The movie was still on TV, but they were both on their phones. It was because messages to everyone had been sent, carrying a warning.

Nadin Jaeger was seen entering a hospital in Suffolk that afternoon. However, the agents who saw him lost contact with SCC.

So all the agents were requested to gather in headquarters as soon as possible.

Luca then eyed Noah and scratched his head. "I'm sorry, I might have to leave tonight. Something came up."

"It's okay, I'm taking Rosanna home." Noah didn't find it immediate. He already figured Bomberman knew someone was onto him. It would be harder to find him from now on. Moreover, whatever they would find on the corpses would be relayed to him sometime later.

With Rosanna sleeping on his back, Noah left for his unit.

Luca closed the door and took out his phone to dial a number. "Hello, Theresa, I'm on my way. How many confirmed attendance?"

After tucking Rosanna to bed that night, Noah wrote a note for her in case she woke up sooner. The latter had received a lot of calls from Theresa, but he didn't answer right away. Only after he finished putting up the child for the night did he send a voice message to her.

"I'm coming."

Noah felt the urgency in Theresa's actions. If they were having an emergency, he might as well come.

Besides, Caliga had been acting strangely. It was as if he knew that a strong witch was about to show themselves. Whether they were going to attack SCC or not, it could be that big fish Noah was after.

Bomberman must have tracked the agents back to SCC and was on his way to return the favor.
